This book is such a beautiful masterpiece。 I love how I can connect with the author! This book gave me the strength to accept myself for who I am。 Thank you, Rupi!

I think poetry so one of the things that speaks to some people and doesn’t to others。 I’m glad I bought it, I’m glad I read it because it was highly recommended。 Some parts spoke to me more than others。 It was a nice, short read, and I really enjoyed the themes presented。 Some of the illustrations and poems are a little graphic。

A raw and poignant collection of poems that are organized under major themes like "the healing" and "the breaking。" Kaur uses her illustrations to mimic and reinforce major themes while also becoming a part of the poem。 Some of my favorite poems deal with women's empowerment and collective sisterhood。 A raw and poignant collection of poems that are organized under major themes like "the healing" and "the breaking。" Kaur uses her illustrations to mimic and reinforce major themes while also becoming a part of the poem。 Some of my favorite poems deal with women's empowerment and collective sisterhood。 。。。more

This book was indeed beautiful and took me on a journey not to far from either where I was headed or where I had gone。 But to say it’s poetry seems kind of misplaced。 This felt like a mixture of diary entries, Tumblr post, Instagram post and like the slightest dash of poetry。 Admittedly this would be considered my first real brush at something considered poetry and it won’t be my last because I see the potential in the genre。 I also still enjoy Rupi Kaur’s stories and writing enough to read more This book was indeed beautiful and took me on a journey not to far from either where I was headed or where I had gone。 But to say it’s poetry seems kind of misplaced。 This felt like a mixture of diary entries, Tumblr post, Instagram post and like the slightest dash of poetry。 Admittedly this would be considered my first real brush at something considered poetry and it won’t be my last because I see the potential in the genre。 I also still enjoy Rupi Kaur’s stories and writing enough to read more from her although I don’t know what to classify this book。 I am on to The Sun and Her Flowers next ! 。。。more

this kind of poetry is really not for me, i don't understand the necessity of write verses with only two words, seems to be more like thoughts than poetry。 but i think that rupi kaur has talent and that she has a lot of things to say。 this kind of poetry is really not for me, i don't understand the necessity of write verses with only two words, seems to be more like thoughts than poetry。 but i think that rupi kaur has talent and that she has a lot of things to say。 。。。more

Leaving this without a star rating for now, but I enjoyed this collection more than some other ones I've read recently。 Still, after a couple of weeks time I can hardly recall any of the poems so it wasn't something that stuck to me。 I shall continue my search for a poetry collection that will stick with me。。。 Leaving this without a star rating for now, but I enjoyed this collection more than some other ones I've read recently。 Still, after a couple of weeks time I can hardly recall any of the poems so it wasn't something that stuck to me。 I shall continue my search for a poetry collection that will stick with me。。。 。。。more

Breaking down sentences to make it look like poetry does not make it poetry。

Pretty good read Here’s two poems that stood out。 “you cannot leaveand have me tooi cannot exist intwo places at once- when you ask if we can still be friends”“we all move forward whenwe recognize how resilientand striking the womenaround us are”A few of of the poems from The healing read even read as Alejandro Jodorowsky poems。 People are quick to dismiss this book because of the format but, taken as a whole, as is, a four-part poem, it’s pretty solid。

I read this book in high school and just re-read it recently and I love the meanings this book has and the truths it holds。 This is a very easy read and I encourage girls to read this poetry book!

Muito leve em termos de leitura, reflexões super válidas e profundas。 Uma verdadeira obra de arte。

This is definitely not a book for everyone。 It has some heavy topics within the pages。For those who have experience a lot in life, I recommend this。

I used to read a lot of poetry when I were in middle school it was the genre that made me full in love with reading in the first place but after that my reading taste changed。 Therefore, when I saw that this collection was popular and has only one hour on audio I wanted to try it。 I don’t know how to feel about it, it’s definitely not the type of poetry that I got use to read, it felt more of nice sentences put together。 The topics were difficult to process yet interesting but I wanted more of i I used to read a lot of poetry when I were in middle school it was the genre that made me full in love with reading in the first place but after that my reading taste changed。 Therefore, when I saw that this collection was popular and has only one hour on audio I wanted to try it。 I don’t know how to feel about it, it’s definitely not the type of poetry that I got use to read, it felt more of nice sentences put together。 The topics were difficult to process yet interesting but I wanted more of it; so I were a little bit disappointed。 Nonetheless, I do not regret reading it because it gave me the courage to get back to poetry。 。。。more

One of my favorites — a quick read, but powerful themes of inner femininity and seeing the sun while it’s still raining。 Beautiful wording!

It's an anthology of poems and anecdotes where the poetess explores the realms of exploitation, gratification, forebearance , love, longing and meanness •From sexual misconduct to sexual exploration, from the perceived beauty to inner soul brilliance ,This collection will touch your soul•If not extraordinary, it is a good read to spark your creativity It's an anthology of poems and anecdotes where the poetess explores the realms of exploitation, gratification, forebearance , love, longing and meanness •From sexual misconduct to sexual exploration, from the perceived beauty to inner soul brilliance ,This collection will touch your soul•If not extraordinary, it is a good read to spark your creativity 。。。more
