I absolutely loved this story, it kept me guessing throughout the whole book and I loved how the action started at the beginning of the book and then we got to know the characters while they were navigating through everything。

Overall a fun light-hearted book that is suitable for most readers。 I enjoyed and appreciated the effort that this book made to develop the main characters and their relationships with eachother。 As for the mystery part, I have to say I was quite underwhelmed by the reveal at the end。 Infact, I remember when i was reading I kept hoping that there was going to be an even BIGGER plot twist at the end because I couldn't help feeling unsatisfied by the reveal。 I thought it was a little predictable a Overall a fun light-hearted book that is suitable for most readers。 I enjoyed and appreciated the effort that this book made to develop the main characters and their relationships with eachother。 As for the mystery part, I have to say I was quite underwhelmed by the reveal at the end。 Infact, I remember when i was reading I kept hoping that there was going to be an even BIGGER plot twist at the end because I couldn't help feeling unsatisfied by the reveal。 I thought it was a little predictable and went with the safe route。 Nontheless, it's a good book and worth the read。 。。。more

If anybody wants me to recommend them some books, I will recommend this one。 The whole story follows 4 high schoolers from their perspectives on who murdered one of their infamous classmates。 I read it in only a few sittings and was on the edge of my seat the whole time。 It is not a hard book to get through, it is easy and interesting。

And Simon with his obsession with school shooting was honestly difficult to digest。 Like the bio says this gives off pretty little liars + breakfast club vibes but I’d also add 13 reasons why on it。 I’m glad the story ends with a happy ending for all the main characters and an unexpected strong bonds between them。But honestly with this type of writing with multiple narratives if the writer actually pulled off one of the 4 kids being the murderer and hinting it in their narratives and slowly revealing it would be an incredible plot。 And that’s what I was hoping it would surprise me with。 But this book was perfect with its own plot and I’m satisfied with the way it ended。 。。。more

I liked the book overall with all the twist and turns it takes you on my only real criticism is two of the characters (Nate and Bronwyn) seem to take center stage over the other 2 characters (Addy and cooper) and while I dont think Addy's story had as much compared to the others, Coopers definitely had more story to flesh out fully。 But other than that It was a quick read and nicely paced。 I liked the book overall with all the twist and turns it takes you on my only real criticism is two of the characters (Nate and Bronwyn) seem to take center stage over the other 2 characters (Addy and cooper) and while I dont think Addy's story had as much compared to the others, Coopers definitely had more story to flesh out fully。 But other than that It was a quick read and nicely paced。 。。。more

I really enjoyed this book。 While I may have guessed the answer earlier than I would have liked, I was never sure and didn't see the resolution and details coming。 I loved the shift between perspectives。 It was really well done。+Perspectives felt so unique。 While the characters might have fit into molds somewhat, there were always a few things that made them different than a stereotype。 +The character development was great。 Seeing the changes in some of them was awesome。+I love a little bit of r I really enjoyed this book。 While I may have guessed the answer earlier than I would have liked, I was never sure and didn't see the resolution and details coming。 I loved the shift between perspectives。 It was really well done。+Perspectives felt so unique。 While the characters might have fit into molds somewhat, there were always a few things that made them different than a stereotype。 +The character development was great。 Seeing the changes in some of them was awesome。+I love a little bit of romantic tension。+A lot of "I didn't see that coming" moments。+I enjoyed the inclusion of the paparazzi because EVERYTHING is sensationalized now。-I kind of guessed the overall solution early。 。。。more

I really liked and enjoyed this book。 It's not the most relatable book but how it is written you get to form strong connections with the characters。 It plays with your emotions and made me want to keep reading until the end。 I really liked and enjoyed this book。 It's not the most relatable book but how it is written you get to form strong connections with the characters。 It plays with your emotions and made me want to keep reading until the end。 。。。more

