This is the 9th Eyewitness Guide that I've used。 It is not up to the standards of the others I read previously。 Other locations in the series give extensive detail on all attractions within a section of the city。 Instead the Lisbon guide just provides one or two "must sees" and a few other places of interest。 Travelling in Amsterdam， London， Paris， Rome， Greece and other locations， I never saw an interesting place that wasn't mentioned in the Eyewitness guide。 The Lisbon guide omits many interes This is the 9th Eyewitness Guide that I've used。 It is not up to the standards of the others I read previously。 Other locations in the series give extensive detail on all attractions within a section of the city。 Instead the Lisbon guide just provides one or two "must sees" and a few other places of interest。 Travelling in Amsterdam， London， Paris， Rome， Greece and other locations， I never saw an interesting place that wasn't mentioned in the Eyewitness guide。 The Lisbon guide omits many interesting places to visit。 One example is the small but fascinating Roman Theater Museum。 Most of the other guides I've used started each section of the city with a map of that area。 These maps are usually better than the free tourist maps given out in the cities。 The Lisbon guide， at least in the kindle edition， links you to Google Maps。 If I wanted that format， I would not have purchased to Eyewitness guide。There are many other small things that were disappointing in this guide。Overall the DK Eyewitness guide is completely dissapointing。 I will have to look closer at the guides before buying them in the future。 。。。more

I like this series of guides。 Unfortunately this edition is rather out of date。 Do no try doing the 90-minute walk in the Alfama - it is no longer possible to do。 However， the other information was very helpful and the illustrations are a bonus。
