Baldacci is one of my favorite writers， and I love his stories。 I must read different than a lot of other people; because the things that they are critical of， I am not even looking for。 I read lots of different writers: Baldacci， Grisham， Iles， Child， Sandford， Flynn， Cornwell， Connelly。 Burke， Woods， Gerritsen， Thor， and a few others。 I'm not looking for the great American classic， because that doesn't fit me。 I'm looking for something that can absorb my mind for a while。 I don't want to have Baldacci is one of my favorite writers， and I love his stories。 I must read different than a lot of other people; because the things that they are critical of， I am not even looking for。 I read lots of different writers: Baldacci， Grisham， Iles， Child， Sandford， Flynn， Cornwell， Connelly。 Burke， Woods， Gerritsen， Thor， and a few others。 I'm not looking for the great American classic， because that doesn't fit me。 I'm looking for something that can absorb my mind for a while。 I don't want to have to think too much。 I don't want to look for editing and grammatical errors， or even minor flaws in the plot （even if they seem too unbelievable）。 I gave up television a couple of years ago （except for college football and NCIS and NCIS-New Orleans）。 I just want to pass the time， and enjoy a good （doesn't even have to be great） story。 Baldacci is one of the best， and to me， his stories border on being great。 I have read all of his multi-volume stories except "The Memory Man" and "King and Maxwell"。 I intend to take care of "King and Maxwell" in the next few weeks。 I really believe that Sean King and Michelle Maxwell are going to be fun to follow。 。。。more

For an author of his stature- the plot was sloppy in the layers。 Sure， he summed it all up in the end but I still felt let down。 The ending or epilogue wasn’t fulfilling and I’ve no interest in reading the subsequent works。 I felt the same way with the last of the will robie series。 Another book to get from a library and not to buy （I got this out of a Little free library， where it will return）。 Try me again Mr。 Balducci。

So Mr Baldacci it’s been a while between visits， always nice to read your books。 I enjoyed the King and Maxwell characters but found the plot lost credibility at the end。 The length the antagonist went to seeking revenge was just too far fetched。 Hoping for a more believable plot when I pay my next visit to the series