I guessed the killer from the description and had it confirmed within the first 10 pages。 It was so freaking obvious。 I remember reading the description of the book when someone recommended it to me and thinking I bet its going to be (insert name of the killer) when reading it and being somewhat annoyed at the idea it would be this person and not the other characters who it is hinted at being。 I probably shouldn't have picked up this book but since so many people recommended it to me and told me I guessed the killer from the description and had it confirmed within the first 10 pages。 It was so freaking obvious。 I remember reading the description of the book when someone recommended it to me and thinking I bet its going to be (insert name of the killer) when reading it and being somewhat annoyed at the idea it would be this person and not the other characters who it is hinted at being。 I probably shouldn't have picked up this book but since so many people recommended it to me and told me it was very twisty and had a fun plot I did。 It was the exact opposite of that。 None of the twists felt earned even when I wasn't able to figure them out (which was only like 2 of them)。 I really didn't enjoy the romance in this book either I found it very dry and like it had been done before。 Also most of the characters were being stupid 99% of the time。 I understand that it's a book about teenagers and that everyone makes mistakes but this book was just way to much of it。 My final thing is that Addy's character growth might be the most unnatural and forced thing I have ever seen in a book。 It did not feel in any way earned she literally just decided to change herself entirely and although big life changes will sometimes cause that it was just way way way to fast and I couldn't stand her。 Overall, I wouldn't recommend this to anyone who actually enjoys a good mystery。 。。。more

。。。more

I can see why this book is popular among the YA readers。 I should have seen the end coming before I did。 The bread crumb hints were there for readers who wish to read critically。 A good choice for adult readers looking for a beach read to just a quick simple read。

trigger warnings: mental illness, self-harm, suicide, white supremacy, homophobia, use of slurs, abusive relationship。。。(i'll probably start using tw more often, this book hit hard! i really don't want people having flashbacks or just experiencing reactions to anything that might be harmful like i did while reading this)i genuinely thought this would be a good mystery novel or something, with a good plot and characters and it just ended up being a huge kick in the gut。 i'm just shocked that anyo trigger warnings: mental illness, self-harm, suicide, white supremacy, homophobia, use of slurs, abusive relationship。。。(i'll probably start using tw more often, this book hit hard! i really don't want people having flashbacks or just experiencing reactions to anything that might be harmful like i did while reading this)i genuinely thought this would be a good mystery novel or something, with a good plot and characters and it just ended up being a huge kick in the gut。 i'm just shocked that anyone would willingly write a story this sickening。 i thought throughout the entire book, literally up until the very end that it was going to be mr。 avery, but karen outdid herself, she went above and beyond to really make this a pile of shit。 there's so much to talk about so i'm just going to say everything but it probably won't be in order。 first of all, nate's mom struggles with bipolar disorder and the depiction of her mental illness was so inaccurate to the point where she's vilified for most of the novel。 i kept going though。 there's addy's abusive relationship with jake and honestly i think her character development was the only good thing in the book。 and then the most annoyyying part of the book was goddamn nate and bronwyn all over each other!! like HOW is this progressing the plot in any way??? it was frustrating because i was drawn in by the appeal of a mystery and it ended up being a mess of a romantic relationship with other random subplots。 the part where i was about to just put the book down and leave and just not continue was when cooper was outed。 his sexuality was used as a plot device。 i just。 yeah, i took a break and then i'm like okay i'm buddy reading this so let me just continue it can't get any worse right? but of course, karen had to be on her white girl antics and make it even worse。 i'll give you some background before i delve into how sick this book was。tw: s**c*d*- - - - - - - so at the beginning, this kid simon gives himself an allergic reaction, which we find out at the end of the book。 but the whole reason why the four main characters are there are because they're accused of killing him。 so this dumbass white supremacist simon, takes an active part in participating in discourse online about violence and he thinks school shootings are "boring"。。。subhanAllah, i just。 i really can't。 wow。 anyway, so this idiot plans this entire thing to frame the four kids for his death just so he can be more "original" and "creative"。 i'm not giving him any benefit of the doubt and you cannot convince me to see otherwise。 and honestly, you know who's even more sick than simon? KAREN, WHO WROTE THE GODDAMN BOOK! anyway, steer clear of this author, i know i'm putting her on my "don't read" list (which i'm going to make right now as a shelf!)and no, i'm not sorry i didn't hide this review because of spoilers。 you're better off without this book, trust me。 。。。more

Sigh。。。。I had heard really good things about this book and unfortunately, it just didn't do it for me。 I was really bored throughout and although I liked the characters, I just didn't care。Every 'secret' that came out was meh and I could see the ending coming from the 50% mark。 I was really hoping for a big twist at the end, but the 'reveal' was predictable and the conflict was resolved very easily。Basically my entire feeling around this book is a big MEH。 Sigh。。。。I had heard really good things about this book and unfortunately, it just didn't do it for me。 I was really bored throughout and although I liked the characters, I just didn't care。Every 'secret' that came out was meh and I could see the ending coming from the 50% mark。 I was really hoping for a big twist at the end, but the 'reveal' was predictable and the conflict was resolved very easily。Basically my entire feeling around this book is a big MEH。 。。。more
