Loved it。 Very interesting read and great way to get a glimpse on the history of psychology, different theories and research。 If you're interested in learning more about the human mind and psychology as a whole - this book is a great way to begin your journey。 I read the e-book version of this last year and will probably be purchasing a physical copy soon and re-reading it in the future。 Loved it。 Very interesting read and great way to get a glimpse on the history of psychology, different theories and research。 If you're interested in learning more about the human mind and psychology as a whole - this book is a great way to begin your journey。 I read the e-book version of this last year and will probably be purchasing a physical copy soon and re-reading it in the future。 。。。more

A simple reading of psychologyI took a psychology class in college but I don't remember much about it。 This was a high school reading level in concepts and discussed new theories that I wasn't aware of in my one and only college class。 A simple reading of psychologyI took a psychology class in college but I don't remember much about it。 This was a high school reading level in concepts and discussed new theories that I wasn't aware of in my one and only college class。 。。。more

This is a step back in time a la time machine journey。 Yes there is a continuum effect as it goes chronologically; I skipped back and forth a bit to see topics I knew less about。 Plus, the text is infused with color and imagery - easy on the eyes。 I had a blast with this。

Pretty surface level knowledge, is great for general descriptions but doesn't go at all into depth。 Also kind of outdated and not very focused on modern research developments。 Pretty surface level knowledge, is great for general descriptions but doesn't go at all into depth。 Also kind of outdated and not very focused on modern research developments。 。。。more

Great summary It’s almost an impossible task to sum up the history of psychology and yet they did an excellent work。 I cannot imagine how they managed to structure it but thanks to that I was able to learn a lot of great topics and about great professionals along history。 I think this is a great start into the world of psychology。 After all, there are a lot of references to continue reading。

I decided to read this as an insight into the subject before I start A-Level psychology in September and I highly recommend as it gives a broad range on knowledge whilst also being concise。

A succinct account of the major themes of psychology。 Well written and summarised, this book makes use of diagrams and images to clearly explain content。 Any students interested in psychology or people in general should read this to gain an insight into the major discoveries from the discipline over the past several decades。
