Summary

The differences between Yamato and Kakeru couldn't be more obvious。 Yamato gets good grades, while Kakeru's are less than average。 And while Yamato is very attractive, Kakeru's looks are perfectly average。 Not a problem-unless you're in love with your childhood best friend。。。How in the world can Kakeru make Yamato look at him when Yamato is completely out of his league?!

I picked up this manga because the cover is beautiful to me。 Little did I know I’d love it so much。 Kakeru and Yamato may be complete opposites but they are so compatible in ways as well。 They are both so oblivious but I hope and cannot wait for their feelings to reach one another ♡

I fell in love with this book the second I opened it, I found the delivery of Kakeru's pov in this one very interesting when comparing it to the synopsis, catching my attention; I ended up staying because of the unpredictability of where their feelings might go。 The pace is definitely kind of mellow but I liked that aspect too。 I fell in love with this book the second I opened it, I found the delivery of Kakeru's pov in this one very interesting when comparing it to the synopsis, catching my attention; I ended up staying because of the unpredictability of where their feelings might go。 The pace is definitely kind of mellow but I liked that aspect too。 。。。more

Thoroughly charming BL set in high school, suitable for early to mid teens。 It’s not complex (angsty?) for older teens。 Yamato is a tall, handsome upperclassman who is painfully shy and withdrawn - except with his childhood friend, Kakeru, who has uke written all over him - extroverted, friendly, and will do anything to ensure his friend’s happiness。 I didn't expect to like this as much as I did, so I ordered vol。 2, which is out in June。 Thoroughly charming BL set in high school, suitable for early to mid teens。 It’s not complex (angsty?) for older teens。 Yamato is a tall, handsome upperclassman who is painfully shy and withdrawn - except with his childhood friend, Kakeru, who has uke written all over him - extroverted, friendly, and will do anything to ensure his friend’s happiness。 I didn't expect to like this as much as I did, so I ordered vol。 2, which is out in June。 。。。more

2021 Read #64For me, I think the thing that really saved this volume from being completely generic and boring for a BL title was Yamato’s characterization。 You really get the sense that he is pretty introverted and easily embarrassed, and the way he reacts to Kakeru’s obliviousness is funny on one hand but a bit sad on the other hand。 Yamato’s just a really easy character to root for, and he’s the reason I’ll be coming back for more。 Ganbatte, Yamato-kun!!

I really really liked this! It was so freaking cute!! My HEART。 They're both so oblivious and I love it。 I can't wait to get my hands on the second volume。 I'm really looking forward to seeing their relationship develop。 I really really liked this! This was super cute! The love interest was in denial for the most part and the book ends on a cliffhanger though。。 so now I am in pain because I don’t think volume two is out yet。

So sweet。 Reminded me so much of Hidamari ga Kikoeru。
