Summary

Möbius， ein umworbener weil genialer Physiker， will eine gefährliche Verstrickung von Wissenschaft und Politik verhindern und täuscht darum vor， geisteskrank zu sein， damit er in einer Klinik verschwinden und die gewünschte Kooperation （oder Kollaboration） mit der Macht boykottieren kann。 Aber der geschützte Raum ist nicht dicht: Zwei Grossmächte haben Agenten in die Klinik eingeschleust， auch diese täuschen Krankheiten vor。 Der Fluchtort ist zur Falle geworden。

Ich hatte etwas anderes erwartet。 Dürrenmatt findet zwar eine gute Balance zwischen Komik und Dramatik， auch die Grundfrage nach der Verantwortung der Wissenschaft halte ich für wichtig und besonders auch in der Art gut erarbeitet， aber der Funke konnte nicht so richtig überspringen。 Ich glaube， als Inszenierung hätte es mich deutlich mehr begeistern können。 In der Form war es für mich teilweise leider zu platt。

It was between 1985 and 1986 in school when I was reading this book。 Also we had seen a film Blach&White about the Physics talking over their live and everything。I do not remember all of it。 Only that it was one of his better works。 In my opinion。 But Dürenmatt was always hard to read。 He is a "classic"。 One of Germans masterpieces。 School kids had to read it。 To learn what was Germany。 It was between 1985 and 1986 in school when I was reading this book。 Also we had seen a film Blach&White about the Physics talking over their live and everything。I do not remember all of it。 Only that it was one of his better works。 In my opinion。 But Dürenmatt was always hard to read。 He is a "classic"。 One of Germans masterpieces。 School kids had to read it。 To learn what was Germany。 。。。more

Es hat eine richtige Überraschung， die ich nicht absehen könnte。 Natürlich sehr philosophisch， aber ich könnte keine definitive Lehre davon nehmen。 Vielleicht， dass man das Risiko eingehen muss， zu denken， denn man nie alle Leute von seiner Gedanken schützen kann。

I don’t often find German literature interesting but this was。。。 weirdly entertaining。 Loved the twist at the end and just the overall struggle between doing the right thing and achieving world domination。 The real geniuses are the people that take responsibility for their work and would chose world peace over their own happiness and success。 It takes guts and willpower to do this and this showed just how sane Möbius was。
