This was the first Hello, World! book that we picked up, we were cruising Target one day and thought we needed a new book for babe to check out。 This was a hit and we really enjoyed reading it too。 The cutout paper/watercolors are visually nice and the interesting ocean facts were fun。 We've had a lot of fun making animal noises and when we get to the crab and lobster page we go "pinch! pinch!" and babe laughs and giggles, so A+ book。 Which also spurred us to buy a heck ton more Hello, World! bo This was the first Hello, World! book that we picked up, we were cruising Target one day and thought we needed a new book for babe to check out。 This was a hit and we really enjoyed reading it too。 The cutout paper/watercolors are visually nice and the interesting ocean facts were fun。 We've had a lot of fun making animal noises and when we get to the crab and lobster page we go "pinch! pinch!" and babe laughs and giggles, so A+ book。 Which also spurred us to buy a heck ton more Hello, World! books! 。。。more

Beautifully organized and written, this simple guide to life underwater thoughtfully informs the youngest readers about animals and some of the details which make them unique。 gills and phosphorescence and shark teeth。。。for babies! Great formatting makes it rereadable and instantly digestible。

The illustrations in this book is perfect for introducing the ocean to Cassie and a few of her friends。 I loved how colorful the pictures were and how it kept her attention。 Of course she sang the famous baby shark song when she saw a dolphin。 The words in this book are short and perfect for the toddlers and babies。 I love this book and can't wait to read other books in the series。 The illustrations in this book is perfect for introducing the ocean to Cassie and a few of her friends。 I loved how colorful the pictures were and how it kept her attention。 Of course she sang the famous baby shark song when she saw a dolphin。 The words in this book are short and perfect for the toddlers and babies。 I love this book and can't wait to read other books in the series。 。。。more

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it, click here。 A short but informative board book on some ocean creatures。 The illustrations are imaginative and it was combined with interesting information。 I learned something new from reading this such as octopus have blue blood and some jellyfish can glow in the dark。

Miss Sarah

A little too informational for a baby。 I read it to my 7-month-old and he thought it was better to eat than to read。。。but I enjoyed the bright pictures of ocean animals。We re-read now that he's 18-months-old。 It went over a bit better the second time。 He has another Ocean board book at home that has actual pictures of animals in it that we have read almost nightly the last 6+ months, so he's become familiar with the names of the sea creatures which helps。 A little too informational for a baby。 I read it to my 7-month-old and he thought it was better to eat than to read。。。but I enjoyed the bright pictures of ocean animals。We re-read now that he's 18-months-old。 It went over a bit better the second time。 He has another Ocean board book at home that has actual pictures of animals in it that we have read almost nightly the last 6+ months, so he's become familiar with the names of the sea creatures which helps。 。。。more

This is a counting board book, and it has all the elements that make a board book fantastic! It counts up and back from 10, there are little tidbits of information to add to the simple text, and the illustrations are bright。

Sherry

Delightful and colorful board book! Great for children 15 months through Kindergarten。 The text is comprised largely of non-fiction facts, yet it flows as naturally as a fiction book。

Better balance of info fir toddlers than How Doe Apples Grow, in the same series。 This seems more aimed at toddlers and so it is a better match for the board book format。
