Summary

Call Me by Your Name is the story of a sudden and powerful romance that blossoms between an adolescent boy and a summer guest at his parents' cliff-side mansion on the Italian Riviera。 Unprepared for the consequences of their attraction, at first each feigns indifference。 But during the restless summer weeks that follow, unrelenting buried currents of obsession and fear, fascination and desire, intensify their passion as they test the charged ground between them。 What grows from the depths of their spirits is a romance of scarcely six weeks' duration and an experience that marks them for a lifetime。 For what the two discover on the Riviera and during a sultry evening in Rome is the one thing both already fear they may never truly find again: total intimacy。

The psychological maneuvers that accompany attraction have seldom been more shrewdly captured than in André Aciman's frank, unsentimental, heartrending elegy to human passion。 Call Me by Your Name is clear-eyed, bare-knuckled, and ultimately unforgettable。

Love it! Perfect for my youngest niece!

While I am personally not a huge fan of unicorns (they're just horses with horns - you don't see narwhals bragging), it's hard to resist this lovely and amazing book! The illustrations and lettering alone are so lovely to look at but then you add on the fact that the book says great things about Mom (e。g。 more amazing than a billion butterflies, stronger than a squad of superheroes)! Yes, most of the book is hyperbole but it is too fun to resist!Age: Infant-ToddlerCompanion: My Dad is Amazing! Colorful and bright。 Full of metaphors meant to be clever and loving。 Some just felt a bit too odd。 Recommended for 1-3 year olds。

For: mom fans; readers looking for an adoring book with bright illustrations。Possible red flags: could be difficult for those whose moms aren't amazing。 For: mom fans; readers looking for an adoring book with bright illustrations。Possible red flags: could be difficult for those whose moms aren't amazing。 。。。more

This book is great for mothers day especially for pre-k to kindergarten aged children。

It may be more appealing to a baby girl。 Unfortunately my toddler son has zero interest in it。

Of course mommy liked this book! I am pretty magical after all。 The drawings are charming, and there's so much to look at and different little new things to see。 The story is cute and simple, perfect for little ones。 Very cute。 Of course mommy liked this book! This is my daughters favorite book, we read it almost everyday and more than once a day most days。She is 8 months old, I'm not sure if she is drawn to the colors or what but she wants to have this book around her all the time。 I also love the message and it's a nice pat in the back when I'm having a hard day。 I already gifted this book to all my friends with children。 And, bought the Dad version for my husband who was getting a bit jealous。 Definitely a must have。 This is my daughters favorite book, we read it almost everyday and more than once a day most days。She is 8 months old, I'm not sure if she is drawn to the colors or what but she wants to have this book around her all the time。 I also love the message and it's a nice pat in the back when I'm having a hard day。 I already gifted this book to all my friends with children。 And, bought the Dad version for my husband who was getting a bit jealous。 Definitely a must have。 。。。more

I feel like this book is more for adults than children。 Maybe a good Mother’s Day gift。 The illustrations and colors are cool but don’t want to be encouraging my child to eat candy。
