Summary

These characters and this story stays with you。 You just have to know what happens next and you find yourself holding your breath then cheering when they succeed。

I wasn't quite sure if I will like it, because I didn't like Shadow and Bone, but this is completely different vibe and writing。 I loved it, characters were better developed and much more intriging than S&B。 I wasn't quite sure if I will like it, because I didn't like Shadow and Bone, but this is completely different vibe and writing。 I loved it, characters were better developed and much more intriging than S&B。 。。。more

Lo ameee, aveces sentía lento el libro pero después, BOMM llegas a esa parte donde todo da un vuelvo y no puedes parar de leer。 Ame los personajes son tan grandes para su edad y tienen un crecimiento gigante en el libro。

A real adventure story with new characters in the grishaverse to fall in love with。 A real Ocean's 6 with a plan so wild, but with an ambition noble。 Negotiated with my husband over which one of us would read the next book first, I let him start a couple of days ago。 A real adventure story with new characters in the grishaverse to fall in love with。 A real Ocean's 6 with a plan so wild, but with an ambition noble。 Negotiated with my husband over which one of us would read the next book first, I let him start a couple of days ago。 。。。more

This book was absolutely fabulous。 I’m a sucker for a well paced heist and a band of misfits coupled with found family。 I appreciated every twist and turn as well as just how far this crew was willing to go to get the job done。 The perspective shifts gave great insight to each of the main cast while also being a great way to keep the reader in suspense。 Ketterdam and Fjerda were welcome changes from Ravka and the whole world of the Grishaverse feels a lot bigger now。

Leigh bardugo is a brilliant author。 She has improved so much since writing the shadow and bone trilogy。 The world-building is yet again phenomenal & super intense。 That being said, I know she has & will continue to improve in the future, as she has shown us this since shadow&bone。 The characters here do have a lot more depth than other characters she has written, and they’re all loveable。 I’m unable to choose my favourite characters。 I like them all equally。 They each have their own traumatic p Leigh bardugo is a brilliant author。 She has improved so much since writing the shadow and bone trilogy。 The world-building is yet again phenomenal & super intense。 That being said, I know she has & will continue to improve in the future, as she has shown us this since shadow&bone。 The characters here do have a lot more depth than other characters she has written, and they’re all loveable。 I’m unable to choose my favourite characters。 I like them all equally。 They each have their own traumatic past and it’s heartwarming to see them accept their faults and shoulder each other’s burdens。 Although, if I have to choose, I have a soft spot for inej。 She’s kind, soft, but ruthless when she needs to be, but it’s her faith and trust that amazes me。 And my heart is in love with the kind of love between Nina & Matthias。The ending made me excited to read the next book because slow burn Kaz has got me interested :)I actually low-key wanna reread it again 。。。more

A similar setting or similar plot points? I was somewhat disappointed to learn that there are almost no connections between the two stories except a few scattered names here and there just for the sake of it being in the same universe。 More than that, I went into Six of Crows with so high expectations that somewhere through the first quarter of the books I began to wonder if I'm reading the correct book。 It was dragging, full of fillers with no plot going anywhere。 And I felt scared that the end will be so abrupt and packed with action that I'll have no moment to take a breather and digest what was going on。 And exactly that happened。 I wanted so, so badly to LOVE this book but it just didn't live up to my expectations。 It's my fault, though。 I saw all the reviews raving about this book, saw such high ratings and though that this will surely be my new favorite book。 It's far from me not enjoying this book, but it's just not the crazy, over the top, amazing book I imagined it to be all this time。It's a solid story with nice twists。 All of the six main characters feel fleshed out enough and I particularly enjoyed the passages in which more and more of their shared histories would be reviled。 I missed the fantastic elements。 Even though the story is in the same universe as the Grishaverse, it felt like it was lacking all the unfolding and mysteries of Grisha magic。 Maybe I just got so used to the Sun Summoner and the Darkling? Who knows? I'd definitely sort this book as a thriller and adventure first, and lastly as a fantasy。 What is so beyond me are the romance and the LGBT tag。 How? Just how? A bit infuriating to try selling it as such and definitely the reason why I expected more from this book but ultimately didn't get what I was looking for。 。。。more

it was slow and confusing at the beginning but it was good and i enjoyed it and stuff but, it’s so overhyped, like from what ppl have said and all the reviews i expected way better, still a good book tho。

I loved this book (honestly more than S&B)。 All 6 crows were likable and I don't have any favorites。 We get great backstory for most of them and the heists are intense and action packed。 I really enjoyed being back into the world or Grishaverse, however most of these characters are just "normal" 17 year olds trying to make it in a gritty, dark world。 I love how much sass and banter is also throughout the book and I can't wait to read the sequel "Crooked Kingdom"。 Also, slow burn relationships ar I loved this book (honestly more than S&B)。 All 6 crows were likable and I don't have any favorites。 We get great backstory for most of them and the heists are intense and action packed。 I really enjoyed being back into the world or Grishaverse, however most of these characters are just "normal" 17 year olds trying to make it in a gritty, dark world。 I love how much sass and banter is also throughout the book and I can't wait to read the sequel "Crooked Kingdom"。 Also, slow burn relationships are the worst, yet also the best。 If you like Fantasy books, I highly recommend。 However, to get a better understanding of the Grishaverse you should read the Shadow & Bone trilogy because the world and the "magic" isn't explained in this story。 Also, Six of Crows supposedly takes place 2 years after the last S&B book。 。。。more

Good adventureThis took absolutely forever for me to get into。 I almost DNF’d it several times, but finally - FINALLY - the actual story started and I got through it。 Definitely didn’t like this one as much as I liked the original Grisha Trilogy, but。。。I’m not a quitter, so on to Crooked Kingdom next。

4。6**I can't decide if I'm giving this five stars because I simply simp for Kaz。 I usually am not a fan of more than two POVs, but in this case, all the characters in Six of Crows were so rich and had great development throughout the book。 The author crafted such unique and interesting characters, each with their own story and background - literally the most imperfect, yet, perfect crew to exist。 I cannot wait to get my hands on the second book! 。。。more
