3。5* Not as good as the first volume but I still love it。

I adored the first volume, but this one kicks it up a ton。It's funnier, more action packed and easier to follow than the first volume。Everything I said back there applies here, this series is top quality! I find it funny that my favorite thing right now is about a psychokinetic boy whose main problem is not that he has powers, but that he has emotions。

a bit drawn out but fun。 mob and teru are excellent foils, one determined to smother any aspect that sets him apart while the other clings to self-worth under this cover。 mob certainly has the right idea, though i'm of the opinion that attempting to suppress a natural part of yourself will only lead to more pain and—as is evidenced—an eventual explosion of those repressed emotions that cause even more damage due to your inability to mitigate。 one illustrates fight scenes quite well, in equal par a bit drawn out but fun。 mob and teru are excellent foils, one determined to smother any aspect that sets him apart while the other clings to self-worth under this cover。 mob certainly has the right idea, though i'm of the opinion that attempting to suppress a natural part of yourself will only lead to more pain and—as is evidenced—an eventual explosion of those repressed emotions that cause even more damage due to your inability to mitigate。 one illustrates fight scenes quite well, in equal parts satirizing as well as memorializing delinquent manga stereotypes, with their own humor embedded。 the art is still。。。distinctive, but i love how they utilize lines and shading to portray extra emotion and action—not easy to do on paper。 。。。more

Okay, I already loved the first volume, but this one really stepped it up! More action and humour, dynamic art, and a deeper understanding into Shigeo/Mob's character - can't wait to read the next one! Tak terbayang kalau One-Punch Man diterbitkan resmi apa adanya dengan artwork asli ONE bukannya artwork Yusuke Murata, sebagaimana serial yang satu ini。。。But if you just want the story and not the presentation, you get it!

Somehow, ONE manages to make a semi-interesting story, into one that really draws people in。 This is similar to the last。 The art is so strange。 I think that it was drawn without a pencil sketch underneath it, by the look of the lines。 Regardless, this is not my favorite style。 The story is great。 It’s humorous and charming all while keeping an element of mystery surrounding Mob。

I can relate to Mob on such a personal level。For once, I‘m also an incredibly powerful psychic/exorcist。。。。。。。。。。。。Yeah

After the appalling first volume, I was surprised how good this was。 I love the body improvement club, they weren’t taking any nonsense, knew exactly what they wanted and went for it。 Even Mob was good even though how deadpan he is, it bounced off other characters perfectly。 The action was pretty good as well, dragged a little towards the end but otherwise solid。

Middle-school student Shigeo Kageyama, aka "Mob", has superpowers。 But his powers can't give him social skills -- or muscles to impress girls -- or help him solve math problems。 He envies his younger brother Ritsu, who's good-looking, popular, tops in all his classes, an all-rounder in sports 。。。 but Ritsu always expected that he would one day develop superpowers like his brother, and hasn't come to terms with the fact that that's not happening。I was expecting this volume to more or less continu Middle-school student Shigeo Kageyama, aka "Mob", has superpowers。 But his powers can't give him social skills -- or muscles to impress girls -- or help him solve math problems。 He envies his younger brother Ritsu, who's good-looking, popular, tops in all his classes, an all-rounder in sports 。。。 but Ritsu always expected that he would one day develop superpowers like his brother, and hasn't come to terms with the fact that that's not happening。I was expecting this volume to more or less continue in the vein of the first book, with just-adequate art but an intriguing low-key story, with Shigeo mostly struggling with everyday challenges while being circled by people, and entities, who want to use him and his powers for their own ends, in particular Shigeo's employer/mentor, con man and flimflam artist Reigen, a phoney "psychic" who calls in Mob whenever he comes up against a real ghost or spirit。But 。。。 halfway through this book events turn in a radically different direction, and about the last 90 pages of the main story are an apocalyptic battle between Shigeo and another "superhuman"。 It seems too early in this series for something like that, and the battle is a strange one in that Shigeo refuses to use his powers offensively against another person, even if that person is attacking him, while his opponent refuses to settle for a draw。 In the course of the fight a character who made the story more interesting gets wiped out -- apparently; I'll read the third book when it comes out, and if that character survives after all I might revise this review a bit。 Also during the battle, the teenager confronting Shigeo gets the top of his head shaved, and he looks like a weird old man for the rest of the episode。 And the last chapter of the grimly serious fight is book ended by two pages of a vignette featuring Reigen which have a totally different tone, as do the two bonus stories that round out the book。 It's enough to make a reader ask about author ONE -- as a ghost repeatedly asked about Reigen in the first book -- "what's with this guy?" 。。。more

Time for a turf war that devolves into an epic(?) fight between two boys with superpowers。Again, this is a gag manga so it's full of jokes, most of which are hit and miss。 It does what it was meant to do, but overall, my personal opinion is still only about lukewarm。 This volume does have a nice cliffhanger ending that looks epic。This series has 16 volumes。 Time for a turf war that devolves into an epic(?) fight between two boys with superpowers。Again, this is a gag manga so it's full of jokes, most of which are hit and miss。 It does what it was meant to do, but overall, my personal opinion is still only about lukewarm。 This volume does have a nice cliffhanger ending that looks epic。This series has 16 volumes。 。。。more

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it, click here。 I remember this volume in the arc where Kageyama meets Teru。 Teru is definitely a character that struggles with how he views his own life in relation to the world。 Often, like many people, teens would see themselves as special compared to everyone around them。 It’s like the world is in their hands。 They’re the protagonist。 And in the fight between Kageyama, the ultimate background character, against Teru, the self absorbed protagonist of his own life, it portrays the heartbreaking emotion of how I remember this volume in the arc where Kageyama meets Teru。 Teru is definitely a character that struggles with how he views his own life in relation to the world。 Often, like many people, teens would see themselves as special compared to everyone around them。 It’s like the world is in their hands。 They’re the protagonist。 And in the fight between Kageyama, the ultimate background character, against Teru, the self absorbed protagonist of his own life, it portrays the heartbreaking emotion of how one could try and justify their own special worth。 Teru desperately tries to confirm his specialness (Esper ability) by demonstrating his superiority over Kageyama, who has an overwhelmingly greater power himself。 His constant offense against Kageyama represents the continually desire to be special, yet the impenetrable defense of Kageyama is the hard reality that doesn’t lose。Mob Psycho is for sure one of my favorites with the combination of random jokes, unique art style, and the growing plot and underlying meaning。 The first volume felt more like an introduction now that I’ve read this one。 。。。more
