Summary

A manga series that packs quite the punch！

Nothing about Saitama passes the eyeball test when it comes to superheroes， from his lifeless expression to his bald head to his unimpressive physique。 However， this average-looking guy has a not-so-average problem—he just can’t seem to find an opponent strong enough to take on！ Every time a promising villain appears， he beats the snot out of ’em with one punch！ Can Saitama finally find an opponent who can go toe-to-toe with him and give his life some meaning？ Or is he doomed to a life of superpowered boredom？

If someone told me the manga had flashbacks to Saitama’s childhood that aren’t in the anime， I would have read it a lot sooner。 I just got the first 8 volumes and I’m exited to read them all。

If you’ve watched the show， you’ll know exactly what you’re getting。 A very fast-paced and at times hilarious read。 If it weren’t for its wit， this probably wouldn’t be anywhere near as good。 Perhaps the author does a better job later， but this first book lacks much of a coherent plot。 It is largely made up of random episodes， with some semblance of plot coming with the arrival of Geno。 A lot of fun。

I just finished season 2 of One-Punch Man， so to get my fix I started the manga。 Not surprising， the animated series closely matches the source material， give or take a few scenes。
