But what will the world do without Sherlock Holmes？I thought this short story collection was fantastic， especially in the overall world and legacy of Holmes and Watson。 Some very interesting cases， and even more curious is how the Adventure of the Cardboard Box is not included in some editions， and that it was taken out of publication to it's more grotesque nature， that the entire introduction is used in a different short story。 I thought I was going crazy reading the same thing again， in a comp But what will the world do without Sherlock Holmes？I thought this short story collection was fantastic， especially in the overall world and legacy of Holmes and Watson。 Some very interesting cases， and even more curious is how the Adventure of the Cardboard Box is not included in some editions， and that it was taken out of publication to it's more grotesque nature， that the entire introduction is used in a different short story。 I thought I was going crazy reading the same thing again， in a completely different chapter and story， but it didn't have much baring on the separate cases， so I was able to move past it quickly。Then we get introduced to Sherlock's brother， Mycroft， who had not been mentioned until now， and finally， FINALLY， with the last story， we see the Holmes rival in Moriarty。 We also see more of Lestrade， which I was glad about since we have seen a revolving door of various policemen so far， so its nice to have some recurring characters。 But I was surprised how we didn't come across Mycroft， Moriarty， or any other similarly recurring characters， but I guess that's why the stories stay interesting， because they are all brand-new。 I do hope we will see more of those mentioned above in future installments。 If there are any！ （Spoiler alert - there are）。 I really enjoyed Watson putting all he had observed from Sherlock to the test in the final story， and it is fitting that Holmes would essentially vanish， leaving his own little mystery behind。Really fun stuff， and all of these stories are easy to read， and great because you can read a whole one in one sitting。 。。。more
