Summary

Getting rich is not just about luck; happiness is not just a trait we are born with。 These aspirations may seem out of reach, but building wealth and being happy are skills we can learn。

So what are these skills, and how do we learn them? What are the principles that should guide our efforts? What does progress really look like?

Naval Ravikant is an entrepreneur, philosopher, and investor who has captivated the world with his principles for building wealth and creating long-term happiness。 The Almanack of Naval Ravikant is a collection of Naval's wisdom and experience from the last ten years, shared as a curation of his most insightful interviews and poignant reflections。 This isn't a how-to book, or a step-by-step gimmick。 Instead, through Naval's own words, you will learn how to walk your own unique path toward a happier, wealthier life。

One of the highest rated books on Goodreads for a reason, it lives up to the hype! Don't be a sucker like me and pay for it on Amazon, you can get it for free。 Just google "Navalimnack" and you'll find it (this isn't illegal, the author wants it to be free)。 So many great quotes and thoughts, I think you'll find a few gems that relate to you in it。 One of the highest rated books on Goodreads for a reason, it lives up to the hype! Naval Ravikanth spoke his mind in this one。 It was a pretty unbiased, straight-forward, and surprisingly an interesting read for a non-fiction book。 There were few stuffs which were mentioned over and over again, however as a whole he did not fail to emphasize the bottom line。 I really liked how unbiased his answers were。 He did not hesitate to mention the harsh realities, he was being 100% brutally honest about his perspective towards life, business and the world as a whole。

Начинал книгу, интересуясь первой частью, но по прочтении больше заметок оказалось сделано о том, как стать счастливее。 Не зря говорят, не в деньгах счастье :)

How's this book even free? How?So much of life's wisdom distilled into a single eBook。 Grateful to the author responsible for it's compilation。 Hearty thanks to Naval for this meaningful contribution to life。There's something I've learned starting at the beginning of the lockdown, "whatever it is that you learn, apply immediately"The bulk of the information written in this book has so much practical day to day applications。If you were to read this book, I'd advise you not to speed read。 Take one How's this book even free? How?So much of life's wisdom distilled into a single eBook。 Grateful to the author responsible for it's compilation。 Hearty thanks to Naval for this meaningful contribution to life。There's something I've learned starting at the beginning of the lockdown, "whatever it is that you learn, apply immediately"The bulk of the information written in this book has so much practical day to day applications。If you were to read this book, I'd advise you not to speed read。 Take one lesson, apply daily, if any doesn't interest or resonate with you, skip。 Move on to the next, you'll be surprised how dramatically your life's trajectory would change, if anything at all, it's good for your mental and energy levels。 A wonderful book。 。。。more

I'm happy I got to know about Mr。 Naval Ravikant。 Have followed him on Twitter as well。 This book is a compilation of his tweets and podcasts。Released in 2020, it has so much relevance in today's world。 Being a software engineer, I enjoyed how much focus was given to S。T。E。M。 as well。 I'll be definitely re-reading this book next year。 I'm happy I got to know about Mr。 Naval Ravikant。 Have followed him on Twitter as well。 This book is a compilation of his tweets and podcasts。Released in 2020, it has so much relevance in today's world。 Being a software engineer, I enjoyed how much focus was given to S。T。E。M。 as well。 I'll be definitely re-reading this book next year。 。。。more

Compounding principle, rational Buddhism, and specific knowledge are some of the concepts that Naval Ravikant says and proved to be essential in achieving wealth and happiness。 Jorgenson's Almanack is an attempt by the author to confine Ravikant's life-proven ideas that scattered on the web into a book。There is much-needed wisdom nooked in every corner of the book, but in the end, makes me want a more structured book than just a scrapbook of Ravikant's idea from the web。 Compounding principle, rational Buddhism, and specific knowledge are some of the concepts that Naval Ravikant says and proved to be essential in achieving wealth and happiness。 Jorgenson's Almanack is an attempt by the author to confine Ravikant's life-proven ideas that scattered on the web into a book。There is much-needed wisdom nooked in every corner of the book, but in the end, makes me want a more structured book than just a scrapbook of Ravikant's idea from the web。 。。。more

