Summary

A funny first book of manners, in rollicking rhyme!

When Wanda Warthog comes over, beware!
She leaves a trail everywhere。
There’s ink on the sofa, gum on the cat,
Modeling clay ground into the mat。

This collection of short, snappy poems about grabby gorillas, wild cats, sloppy pigs, sharing bears, and thoughtful elephants will have kids in stitches as they’re reminded how—and how not—to behave!

The Please and Thank You Book is one of the Little Golden Books, which I must admit I have always been biased towards。 This book displays both positive and negative behaviors as displayed in wonderful colors。 The book shows all sorts of animals like cats, giraffes, oxen, and more being polite and knocking on a door before entering, always at least trying the food offered, and looking before crossing the street。 It also portrays negative behaviors like being messy or loud or rude。 I think this bo The Please and Thank You Book is one of the Little Golden Books, which I must admit I have always been biased towards。 This book displays both positive and negative behaviors as displayed in wonderful colors。 The book shows all sorts of animals like cats, giraffes, oxen, and more being polite and knocking on a door before entering, always at least trying the food offered, and looking before crossing the street。 It also portrays negative behaviors like being messy or loud or rude。 I think this book is a wonderful way to open the conversation surrounding manners with young children。 Since the book uses animals and not people it is easier to separate oneself from the behavior and look at it objectively。 For young children and students we can go through the book and have the kids be actively engaged by saying whether they think the behavior described on each page is good or bad。 Each page uses brightly colored illustrations and fun rhyme schemes to promote behaving well。 I absolutely think this book belongs in any home or classroom。 。。。more

Full of small rhymed stories about good behavior and bad exhibited by colorful animals in a little town。 The illustrations are lovely and the words count is small and easy for new readers。
