The first time I encountered this book was when I was browsing for a poetry book to read, somehow the title that lured my attention and I ordered it same time online。 I received it yesterday, read it and finished it same day。 I looked at the emblem with the title then I concluded "circles of life and energies of the universe concatenate"。 With the circle representing the circle of life, triangle representing the energies of the universe and lastly the wifi icon as the connector of both the trian The first time I encountered this book was when I was browsing for a poetry book to read, somehow the title that lured my attention and I ordered it same time online。 I received it yesterday, read it and finished it same day。 I looked at the emblem with the title then I concluded "circles of life and energies of the universe concatenate"。 With the circle representing the circle of life, triangle representing the energies of the universe and lastly the wifi icon as the connector of both the triangle and circle。 Poetry for me is not for common mind and reading this book it was too deep and soul-catching。 I love this book and I will cherish it until until。。。。 i was the ocean you wanted rivers i was the moon you chased stars girls like you have roses inside of them that are strong enough to bloom the blizzards 。。。more

I had so much déjàvu reading this book idk it felt so nice to hear those words of empowerment and all but I guess this book wasn’t for me at all。 This book at first I thought was something about teaching a girl about confidence and love but it felt like yet another poetry book for broken hearts。

Very repetitive, feels like the whole thing is just for a girl going through heartbreak, to convince her she can keep going。 Only really liked one page in the whole book:The moon is watching youIt hears your sighsIt witnesses your strugglesTo close your eyes

Incredibly short poetry collection that features some impactful poems, making you rethink your relationships and some poems you’ll recite to your friends when they tell you about theirs。

** Emotionally Short Review Every single piece is beautiful, and it reminds me of the past, the moment of breaking down in the life turmoil, yet choosing not to quit but go on。 I used to read a poem like this and cry but now here I am, smiling while knowing that I am at peace with myself and the entire world。

I first flipped the pages of this poetry book one night last week when I was looking for another poetry book to read。 I was reminded of the pain I experienced from 5 years ago。 The pain of not being enough to a person you once thought would choose you。 I had to stop in the middle of reading because it was just too much at that time。 I came back to finish it today and my tears fell when I read a poetry about a father。 Here it goes:"your fatherthe first man to disappoint youthe first man to let yo I first flipped the pages of this poetry book one night last week when I was looking for another poetry book to read。 I was reminded of the pain I experienced from 5 years ago。 The pain of not being enough to a person you once thought would choose you。 I had to stop in the middle of reading because it was just too much at that time。 I came back to finish it today and my tears fell when I read a poetry about a father。 Here it goes:"your fatherthe first man to disappoint youthe first man to let you downthe first man to cause youto lower your expectationshe loved you, yesbut i guess not enoughto protect youwhile you loved him enoughto look past his failures"I love my father very much。 I consider myself a papa's girl until he left me for good after everything I did for him during my younger years。 Then I realized that my fear of being abandoned by people intensified after that。 I see the pattern of people leaving came first from the experience of my parents separating and leaving me to my Lola。 Haaay, it's still so painful because I also watched a KDrama of an absentee father。 What are the odds that I consumed both of them in consecutive days。。。。 😌 。。。more

I am usually a fan of this Rupi Kaur style, contemporary poetry。 I had huge hopes for it, I loved the title and I wanted it resonate with me as previous poetry I’ve read has done, where I go back to it yearning for the life lessons the words fed me。 However, it did massively disappoint。 Overall, the structure of the poems were set up in was incoherent and lacked flow - the poetry seemed shoved in and even rushed at times - like they had pages to fill so resorted to numbers (‘1:11’ - What is the I am usually a fan of this Rupi Kaur style, contemporary poetry。 I had huge hopes for it, I loved the title and I wanted it resonate with me as previous poetry I’ve read has done, where I go back to it yearning for the life lessons the words fed me。 However, it did massively disappoint。 Overall, the structure of the poems were set up in was incoherent and lacked flow - the poetry seemed shoved in and even rushed at times - like they had pages to fill so resorted to numbers (‘1:11’ - What is the context behind that?) I will give it some credit (hence the 1 star), as about three of the poems were interesting and I could relate to them。 Ultimately though, if you’re searching for a beautiful poetry collection that will move you and force you to come back to read it time and time again, I’d recommend you look elsewhere。 。。。more

