The children in the class love this book。 They like opening the flaps and finding out more about their body。 They like to identify the pictures and then find the part on their body!

In See Inside Your Body , Katie Daynes introduces young readers how things work inside the body。 The book unpacks topics such as (1) eating and excreting, (2) breathing air, (3) pumping blood, (4) bones and muscles, (5) brain power, (6) the senses and (7) drinking and seeing。 The book includes lift-the-flaps and detailed illustrations of the inner body with captions to help readers understand what's happening as their body performs different functions。 I loved this book more than I thought it w In See Inside Your Body , Katie Daynes introduces young readers how things work inside the body。 The book unpacks topics such as (1) eating and excreting, (2) breathing air, (3) pumping blood, (4) bones and muscles, (5) brain power, (6) the senses and (7) drinking and seeing。 The book includes lift-the-flaps and detailed illustrations of the inner body with captions to help readers understand what's happening as their body performs different functions。 I loved this book more than I thought it would。 It is a great resource to teach little ones biology (there was lots in here that I didn't even know)。 I found the illustrations and engaging components to be interactive and engaging。On the page about eating and discerning, however, I found it problematic and off-putting that the author chose to write "Junkfood contains too much sugar and fat" alongside the illustration of a visibly overweight child eating。 。。。more

I bought this for my 3-year-9-month-old who keeps getting out our human anatomy book because she loves "bones" (maybe I have a budding forensic anthropologist in the house?)。 Anyway, I thought this would be much more age-appropriate and it is superb。 Lots of information in this book, with colourful illustrations and fun tabs with even more cool facts to learn。 This gets a 5 star because I learned a fair bit as well。 I bought this for my 3-year-9-month-old who keeps getting out our human anatomy book because she loves "bones" (maybe I have a budding forensic anthropologist in the house?)。 Anyway, I thought this would be much more age-appropriate and it is superb。 Lots of information in this book, with colourful illustrations and fun tabs with even more cool facts to learn。 This gets a 5 star because I learned a fair bit as well。 。。。more

This book is useful to introduce children to parts of the human body and how it functions。 It covers topics like digestion and the roles of organs like the heart。The book includes scientific diagrams which are easy for children to understand。 Also, it includes facts which are suitable for Key Stage 2 children as the topics relate to the National Curriculum for Science。I would recommend this book because the scientific information is appropriate for children and will engage them due to the colour This book is useful to introduce children to parts of the human body and how it functions。 It covers topics like digestion and the roles of organs like the heart。The book includes scientific diagrams which are easy for children to understand。 Also, it includes facts which are suitable for Key Stage 2 children as the topics relate to the National Curriculum for Science。I would recommend this book because the scientific information is appropriate for children and will engage them due to the colourful and exciting layout of the pages。 。。。more

Genre: InformationalGrade: Early Primary / PrimaryThis is a creative book that explains the human body in a simple and creative way。 I love all of the flaps on each page that show deeper in the body, and all of the facts on each page。 I love how the book is hands-on with the flaps。 The facts are dispersed all over the pages in smaller phrases that are easy to learn and remember。 You can really discover and learn so many things on each page。 It also shows in certain body systems what is good and Genre: InformationalGrade: Early Primary / PrimaryThis is a creative book that explains the human body in a simple and creative way。 I love all of the flaps on each page that show deeper in the body, and all of the facts on each page。 I love how the book is hands-on with the flaps。 The facts are dispersed all over the pages in smaller phrases that are easy to learn and remember。 You can really discover and learn so many things on each page。 It also shows in certain body systems what is good and bad for it! My 3-year-old absolutely loves this! She doesn't understand much English, so I had to translate into Swedish as I read it to her。 Later, her father did the same thing, but translated it into Italian and I heard her correcting him on how the kidneys work when he tried to simplify it too much。 :-) My 3-year-old absolutely loves this! Children in our school LOVE books about the body, and they especially LOVE books about the body with fold-up flaps to see what's inside。 This is a durable, detailed exploration of how our bodies work, and while there is a lot of detailed text, both K1s and K2s will crowd around this book in the library, pointing out different surprises to their friends and talking at length about what is happening: "It's germs! It's blood! It's eyes!" This book was as good as informative books can get。 It shows a quite detailed description of what the different parts of your body are, yet it is still very easy to comprehend the language usage, and concepts provided。 To help younger readers understand the content, the book is equipped with fun pictures and flaps, to give examples of what certain parts are。 I would recommend this book to anyone who wants to learn more about the body, in a quick, fun book adventure。

See Inside Your Body by Katie Daynes is great kids book about the human body for children to comprehend fairly easy in a cartoon way。 Each page discusses a function in the human body, covering the main parts and really breaking it down for the reader。 What makes this book special are the little side notes on the edges of the pages。 The author uses these side notes to connect the concepts to everyday activities of the body。 This further educates the children about how their body is working and br See Inside Your Body by Katie Daynes is great kids book about the human body for children to comprehend fairly easy in a cartoon way。 Each page discusses a function in the human body, covering the main parts and really breaking it down for the reader。 What makes this book special are the little side notes on the edges of the pages。 The author uses these side notes to connect the concepts to everyday activities of the body。 This further educates the children about how their body is working and breaking down components such as their food。 The illustrations are very colorful in this book which would really have the kids drowning in all the details。 A kid could spend a fair amount of time on this book even though there are only 15 pages。 。。。more

A great first book about the body。 Flaps make it engaging。 Short blocks of text get to the point and share fun facts。 Doesn't gloss over the icky stuff like pee, vomit, and poop, but does skip over reproduction。 Nice art, including using tinted, enlarged slides of cells for the backgrounds! This book is a very amusing educational book for children。 It teaches different main body parts with excellent illustrations。 It has over 50 flaps you can lift up to get more information about a particular part。 I bought it for a friend's child, but it was so amusing that I ended going through all of it myself, curiously lifting up each flap one by one! The publisher has other "See inside" books that I have already ordered for gifts, but I will surely read them beforehand!
