Such a fun little book。 My 2yo likes to say the “beep， beep， beep” parts along with the friendly little blue truck， and after several reads she informed me “big dump truck is not kind” because it pushes the little blue truck out of the way！ Points to the author for conveying that message in such an easily relatable way for this age group。 The illustrations and rhymes make for a great all-around read too。

I tend to avoid books about machines as I enjoy nature books so much more， but I took the chance on Little Blue Truck after reading endless glowing reviews。They’re all justified。 It’s so much fun to read aloud， and it’s a nice moral on the value of being friendly。It’s just an added bonus that the plot roughly mirrors Corb Lund’s Truck Got Stuck！
