Summary

In the world of Tokyo Ghoul, sometimes the only way to fight monsters is to become one…

The Commission of Counter Ghoul is the only organization fighting the Ghoul menace, and they will use every tool at their disposal to protect humanity from its ultimate predator。 Their newest weapon in this hidden war is an experimental procedure that implants human investigators with a Ghoul’s Kagune, giving them Ghoul powers and abilities。 But both the procedure and the newly formed Qs Squad are untested。 Will they become heroes…or monsters?!

A month has passed since Operation Auction Sweep, and business at the CCG rolls on。 An inter-squad task force has been formed to investigate the Rosenwald family, and the Quinxes are part of the team。 The Rosenwald organization, code-named Rosé, is suspected of being behind a rash of kidnappings in Germany。 This is a huge case for the Qs, and the worst possible time for their mentor to fall apart。 But Haise’s frequent flashbacks have started making him question everything he believes in—even his own identity。

It occurred to me during this volume。 Are masks legal? Sure they are in the real world, but what kind of world where masks are so closely related to ghouls would they be legal? I'd been assuming this whole time that Uta's shop was some kind of underground-black-market deal。 But the events in this volume seem to indicate otherwise。 Why doesn't the CCG just post cameras outside mask stores if they still legally operate? I don't understand!!! It occurred to me during this volume。 Are masks legal? Sure they are in the real world, but what kind of world where masks are so closely related to ghouls would they be legal? Besides the exciting storyline I think this volume had the most beautiful drawings of these series。

This is getting better as I go along。 Some of the characters are very goofy for supposedly being 20 but this is supposed to be more shonen then seinen so yea。That being said, more characters from the original series make a reappearance and the strings tangle even more。 I would like to know where Dr Kato is now, and those twins。。。 The art is as good in this as in the original series, and the action has become much easier to follow as well。

The main focus of vol。 4 is Shu Tsukiyama and how he is still struggling to deal with the loss of Kaneki。 We see him on the verge of despair and spiralling into depression but thanks to Kanae Von Rosewald (an orphan who was taken in by the Tsukiyama family as a servant)。 Their loyalty towards Shu is unwavering and even slightly fanatical at times, and thanks to Shu's "little mouse" (Chie Hori from first series) who informs Kanae that Kane 4。5 starsDefinitely the best volume of the series so far! My god reading Tokyo Ghoul :Re is a pain I wouldn’t wanna inflict even to my worst enemy。 The dialogs are awful especially in the Indonesian translated version。 The plots are all over the place and I couldn’t understand what’s happening most of the time。 There’re like 100 different characters who sometimes look alike。 I really want to drop the series but I already bought the next 4 volumes 😩

Tokyo Ghoul: re Volume 1-16 - 4/5 By Sui Ishida This is a review for the whole series, SPOILERS AHEAD。 I am really glad Tokyo Ghoul: re is a 'thing'。 Tokyo Ghoul was left on such a cliffhanger - leaving you wondering what was going to happen to Kaneki following his fight and subsequent memory loss。 The beginning of this series focuses on Kaneki following his memory loss - where we get to see him leading his own task force, fighting the ghouls and him working on getting his memory back。 I felt th Tokyo Ghoul: re Volume 1-16 - 4/5 By Sui Ishida This is a review for the whole series, SPOILERS AHEAD。 I am really glad Tokyo Ghoul: re is a 'thing'。 Tokyo Ghoul was left on such a cliffhanger - leaving you wondering what was going to happen to Kaneki following his fight and subsequent memory loss。 The beginning of this series focuses on Kaneki following his memory loss - where we get to see him leading his own task force, fighting the ghouls and him working on getting his memory back。 I felt this was a really well written story and completed in such a way that you are able to empathise with Kaneki and his long term goal of bringing peace to all humans and ghouls。 What follows is a beautifully drawn, action packed, exciting story that you didn't want to end。 I almost felt like the last chapter was like end credits for a movie。 I really enjoyed it and found that it was different from so many endings of a series of books。 After 16 volumes you become quite attached to the characters and it was nice to see how their lives went on following the events over the story。 If you are a fan of Tokyo Ghoul, I would definitely recommend you gives this series a read! 。。。more

QS SQUAD SUPREMACY。(view spoiler)[i’m at a weird point in this series where half of me wants Sasaki/Kaneki to remember who he really is so that i won’t spend the entire series feeling sorry for his old friends like Touka and Tsukiyama, but the other half of me doesn’t want ‘‘Sasaki’’ to disappear because i absolutely love him and his relationship with the Qs squad *so* fucking much(also, is it morally okay to feel bad for Tsukiyama? because i do。 poor guy。) (hide spoiler)] QS SQUAD SUPREMACY。(view spoiler)[i’m at a weird point in this series where half of me wants Sasaki/Kaneki to remember who he really is so that i won’t spend the entire series feeling sorry for his old friends like Touka and Tsukiyama, but the other half of me doesn’t want ‘‘Sasaki’’ to disappear because i absolutely love him and his relationship with the Qs squad *so* fucking much(also, is it morally okay to feel bad for Tsukiyama? because i do。 poor guy。) (hide spoiler)] 。。。more

this book was really good even though it was a little wired with all the ghouls eating humans and i actually relay felt a connection because the ghouls see nothing wrong with what there doing and i don't think there wrong either i mean i don't wont to be eating but its not much different from what humans do when we hunt animals just for sport but anyway the story's relay unique and entertaining it has just the right amount of action though i kinda wish we could get some kinda background about th this book was really good even though it was a little wired with all the ghouls eating humans and i actually relay felt a connection because the ghouls see nothing wrong with what there doing and i don't think there wrong either i mean i don't wont to be eating but its not much different from what humans do when we hunt animals just for sport but anyway the story's relay unique and entertaining it has just the right amount of action though i kinda wish we could get some kinda background about the charioteers so i'm hoping for that in the next novel other then that this is a five star book。 。。。more

I'm so excited for all the og characters to start getting involved! I'm also really glad I read the light novels, because of how much Chie Hori is in RE。 I'm ready for Uta to make these masks and Tsukiyama to be his weirdo self again。 It's going to be great。 Now I just want Kaneki back, but I know if that does happen it probably won't happen until the more middle/end of the series。 I'm so excited for all the og characters to start getting involved!
