Very much liked it but the length and also all these side stories from people who made great fortunes were a bit tiring。 😆

Found the last four chapters the most beneficial。 Can’t wait for opportunities to occur need to create them and that all starts with imagining and visualizing。

Very basic。 Don't think anything too special about it。 Some interesting parts but also many boring bits that drag on for a while。 Quite repetitive from time to time。 Would recommend taking notes while reading and going back to certain chapters to refresh your memory because there's a lot of information。 Very basic。 Don't think anything too special about it。 Some interesting parts but also many boring bits that drag on for a while。 Quite repetitive from time to time。 Would recommend taking notes while reading and going back to certain chapters to refresh your memory because there's a lot of information。 。。。more

It is a good book。 It revolves around the idea of modeling your mind to be consistent in pursuing your goals and, therefore, get rich。 It presents some principles that depicts the concepts behind some behaviors and also it indicates what kind of behaviors can jeopardize our mind, hence, hindering progress。 If you are in the phase of creating resilience and looking for motivation, this book might help you。

ONE OF THE BEST BOOKS ANYONE COULD EVER READ。 If your looking into learning how to be better financially, this book will teach you everything you need to know and have mentally。 This book relates to money, but in my opinion, the lessons Napolean Hill teaches could be applied to any goal or dream that you have。 Whether it be to build a business or to travel the world or whatever。 I think this book should be read by anyone and everyone。 It truly is a great starter book as well since as you read, y ONE OF THE BEST BOOKS ANYONE COULD EVER READ。 If your looking into learning how to be better financially, this book will teach you everything you need to know and have mentally。 This book relates to money, but in my opinion, the lessons Napolean Hill teaches could be applied to any goal or dream that you have。 Whether it be to build a business or to travel the world or whatever。 I think this book should be read by anyone and everyone。 It truly is a great starter book as well since as you read, you'll recognize your weakness and develop ideas and interests on topics you want to learn to be better for yourself。 。。。more

A deceiving title, but deceiving for a reason。 If only this book could be required at some point of our education。 The “riches” Hill talks about are whatever you want to make them。 Recommend 100% to anyone facing their path to success。 It all starts with an attitude and from there the world is yours。

This isn’t for me。 It’s too much of a self-help book, and the thing it’s focused on is building wealth。 I don’t want to pursue wealth at any cost。 I want to be happy, fulfilled, etc。 Financial stability will help that goal, but I am not the proper target for this text。

I’d like to say there were gems in this, but, after reading some of the later chapters, whatever diamonds in the rough could be previously found have now been tainted with the “old boys’ club” aura that drips between the lines。 I had to skip past antiquated parts in this book that places women beneath men; at times, the author even blames women for men’s lack of success。 Read this if you can swallow the heteronormative, patriarchal approach to making money。 In my opinion there are far better boo I’d like to say there were gems in this, but, after reading some of the later chapters, whatever diamonds in the rough could be previously found have now been tainted with the “old boys’ club” aura that drips between the lines。 I had to skip past antiquated parts in this book that places women beneath men; at times, the author even blames women for men’s lack of success。 Read this if you can swallow the heteronormative, patriarchal approach to making money。 In my opinion there are far better books that are inclusive: I’m not sure why this is still considered a bestseller。 。。。more

I read the original because I wanted to read it as the author wrote it。 But now I think I should have read the updated version。 This book was written around the time of The Great Depression and while much of financial advice is timeless, the references are NOT。 Times have changed a ton since this was written。 I still think it's worth reading! I'm in doubt what to think about this book。 The things that actually makes sense for me started in the last 20%。 In general, it seemed to me like rather unsorted random thoughts and ideas put together into one place。 Additionally, some of them a little obsolete, but this is understandable when we realize that the book was authored based on facts in the early 20th century。Of course there is the general truth。 Everyone is in control of nothing but his own thoughts。 And to realize and actually work I'm in doubt what to think about this book。 The things that actually makes sense for me started in the last 20%。 In general, it seemed to me like rather unsorted random thoughts and ideas put together into one place。 Additionally, some of them a little obsolete, but this is understandable when we realize that the book was authored based on facts in the early 20th century。Of course there is the general truth。 Everyone is in control of nothing but his own thoughts。 And to realize and actually work with that, and mixed it with a strong desire and clear vision, is the start of the way to achieving success in life。 And it doesn't need to be just money, but also respect in the field of the business, health or just pure self-confidence。I would like to display here one citation that was especially burnt into my brain and with which I agree for 100%:"An educated man is one who has so developed the faculties of his mind that he may acquire anything he wants, or its equivalent, without violating the rights of others。" 。。。more

Listened to this because it's a classic, was free on Audible and I'd used up all my credits。 There is definitely some good stuff in here, for example advice on being really clear and intentional with your goals and making sure you're working towards them, but so much of this book is dated, deeply problematic (assumes anyone who is poor hasn't worked hard enough as just one example) and just a little bizarre。 It's also not at all heart centred and focuses on making money at any cost without consi Listened to this because it's a classic, was free on Audible and I'd used up all my credits。 There is definitely some good stuff in here, for example advice on being really clear and intentional with your goals and making sure you're working towards them, but so much of this book is dated, deeply problematic (assumes anyone who is poor hasn't worked hard enough as just one example) and just a little bizarre。 It's also not at all heart centred and focuses on making money at any cost without considering any negative impact you may be causing to others at the cost of your own wealth building。In this day and age, with all the problems that the 1% is causing the planet, I think perhaps it's time to let go of these old school teachings and start thinking about how to thrive doing what you love instead of just focusing on making cold hard cash。This book may help you with some of the basics of aligning your thoughts, believing in yourself and setting goals, but I doubt very much that the information in this book would make anyone rich。 And if you followed the advice in here to get rich, you may not have a lot of friends。 :/ 。。。more

I was suprised at the range of subjects touched on by Think and Grow Rich: the usual self-help stuff, economics, spiritual matters, history, etc。 I believe the overall premise of the book is accurate and helpful, however, although I don't see anything wrong with riches as some Christians do, I do think this book takes it a bit too far at times and the scripture: "the love for money is the root of all kinds of evil" comes to mind, especially in chapter 2。 I was suprised at the range of subjects touched on by Think and Grow Rich: the usual self-help stuff, economics, spiritual matters, history, etc。 I believe the overall premise of the book is accurate and helpful, however, although I don't see anything wrong with riches as some Christians do, I do think this book takes it a bit too far at times and the scripture: "the love for money is the root of all kinds of evil" comes to mind, especially in chapter 2。 。。。more
