This issue took a whopping 8。5 hours to get through - 6 hours of guided reading with my tutor， followed by 2。5 hours of reading alone when I got home。 We've now reached a turning part in the story where 艾連 finally learns the truth about how he got his Titan powers。https://www。youtube。com/watch？v=Fq6BM。。。I'm drowning in an ocean of vocabulary words。 You think "hey， I can get through my daily life， have casual conversations， and play board games ok， so I must have this language down" - then you go This issue took a whopping 8。5 hours to get through - 6 hours of guided reading with my tutor， followed by 2。5 hours of reading alone when I got home。 We've now reached a turning part in the story where 艾連 finally learns the truth about how he got his Titan powers。https://www。youtube。com/watch？v=Fq6BM。。。I'm drowning in an ocean of vocabulary words。 You think "hey， I can get through my daily life， have casual conversations， and play board games ok， so I must have this language down" - then you go out and try reading some real books （if you can call manga "real books"） and you begin to realize just how high the mountain is - just how many words there are in a language。 Come to think of it， even when I'm reading English I still have to look up a word every page or two。 I'll probably never fully master English， much less Chinese。There are so many words that it is impossible to remember them all， but at least the high frequency ones are starting to stick， and even retaining 10% is a massive influx of vocabulary。After the next issue， I'll have reached the half-way point in the portion of the series that has been published so far （actually， the final issue will be published in a few weeks。 But I'm not allowed to read it in English， so it'll be a few months yet before I find out how the series ends）。 。。。more