As a successful entrepreneur who’s gone through many of the same trials and tribulations as Naval, I think he does a great job of summarizing the deep foundational truths that thoughtful, sensitive, and intelligent high achievers will eventually arrive at on their own。 If you really take the lessons to heart, He may save you a few years of painful lessons。One criticism is Naval has a bit of a blind spot for the harsh realities of up and comers。 I think there is some room for misinterpretation of As a successful entrepreneur who’s gone through many of the same trials and tribulations as Naval, I think he does a great job of summarizing the deep foundational truths that thoughtful, sensitive, and intelligent high achievers will eventually arrive at on their own。 If you really take the lessons to heart, He may save you a few years of painful lessons。One criticism is Naval has a bit of a blind spot for the harsh realities of up and comers。 I think there is some room for misinterpretation of his extreme views on putting yourself first。 The world exists outside your head, and appearances matter。 Maybe Naval can get away with standing up and leaving in the middle of a dinner, but that’s because he’s already rich, has endless social opportunities, and all the relationships he needs。 。。。more

I’m not saying Naval is one, but this book presents him as a jack of all philosophies, and a master of none。 Probably one of the most redundant books I’ve read but I still give it a 2 star rating because it had some very important ideas。 But it was only that, a collection of ideas。Naval also said he doesn’t like to go with the norm, maybe he was ahead of his times and everything he believes in meant going against the flow 25 years ago but everything presented in this book was in line with the cu I’m not saying Naval is one, but this book presents him as a jack of all philosophies, and a master of none。 Probably one of the most redundant books I’ve read but I still give it a 2 star rating because it had some very important ideas。 But it was only that, a collection of ideas。Naval also said he doesn’t like to go with the norm, maybe he was ahead of his times and everything he believes in meant going against the flow 25 years ago but everything presented in this book was in line with the current status quo。 He’s a very smart dude and definitely applies a lot of what he says, but that’s the sauce - application - not just knowledge。 。。。more

I DO NOT READ SELF HELPS。 I still couldn’t read the whole book because I JUST CANT。 But for everyone who loves self helps, it is actually A SOLID FIVE STAR READ。 If I ever pick one up, I can never read past few pages。 I just don’t believe in someone telling me ‘how to’ this and that。 I just can’t。 I’ve tried it with 100s of books my father reads。 But this one is different。 Maybe because it doesn’t try to teach you anything, no ones trying to be the ‘ideal idol’ everyone looks up to。 No motivatio I DO NOT READ SELF HELPS。 I still couldn’t read the whole book because I JUST CANT。 But for everyone who loves self helps, it is actually A SOLID FIVE STAR READ。 If I ever pick one up, I can never read past few pages。 I just don’t believe in someone telling me ‘how to’ this and that。 I just can’t。 I’ve tried it with 100s of books my father reads。 But this one is different。 Maybe because it doesn’t try to teach you anything, no ones trying to be the ‘ideal idol’ everyone looks up to。 No motivational speaker, no excessive blabbering about success, no judgement about the readers and their habits。 It is just like some wise professor speaking out of experience。 。。。more

A fantastic insight into the thoughts and principles of a tremendous thinker。 Naval is clear in his message。 Play the long game。 Choose short term pain。 Suffering comes from desire。 Compound interest builds your wealth and freedom while you rest。 Learn。 Read。 A lot。 Money solves money problems。 The others remain。 Seek wealth。 Happiness is a skill learned and developed。 If you play stupid games you will win stupid prizes。 Don't play the status game。 Zero net sum。 And so much more。。。。。 A fantastic insight into the thoughts and principles of a tremendous thinker。 Naval is clear in his message。 Play the long game。 Choose short term pain。 Suffering comes from desire。 Compound interest builds your wealth and freedom while you rest。 Learn。 Read。 A lot。 Money solves money problems。 The others remain。 Seek wealth。 Happiness is a skill learned and developed。 If you play stupid games you will win stupid prizes。 Don't play the status game。 Zero net sum。 And so much more。。。。。 。。。more

Read it in a Kindle。 It's a collection of knowledge about life principles and opinions of Naval Ravikant。 He also has suggested about 50 books from the fields of science, philosophy and science fiction as a list of essential reads。Overall it's a book you can keep coming back to for references whenever needed in life。 Read it in a Kindle。 It's a collection of knowledge about life principles and opinions of Naval Ravikant。 He also has suggested about 50 books from the fields of science, philosophy and science fiction as a list of essential reads。Overall it's a book you can keep coming back to for references whenever needed in life。 。。。more
