Summary

Breezing into the upscale seaside paradise of Westport, Connecticut, gorgeous thirtysomething Piper Reynard sets down roots, opening a rehab and wellness space and joining a local yacht club。 When she meets Leo Drakos, a handsome, successful lawyer, the wedding ring on his finger is the only thing she doesn’t like about him。 Yet as Piper well knows, no marriage is permanent。

Meanwhile, Joanna has been waiting patiently for Leo, the charismatic man she fell in love with all those years ago, to re-emerge from the severe depression that has engulfed him。 Though she’s thankful when Leo returns to his charming, energetic self, paying attention again to Evie and Stelli, the children they both love beyond measure, Joanna is shocked to discover that it’s not her loving support that’s sparked his renewed happiness—it’s something else。

Piper。 Leo has fallen head over heels for the flaky, New Age-y newcomer, and unrepentant and resolute, he’s more than willing to leave Joanna behind, along with everything they’ve built。 Of course, he assures her, she can still see the children。

Joanna is devastated—and determined to find something, anything, to use against this woman who has stolen her life and her true love。 As she digs deeper into Piper’s past, Joanna begins to unearth disturbing secrets 。 。 。 but when she confides to her therapist that she fears for the lives of her ex-husband and children, her concerns are dismissed as paranoia。 Can she find the proof she needs in time to save them?

I was gifted this ARC of the Wife Stalker and it was a great book to take on vacation。 I liked it, but I didn't absolutely love it。 I had guessed the initial twist early on and felt like it took a while to reveal what was going on。 It ended with a couple of plot holes that leave me with questions I wish were answered。 That being said, it was still a fun read。 I stayed up late to finish this one and loved the alternating, short chapters between Piper and Joanna。 Very twisty! 💕Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️ out o I was gifted this ARC of the Wife Stalker and it was a great book to take on vacation。 I liked it, but I didn't absolutely love it。 I had guessed the initial twist early on and felt like it took a while to reveal what was going on。 It ended with a couple of plot holes that leave me with questions I wish were answered。 That being said, it was still a fun read。 I stayed up late to finish this one and loved the alternating, short chapters between Piper and Joanna。 Very twisty! 💕Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️ out of 5。 📖 。。。more

This is one of the worst books I've read。 I was actually surprised at the twist but it was so poorly executed, the opposite of a thrilling page-turner。 It's like there were two plots for the book and it was really confusing, way more than needed。 This is one of the worst books I've read。 I was actually surprised at the twist but it was so poorly executed, the opposite of a thrilling page-turner。 It's like there were two plots for the book and it was really confusing, way more than needed。 。。。more

Wow! Just wow! This story took me in from the beginning and never let go。 Each chapter is told by the two main female characters, Piper and Joanna。 We also meet the man, Leo and his two children。 It seems Leo is leaving his wife for a younger, brand new version。 Piper is everything that Joanna isn't。 And Leo is hooked。 As the book progresses I really hated Leo。 Thought he was a genuine asshat。 And I felt so sorry for Joanna his ex。 It wasn't till the last quarter of the book that things got inte Wow! Completed the audiobook today - the narrator was quite good。Book flowed with short chapters , easy to listen to。Quite engaged for the beginning of the book , was slower in middle section then reengaged for the last few chapters should have realised about the lack of recourse from the legal system with visitations rights etc which made sense in the end。The lead up could have been better - although plot twisting - I was disappointed with the ending。。。…Glad I listened to the audio as quite possible Completed the audiobook today - the narrator was quite good。Book flowed with short chapters , easy to listen to。Quite engaged for the beginning of the book , was slower in middle section then reengaged for the last few chapters should have realised about the lack of recourse from the legal system with visitations rights etc which made sense in the end。The lead up could have been better - although plot twisting - I was disappointed with the ending。。。…Glad I listened to the audio as quite possible I would have stopped reading half way through 。。。more

Nope。 Bad Lifetime movie in book form, and not in a good way。

Wow wow wow all the twists and turns were unpredictable and crazy and everyone is so unstable you don’t know what to expect or believe。 I rarely give 5 stars but this one was worth it for me。 Amazing job from Liv Constantine!

