Summary

There are some parts of the book were you get a bite bored, however overall it was great。 The ending is awesome but also horrible at the same time。⚡️

I really enjoyed this book, it was fast paced, gripping, and I would recommend it to fans of Harry Potter and the Legend series。

While I welcomed the alternating narrators, there was not much difference in their voices。 And personality-wise, Cameron and Evangaline are just as annoying as Mare。 I did think the plot was slightly better than Glass Sword。 Of course, the annoyance will not stop me from finishing up the series。 lol

I loved mare evolution in the book but it was still pretty long to read but I think the ending is worth it

Now I'm in a king's cage。 But so is he。 My chains are Silent Stone。 His is the crown。 。。。 This book has completely destroyed me。 And the best of everything。 I can see more mare and maven scenes here and it really hurts。 Maven's obsession with mare was unhealthy but I couldn't help him。 He needs therapy and he has no one。 I cried at the end, the book gave me trust issues。 And cal chose the crown over mare was the greatest betrayal mare ever got, she didn't deserve that after everything she's done Now I'm in a king's cage。 But so is he。 My chains are Silent Stone。 His is the crown。 。。。 This book has completely destroyed me。 And the best of everything。 I can see more mare and maven scenes here and it really hurts。 Maven's obsession with mare was unhealthy but I couldn't help him。 He needs therapy and he has no one。 I cried at the end, the book gave me trust issues。 And cal chose the crown over mare was the greatest betrayal mare ever got, she didn't deserve that after everything she's done。 We know mare loved cal before maven but she loved maven at the end。 But maven's betrayal is truly unforgivable。 Though now she had more time with cal but maven's shadow kept haunt her。 The only thing I believe is that Mare and Maven are the right people at the wrong time。 。。。 Monsters are most dangerous when they're afraid。 。。。more

Not the best of the series but still a pretty decent read。 This book was slow going for me until about halfway through。 For a normal book that would be fine but when the sucker is over 500 pages? I’m a reader that tends to “never say die” but wow I almost gave up。 Finally we got to where the story picked up again and things were moving at a decent clip! The first book left me with many expectations, in the second those illusions began to diminish, but in this one I did not feel that anything was happening。 Most of the book takes place in one place and becomes tedious。

I really enjoyed this book。 It has been some time since this series has been on my Goodreads to finish。

Miglior libro della saga finora, non fatevi scoraggiare dai primi due, più si va avanti più la storia migliora。 Mannaggia a te e ai tuoi plot twist finali Victoria。

It took me almost a year to finish reading this - a bit slow-paced, overall。

This one kinda fell flat for me。 The beginning was kinda boring。 It felt like nothing really happened。 The middle was so so was starting to pick up but really a good chunk could be removed and the story wouldn’t hurt from it。 End had a good little twist but it feels like it’s there to draw out the story line longer then probably needs be。 We shall see

it was kinda boring until page 300

Possibly。 I won't rule it out but this one was definitely not my favourite。 。。。more

So。。。 I have never written a review before but I just really felt the need to voice some opinions about Mares character。 In this book she gets annoying。。。 cant lie。 To be blunt, I think she’s an awful girlfriend。 I know she goes through a lot but Cal has literally joined her cause and she’s still so unsupportive of everything he’s going through。 Their relationship feels frustratingly one sided。 Also, whilst I’m here, in book one she wasn’t even that attached to Maven! I just can’t quite understand how she feels her feelings of remorse for what he has become match those that Cal feels。。。 she’s just a bit big headed like calm down sis。Anyways, I’m about to start the fourth book because I want to see how this all goes down and will probably see what other books Aveyard has to offer but Mare better get her sh*t together。 。。。more

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it, click here。 First things first: This book was a lot better then Glass Sword。 The begging hooked me way faster then glass sword。 Okay next。 I cried。 At the end I started to cry。 Granted I cried through out the book but this was the TIP of the iceberg。 Mare: At the end of Glass Sword Mare gives herself to Maven to save her friends and family。 During the time of her imprisonment, she was slowly dyeing。 She could have given up at any moment but she didn't。 There were times were she wished she was dead instead。 First things first: This book was a lot better then Glass Sword。 The begging hooked me way faster then glass sword。 Okay next。 I cried。 At the end I started to cry。 Granted I cried through out the book but this was the TIP of the iceberg。 Mare: At the end of Glass Sword Mare gives herself to Maven to save her friends and family。 During the time of her imprisonment, she was slowly dyeing。 She could have given up at any moment but she didn't。 There were times were she wished she was dead instead。 She kept the painful brand of her neck so she would never forget what a monster Maven was in her eyes。 Cal: Okay, Okay。 I need a seconded to CALM down。 Breathe in, Breathe out。 Here we go。 TURN AROUND AND DON"T LET HER WALK AWAY!!。 That was what I was yelling at my book last night when I finished it。 You tell me you love her and want to be with her but then you CHOOSE a CROWN AND A Title over MARE, the GIRL THAT YOUR LOVE。 Cal better make some better decisions in WAR STORM or I am going to kick his head off for hurting Mare。 And if he doesn't, Mare is a strong independent women who doesn't need a man, she will thrive on her own even without you。 Maven: In glass sword I HATED Maven and anything or what anyone said could not change my opinion and the was He。 Is。 A。 Monster。 But in kings cage there we got to see what Elara did to him。 We learned that she played a big part in what he did but not all of it。 She changed what he remembered and didn't and the way he felt about people and including Mare。 During the end of Mare's imprisonment, Mare had a talk with Maven during the bathroom scene。 Maven said something along the lines of, "I did it so you would stay with me," or something like that。 I wanted to give him a hug。 ME who HATED him wanted to give him a HUG。 I ended up hugging my book。 I feel bad for the way Elara messed with his life but I don't feel bad for him completely because of the decisions he made with and without Elara。 I love that their are other people that can make and control lightning like Mare。 It shows that she isn't alone。 Deep down I wish she only had that power, it would make her more unique。 I've never written a review like this or as long, I hope you like it! 。。。more
