This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it， click here。 The best kind of agonizing， heartbreaking slow burn with a strong female lead。 I absolutely adored Amara， making her easily one of my favorite book characters。 Her storyline was done tastefully and somehow avoided the all the cliches that often follow。 Her character was strong and resilient while still remaining vulnerable and human， making her extremely relatable。 Amara was the star of this book and possibly the whole storyline so far。 Unpopular opinion but I love Dante and Amara’s story and ch The best kind of agonizing， heartbreaking slow burn with a strong female lead。 I absolutely adored Amara， making her easily one of my favorite book characters。 Her storyline was done tastefully and somehow avoided the all the cliches that often follow。 Her character was strong and resilient while still remaining vulnerable and human， making her extremely relatable。 Amara was the star of this book and possibly the whole storyline so far。 Unpopular opinion but I love Dante and Amara’s story and chemistry way more than Tristian and Morana’s。 Don’t get me wrong， the last two books were good but Dante and Amara blew it out of the water。 Their bond and connection is incomparable。 I’m not a huge fan of the pregnancy or miscommunication trope but was able to digest it quite easily in this book because it wasn’t the whole plot and they tended to handle things like adults。 There is a only few reasons I wouldn’t give this a full five- one being how Dante reacted when he found out she was raped。 Though it wasn’t a huge reaction， it seemed out of character for how understanding he was before to her trauma。 Also， I really felt it was her story to share when she felt was best and he didn’t have any right holding her refusal to talk about that against her。 It doesn’t matter if you’re her partner， that was her trauma to digest at her own pace。 That part in particular left a sour taste in my mouth。 The other few things are minor but I still feel like I’m just as lost as I was about the subplot when I finished the last two books。 It seems like we’re running in place at times trying to figure out more about the underbelly of organized crime， a theme that is growing more and more in these books。 Kind of wish we could make some progress on that。 。。。more