A beautiful book of poems for the broken hearted!I loved this so much; the poems are really beautiful and spoke to me。 I discovered this the perfect time as I'm going through a heartbreak myself at the moment, and this was exactly what I needed。 That shows how good this is as it did what it was set to do。 It made feel slightly better and see things in a different light, and I adored that。I Hope This Reaches Her In Time definitely reached me in time!"It's almost as if her soul is a pack of wolves A beautiful book of poems for the broken hearted!I loved this so much; the poems are really beautiful and spoke to me。 I discovered this the perfect time as I'm going through a heartbreak myself at the moment, and this was exactly what I needed。 That shows how good this is as it did what it was set to do。 It made feel slightly better and see things in a different light, and I adored that。I Hope This Reaches Her In Time definitely reached me in time!"It's almost as if her soul is a pack of wolves, she's brave, she's strong, she's unstoppable。" 。。。more

There’s some sections that are good。 Bits and pieces, excerpts, that are poignant and observant。 Even beautiful, perhaps。 I want to like this。 But I don’t think I like it。 It’s just not touching or human in the way poetry needs to be。 It does not elicit a strong emotional reaction。 I don’t see anyone within it。 It’s just。。。words。 It doesn’t succeed at delivering the message it aims to deliver, not really。 It’s too meandering, too scattered。 It’s short, so I don’t have much more to say。 Only that There’s some sections that are good。 Bits and pieces, excerpts, that are poignant and observant。 Even beautiful, perhaps。 I want to like this。 But I don’t think I like it。 It’s just not touching or human in the way poetry needs to be。 It does not elicit a strong emotional reaction。 I don’t see anyone within it。 It’s just。。。words。 It doesn’t succeed at delivering the message it aims to deliver, not really。 It’s too meandering, too scattered。 It’s short, so I don’t have much more to say。 Only that I wish those poignant sections were what made up the entire book。There are good bits。 They’re just not enough to save the collection as a whole。 。。。more

I really wanted do love this I follow r。h Sin on Instagram and I love his little snippets and the long posts he'll make under the pictures。 I found so many of them moving, gentle, kind and relatable so I very much wanted to check out his official works。 This was on sale I grabbed it the moment I could。 Let me just say I am not a poetry expert but this just wasn't for me。 Some of the poems didn't feel like poems at all but rather like those Instagram posts (yet not even as good as the ones I read I really wanted do love this I follow r。h Sin on Instagram and I love his little snippets and the long posts he'll make under the pictures。 I found so many of them moving, gentle, kind and relatable so I very much wanted to check out his official works。 This was on sale I grabbed it the moment I could。 Let me just say I am not a poetry expert but this just wasn't for me。 Some of the poems didn't feel like poems at all but rather like those Instagram posts (yet not even as good as the ones I read from him daily) or like a simple quote and not really poetry。 I also couldn't relate to most of the poems in here which might just mean, out of all his books I simply picked up the wrong one。 Each one of his collection I know are geared towards a certain demographic going through a certain period in their life。 These poems seem so much from the angle of how the person that inflicted emotional wounds onto someone that loves them might feel once that person has left them。 The 'you'll search for her in everyone you meet' 'you'll stay up all night missing her and she won't be there' kind of thing which isn't bad but for me right now isn't the perspective I want to read from。 His poems are written in a way where if I can't relate to it, connect with it then it just doesn't work for me (because they just feel like someone talking to me not like I'm reading poetry so it'll just feel like someone talking to me about something I absolutely do not care about) if that makes sense。 Anyway I definitely will try his other works later on。 。。。more
