Summary

Naomi and Ethan will test the boundaries of love in this provocative romance from the author of the ground-breaking debut, The Roommate

Naomi Grant has built her life around going against the grain。 After the sex-positive start-up she cofounded becomes an international sensation, she wants to extend her educational platform to live lecturing。 Unfortunately, despite her long list of qualifications, higher ed won't hire her。

Ethan Cohen has recently received two honors: LA Mag named him one of the city's hottest bachelors and he became rabbi of his own synagogue。 Taking a gamble in an effort to attract more millennials to the faith, the executive board hired Ethan because of his nontraditional background。 Unfortunately, his shul is low on both funds and congregants。 The board gives him three months to turn things around or else they'll close the doors of his synagogue for good。

Naomi and Ethan join forces to host a buzzy seminar series on Modern Intimacy, the perfect solution to their problems--until they discover a new one--their growing attraction to each other。 They've built the syllabus for love's latest experiment, but neither of them expected they'd be the ones putting it to the test。

I liked this one so much better than The Roommate (I didn’t like that one very much)。 I was nervous going in but it exceeded my expectations。 It was so much more than I anticipated, its messaging cleverly packaged。You don’t need to read the first to read this one。 I recommend picking this one up!side note: less 🔥 than The Roommate, but more substance behind the characters。

This one was disappointing after the Roommate。 Much too much focus on religion and not enough smut。

While THE ROOMMATE stormed in 🍆 slapping, THE INTIMACY PROJECT walked in with a cup of coffee ready to chat。 Pick your poison, that is all。

I really love this series。 And the audiobooks are great。 I hope Rosie Danan writes many books down the road because she is a new go to author for me。 We met Naomi Grant in the first book, and I remember how annoying I thought she was。 Well, I now love her。 As a previous sex worker, Naomi wants people to take her seriously。 She's used to preparing to be let down。 So when the opportunity arises to teach at a Synagogue about sex intimacy she jumps on it。 Especially when the ever attractive Ethan is I really love this series。 And the audiobooks are great。 I hope Rosie Danan writes many books down the road because she is a new go to author for me。 We met Naomi Grant in the first book, and I remember how annoying I thought she was。 Well, I now love her。 As a previous sex worker, Naomi wants people to take her seriously。 She's used to preparing to be let down。 So when the opportunity arises to teach at a Synagogue about sex intimacy she jumps on it。 Especially when the ever attractive Ethan is the Cohen is the Rabbi, the two fight of chemistry because a relationship between them both just wouldn't work。 Would it?The chemistry is fire with these two。 The sex is steamy too。 Highly, highly recommend this series。。。and reading The Roommate first, if you haven't read that one yet。 。。。more

Even if it wasn't the best for me, it might be for you! I always like to say that every book has its fans and there's no reason why you shouldn't at least give it a go!*I received this ARC through NetGalley and voluntarily read this book。 my thoughts and opinions are my own。 Thank you NetGalley and Berkley Publishing for giving me the chance to read an advanced copy!* 。。。more

Loved it!!! Reading the first book in series which is authors debut book I liked it a lot and when this one came out I was on it as fast as I could。 Reading this story is just pleasure。 Everything about it had something new, it had a new story set-up, ideology that you can find yourself at any point of age, the path towards faith can be different for everyone and most important, love can happen to anyone, anywhere and everywhere。 My reading experience was also something different while reading t Loved it!!! I was smiling the entire time I read this book。 Rosie Danan is a sex-positive feminist’s dream romance writer! Just like the first line would suggest, Naomi was indeeed a fully armored super woman。 But Danan takes us on a journey to not only learn why and how it makes her Shameless, but also to see the strength that comes with bringing your armor down and how scary it can be when your familiar fall back mechanisms fail。 “She hardly ever let herself be still with anyone, too afraid that if she di I was smiling the entire time I read this book。 Rosie Danan is a sex-positive feminist’s dream romance writer! ✨“Sometimes love is your own quiet rebellion。” ✨Settle in because this is longer than what I normally post, but this book deserves it。 THE INTIMACY EXPERIMENT by @rosiedanan is one of the most tender, authentic, and transcendent love stories I have ever read。 If you read The Roommate you’ll remember Naomi Grant as the tough and inaccessible co-founder of Shameless (and our leading lady in TIE)。 Naomi teams up with Rabbi Ethan Cohen to sponsor a lecture series on modern intimacy; she’s in it for ✨“Sometimes love is your own quiet rebellion。” ✨Settle in because this is longer than what I normally post, but this book deserves it。 THE INTIMACY EXPERIMENT by @rosiedanan is one of the most tender, authentic, and transcendent love stories I have ever read。 If you read The Roommate you’ll remember Naomi Grant as the tough and inaccessible co-founder of Shameless (and our leading lady in TIE)。 Naomi teams up with Rabbi Ethan Cohen to sponsor a lecture series on modern intimacy; she’s in it for the teaching experience and Ethan hopes it’ll draw new congregants to his synagogue。 They can’t deny their attraction and decide to use the course syllabus as a guide for their relationship。I was unprepared for how this book would affect me。 You see, I’m married to an ordained minister。 As long as I’ve known him, this call on his life has been a huge part of who he is。 A few years ago he was pastoring a church with the goal of revitalizing the small congregation。 He tried new things and he pushed the envelope。 Long story short, my husband wasn’t in that role for long before the board grew uncomfortable with his style, but also with me and my more liberal beliefs (to put it delicately)。 So when Naomi questions whether her background and her authentic self is compatible with Ethan’s faith and his calling, I felt it in my bones。That experience taught us that fighting for the health of both our faith and our marriage is always worth it。 As Danan writes, “love, like faith。。。asks us to trust。 To sit with our doubts。 To keep coming back and proving our commitment。”I could say so much more about this book and how amazing it is to see Jewish faith and culture represented so beautifully, or how empowering and sex positive it is。 Many other reviewers have done a more eloquent job at that than I could。 But I thought I’d share why this book was so moving and so important to me personally。 We each bring our own stories to the books we read and what a gift it is to see our experiences reflected, even in a small way, in the words of someone else。 It lets us know we are not alone。 。。。more
