Summary

Joe is done with the cities。 He’s done with the muck and the posers, done with Love。 Now, he’s saying hello to nature, to simple pleasures on a cozy island in the Pacific Northwest。 For the first time in a long time, he can just breathe。

He gets a job at the local library—he does know a thing or two about books—and that’s where he meets her: Mary Kay DiMarco。 Librarian。 Joe won’t meddle, he will not obsess。 He’ll win her the old-fashioned way。。。 by providing a shoulder to cry on, a helping hand。 Over time, they’ll both heal their wounds and begin their happily ever after in this sleepy town。

The trouble is。。。 Mary Kay already has a life。 She’s a mother。 She’s a friend。 She’s。。。 busy。

True love can only triumph if both people are willing to make room for the real thing。 Joe cleared his decks。 He’s ready。 And hopefully, with his encouragement and undying support, Mary Kay will do the right thing and make room for him。

Alright, Kepnes。 How do you keep doing this to me? Three books in a row not only do I feel sympathy for Joe the Crazy Pants, I am ACTIVELY ROOTING FOR HIM。 Stellar writing and storytelling once again。 Kepnes goes 3/3 for out of the park home runs in the You series。 What a book to start the month out with! Don’t miss this one on sale 4/6/2021!

This gave me a lot to think about while reading。Overall I just didn't feel onboard with the plot direction。 That said, I still enjoyed the overall reading experience, and I would love to read more books in the future featuring Joe。 。。。more

I love You, and I love Joe (so shoot me), but this book didn't quite hit the same heights as You or even Hidden Bodies。 I guess in a way I thought, where can Joe go next? What is there more to see? I’d not read one of Caroline Kepnes books before this one but I have watched the Netflix show and thoroughly enjoyed it。 Joe Goldberg is back and this time he’s changed! Caroline Kepnes has done it again。 Another great story with twists and turns that I didn’t see coming。 She has me routing for Joe even though I shouldn’t! A well thought out plot with believable characters。 It’s a great read but you do need to concentrate or you can get confused between what Joe is thinking and saying out loud。 I don’t feel you need to have read the other books to enjoy this one, but some of the references to people and events will go over your head。 I definitely recommend this Caroline Kepnes has done it again。 Another great story with twists and turns that I didn’t see coming。 She has me routing for Joe even though I shouldn’t! Is he going to go after Mary Kay with his usual determination and internal scheming? You'll have to read this to find out! What I love most about this series is, (and I suspect it's the same reason as a lot of other readers), that Joe is written in such a way, that we are actually rooting for the guy。 In his twisted head, which we have access to, his thoughts make sense-not in a way that represents a lot of moral thinking, but sense just the same。 In his thoughts, he's really trying to do his best to change。 At least, at first。Like the other two books, there are a lot of cultural references and song tidbits-things like that, and I was happy to get most of them。 Joe also has a way of referring to events or people with certain nicknames and that cracks me up because I do the same。 I was giggling over the moniker "Strawberry Killer" but I can't tell you why right now。 The only issue I had with this book and it's a small one, is that it became a bit difficult at times to follow the discussions because Joe was acting as another person。 Does that make any sense? It slowed down my reading just a bit, because I wanted to be sure exactly what was happening。 I think this is due to the second person point of view, and also because I'm obsessed with getting everything straight in my head where Joe is concerned。 In fact, I may be a bit obsessed with Joe, in general。That's it, that's all I'm going to say。 I don't want to spoil any of the deliciousness that awaits you。 After all, YOU LOVE ME and I don't want to do anything to ruin that。 Highly recommended!Available everywhere books are sold, Tuesday, April 6th。*Thank you to the author, publisher and to NetGalley for the e-ARC of this book in exchange for my honest feedback。 This is it!* 。。。more

5 stars as usual for the latest in author Caroline Kepnes’s You series。 You Love Me is just as delicious to read as the preceding books were!In this and all of the You books I am astounded, awed by the author’s ability to show perfect insight into an intelligent and slightly askew but sensitive male mind。 Joe is my dream man - a sympathetic sociopath - because of his socially-satirical, sarcastic, snarky, *aware* brain; and it amazes me that a female author can so accurately create such a male v 5 stars as usual for the latest in author Caroline Kepnes’s You series。 You Love Me is just as delicious to read as the preceding books were!In this and all of the You books I am astounded, awed by the author’s ability to show perfect insight into an intelligent and slightly askew but sensitive male mind。 Joe is my dream man - a sympathetic sociopath - because of his socially-satirical, sarcastic, snarky, *aware* brain; and it amazes me that a female author can so accurately create such a male voice and character。 Caroline Kepnes is also an astute observer through Joe of the hypocrisy inherent in weak human nature, as well as the mercurial condition of romantic love。I am a huge fan of this book and Caroline Kepnes, and I hope that Joe never dies。 。。。more

You Love Me had me truly gripped at our Joe's newest venture。 It's slick, intense and unnerving: just how I like my books。I couldn't put this down, and I loved every single moment。 One thing I love about YLM like I did with You and Hidden Bodies is the way Kepnes weaves in a lot of pop culture and book references。 It makes for a really interesting read because we get to know the characters so much more vividly。There were lots of shocks along the way, and although there were parts I expected they You Love Me had me truly gripped at our Joe's newest venture。 It's slick, intense and unnerving: just how I like my books。I couldn't put this down, and I loved every single moment。 One thing I love about YLM like I did with You and Hidden Bodies is the way Kepnes weaves in a lot of pop culture and book references。 It makes for a really interesting read because we get to know the characters so much more vividly。There were lots of shocks along the way, and although there were parts I expected they were formed in such a way that I was surprised when they happened。 Although the ending is a different matter entirely。 Despite being the third book in an incredibly popular series, and one of my all time absolute faves, the magic and power of the storyline isn't lost。 I'd be interesting to see how Joe's story continues, and despite how YLM played out, I feel like we're in for something huge in Joe Goldberg 4 if and when that happens。。。Honestly? I'm in love with and obsessed with this series。 Joe Goldberg style。You Love Me comes out 01。04 so please go and get it, and I'd like to say the biggest thank you to #NetGalley and @simonschusteruk for this copy。 I've never been so grateful! 。。。more

I give this book a 2。5 rating。 I didn’t love “Hidden Bodies” and I think I was secretly wishing this book would redeem the last story, but I was left very unsatisfied with the ending。 It also didn’t help that I didn’t like any of the characters whatsoever。 I feel like Joe is definitely not supposed to be the favourite character but he’s the only one I could stand this entire book。 If a fourth book is released I think I will just save my time and read the reviews。
