Summary

I read all of these books because my kids made me。 But, I loved every minute of them, and the movies were just as good。 She is a brilliant writer

This series is definitely worth a lot more than 5 stars。 If I could I would give it 100 stars, but。。。 since I can’t do that o give it a 5 out of 5! I think everyone should read this series at least once in their life。 You have a whole life to do what you’d like and try new things, and one of those things you should be doing is reading these books。 When you read the first book you’ll think to yourself “ wow。 😳 that was amazing! I think everyone should read this series at least once in their life。 You have a whole life to do what you’d like and try new things, and one of those things you should be doing is reading these books。 When you read the first book you’ll think to yourself “ wow。 😳 that was amazing! Let’s get the second one! “。 After that, it is pretty obvious that you will find yourself staying up till midnight binge reading the next few books after realizing how intriguingly amazing the first and second books are。 Oh but it doesn’t stop there。 You’ll find yourself reading on and on, farther into the series。 It it is almost like you are actually with the characters and IN the book。 I love so many books but I felt like I was actually sucked into the world of Hogwarts when I read these books。 When each book ended it was just like a little intermission before you went and grabbed the next one。 I was and STILL am DEVASTATED when the last book ended。 😢 THEY ONLY GET BETTER!!! I know some people stop at the 5th book because it is the longest and (to me) the most complex of the series。 But once you trudge through that, you’ll find yourself (again)squeezing every last drop of your precious time so that you can keep reading。 I watched the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd movie before deciding to read the series。。。 and to be honest I don’t totally regret it。。。 it really helped later on for me to picture the characters and what they looked like。 I know it is is good to imagine the characters the way you think they would be but I think they did a PERFECT job on choosing the actors for the movies。 I think this at least for Harry, Hermione, and Ron。 I think that (at least the first few) are easy enough for a 5th grader and some 4th graders。 I think anyone over sixth grade are definitely capable of reading the books。 SO, I think that everyone should read this series or at least some of it (that would be extremely hard to stop reading the books though) EVEN if your having someone else read it for you or if you are listening to it as an Audio book。 Clap clap clap for J。K Rowling! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 😆😆😆 。。。more

Despite everything why Harry Potter books are overrated, reading it from age 6 to 13 (finished every book before seeing the movie, unpatiently waiting for each release of Harry Potter books every year), it was really wonderful experience。 I remember how I read it sometimes almost 24 hours to see what will happened next。 I enjoyed Rowling´s world, adventure and friendship between the main characters。 Maybe I was lucky I read it right after it was published and I didn´t care about marketing and ex Despite everything why Harry Potter books are overrated, reading it from age 6 to 13 (finished every book before seeing the movie, unpatiently waiting for each release of Harry Potter books every year), it was really wonderful experience。 I remember how I read it sometimes almost 24 hours to see what will happened next。 I enjoyed Rowling´s world, adventure and friendship between the main characters。 Maybe I was lucky I read it right after it was published and I didn´t care about marketing and exaggeration around it that time。 I enjoyed it :-) 。。。more

I doubt there's anything I can say about the Harry Potter series that hasn't already been said。 It was a pivotal in my teen years, and I have a great amount of love for it。 I believe it was a huge influence to most YA novelists after it, myself included。 I will forever be a fan of the series。 I doubt there's anything I can say about the Harry Potter series that hasn't already been said。 It was a pivotal in my teen years, and I have a great amount of love for it。 I believe it was a huge influence to most YA novelists after it, myself included。 I will forever be a fan of the series。 。。。more

I highly recommend this series。 I also recommend the audiobooks read by Jim Dale who incidentally is an amazing voice actor who did such a stellar job with the serious he won awards。 I didn’t want to leave a review on every book。 It is really just one massive story anyway。

Favourite series of-all-time。 I prefer tovread the books than watch the movies。

Summarizing my feelings for the HP books: nigh impossible。 The architect of a magical, transcendental journey and a massive part of our collective childhoods, JK Rowling engineered an entire generation of kids to become book addicts。 I didn’t own a HP book till book 6 (borrowing 1-5 from my friends) and it was a dream to own the boxed set (a birthday gift from my closest friends well into my 20s)。 The first book was recommended to me by my brother, who in turn was lent the book from the kid he w Summarizing my feelings for the HP books: nigh impossible。 The architect of a magical, transcendental journey and a massive part of our collective childhoods, JK Rowling engineered an entire generation of kids to become book addicts。 I didn’t own a HP book till book 6 (borrowing 1-5 from my friends) and it was a dream to own the boxed set (a birthday gift from my closest friends well into my 20s)。 The first book was recommended to me by my brother, who in turn was lent the book from the kid he was tutoring at the time。 My brother’s exact words were “read this。 NOW。 And thank me later”。 And I’ve been hooked ever since。HP has been a wonderful, emotional, deftly crafted, goosebump inducing, exciting, nurturing, kind and inclusive safe space and a platform that I’ve connected over with friends from all over the world。 This fandom is absolutely the best and I’m forever grateful to have been a part of it。 There are multiple pods out there dissecting this world, but the best one, IMO is BINGE MODE HP。 If you’re a HP fan to any degree , I very highly recommend it。 It’ll make you laugh, cry, swell with joy and feel that lasting power of friendship with these beautiful characters for a very long time。 TOUGH LOOK WON WON 😁 。。。more

No this did not make it to the list because it overshadowed the much better warrior cats series that was coming out around the same time, and because I desperately wished my childhood was one filled with furries vying for political supremacy and control over natural resources, instead of snot-nosed-brats running around with broom sticks waving a wooden phallus at me screaming incantations and expecting me to drop dead。 This series made it onto the list because I was so excited to read a flippin No this did not make it to the list because it overshadowed the much better warrior cats series that was coming out around the same time, and because I desperately wished my childhood was one filled with furries vying for political supremacy and control over natural resources, instead of snot-nosed-brats running around with broom sticks waving a wooden phallus at me screaming incantations and expecting me to drop dead。 This series made it onto the list because I was so excited to read a flippin 7 book epic on a ceramicist who struggles with body image。 Maybe I allow too many of my interests to be influenced by “Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo,” but hey, I do, and I’m tired of pretending to be ashamed about it。 For real though, wouldn’t you have rather read a story of a hairy beast learning to love themselves and realize the very thing that alienated them from society, gave them the ability to throw the most beautiful pieces of pottery anyone had ever seen? And then society has to take a good hard look at their own reflection and re-envision what they thought of as ugly as beautiful, and beautiful as ugly? I love the Harry Potter series! I firs discovered them about the time the third or fourth book came out。 I read them as they came out, got other adults to read them as well, but then life interfered and I never got to finish them。 It took a while but I finally found a full set I could afford and IMMEDIATELY ordered them!

These books remain popular, clearly because of the magical world and all of its mysteries。 It should have been more inclusive of certain communities but story-wise it did not disappoint in the slightest。