A book with short chapters and psycho characters。 What’s not to love?Originally I was around a 3。5 with this book but after reading it I bumped it up to a 4! If you read it you will understand why。

I liked this book until the last few chapters。 Then I was mad that is turned into a bad Lifetime movie。

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it, click here。 Maybe 2 1/2 stars。 I honestly can’t believe I finished this book。 I could not find any redeeming qualities with either woman, Piper or Joanna。 The story is told from alternating perspectives。 Both women were despicable, but in pathetically different ways that left me not cheering for either one。 I wanted them both to off each other!!。 And what kind of smart successful lawyer marries a woman he barely knows- especially with small children involved??? It’s not like he needed child care- he has a nanny (Rebecca)。 I guess the authors wanted us to think of him as a typical grief stricken man thinking with his *^%#, rather than his head around a beautiful woman。 Too many unanswered questions about Piper’s past that Leo doesn’t seem to even question or care about- and he is supposed to be a brilliant successful lawyer? From a reader’s perspective, it doesn’t seem that way。 Yes, his first wife had problems, but he did not really think about long term effects and the welfare of his children who he claimed to love very much。 Not impressed with this one。 I enjoyed their other book - The Last Mrs。 Parrish, but this one, not so much。 。。。more

Overall,  it was a meh read for me。 The beginning was good, but in the middle, nothing happened, I waited too long to something happen and it didn’t come。The ending was unexpected BUT I didn't even like it or buy it。 I am just giving it extra credit for the audiobook and the brilliant narrators。 Overall,  it was a meh read for me。 The beginning was good, but in the middle, nothing happened, I waited too long to something happen and it didn’t come。The ending was unexpected BUT I didn't even like it or buy it。 I am just giving it extra credit for the audiobook and the brilliant narrators。 。。。more

A classic Liv Constantine novel, getting you to empathize with one character and despise another only to throw in a twist at the last minute that you never saw coming even though you thought you could predict the ending from the first chapter。 It's a quick read and entertaining, I appreciate short chapters。 A classic Liv Constantine novel, getting you to empathize with one character and despise another only to throw in a twist at the last minute that you never saw coming even though you thought you could predict the ending from the first chapter。 It's a quick read and entertaining, I appreciate short chapters。 。。。more

This is probably closer to 2。5 stars, but I can't do a half stars on this thing。So yet another mystery/thriller that is told from multiple perspectives。 Here we're following Joanna and Piper。 Piper is a hot rich thang who owns a wellness center (very Goop), and is new in town after two previous marriages ended in suspicious deaths of her husbands。 She's got her sights set on Leo, a criminal defense attorney。 Joanna has been waiting patiently for Leo to get out of his serious depression after she This is probably closer to 2。5 stars, but I can't do a half stars on this thing。So yet another mystery/thriller that is told from multiple perspectives。 Here we're following Joanna and Piper。 Piper is a hot rich thang who owns a wellness center (very Goop), and is new in town after two previous marriages ended in suspicious deaths of her husbands。 She's got her sights set on Leo, a criminal defense attorney。 Joanna has been waiting patiently for Leo to get out of his serious depression after she's cared for him for so many years to her detriment, and feels threatened by Joanna。 Piper quickly moves in, Joanna is forced to move out, and we're off to the races to see what's really going on here。Like all mystery/thrillers there are twists of course, but I just thought this one was okay。 I could tell pretty quickly that something was a little off - unreliable narrators cough cough - but didn't feel like the payoff was satisfying, well developed, or thought out。 Just meh but a quick read。 。。。more

Eh, this book didn’t work for me。 After reading (and loving) The Last Mrs。 Parrish, I was excited to read more by the sister duo known as Liv Constantine。 The first part of this book seemed ridiculous at parts, completely unbelievable, but I recall feeling the same way when I read “The Last Mrs。 Parish,” so I soldiered through。 Then I got to the “gotcha” moment that supposedly explained all those ridiculous moments from before and just thought, “No。 Way。” It simply didn’t work for me。 However, I Eh, this book didn’t work for me。 After reading (and loving) The Last Mrs。 Parrish, I was excited to read more by the sister duo known as Liv Constantine。 The first part of this book seemed ridiculous at parts, completely unbelievable, but I recall feeling the same way when I read “The Last Mrs。 Parish,” so I soldiered through。 Then I got to the “gotcha” moment that supposedly explained all those ridiculous moments from before and just thought, “No。 Way。” It simply didn’t work for me。 However, I have to admit the very last sentence of the book was a nice touch that leaves the reader thinking, “Wait。。。 What?” That was the best part of the book, in my opinion。 Another thing I appreciate about Liv’s books is the refreshing lack of profanity。 That’s becoming sadly less and less common in modern fiction (other than Christian fiction), but it shows that authors *can* write a good story without swearing。 Although this wasn’t nearly as good as “Mrs。 Parish” in my opinion, I do enjoy the sisters’ writing style and cleverness, so I’ll definitely be reading more of their books。 。。。more

I received a free ARC from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review。This book was mediocre in my opinion。 The storyline that the author was going for was good and the twists at the end are very good, but the execution of it was lacking。 I felt the timeline seemed unlikely, some of the story seemed rushed to make things happen。 Also, some of the storyline that made sense while reading didn’t quite add up after the twist。 2。5
