This might be my new favorite crochet book with a few caveats-I requested this book to be purchased for our library especially for me so that I could check it out for myself。 And I love this book so much that I want a copy of my very own。 I have made so far several coleus, a money plant, a venus fly trap, and a fishbone cactus – and several more plants started but not finished。 My eventual goal is to crochet my way thru the whole book and put potted plants on all my co workers desk and fill the This might be my new favorite crochet book with a few caveats-I requested this book to be purchased for our library especially for me so that I could check it out for myself。 And I love this book so much that I want a copy of my very own。 I have made so far several coleus, a money plant, a venus fly trap, and a fishbone cactus – and several more plants started but not finished。 My eventual goal is to crochet my way thru the whole book and put potted plants on all my co workers desk and fill the pots with secret candy。 The things I didn’t love about the books (although, not necessarily a negative for me) :I didn’t love that it’s written in uk terms rather than us terms。 It basically meant I needed to translate the patterns out so I didn’t forget to switch the terms while making the plant。 Also, working over the wire took some practice to get used to it。 In the end the coleus had to be remade because the wire doesn’t do as well being added at the end- it’s much better to crochet over while making it。 And the floral wire hasn’t held up in the stems of either the money plant or venus fly trap。 (For the fly trap I ended up remaking and using pipe cleaners and still not being as happy as I wanted with result。 ) 。。。more
