Netgalley provided me a DRC of this book in exchange for an honest review。I'm not a big super hero/comic fan， but there are two exceptions: Guardians of the Galaxy and Teen Titans。 I've been a fan of this series since Teen Titans: Raven， and I love that each installment gets us closer and closer to the complete team （do I see Starfire in our future？！）。 This one actually seemed to be more about Damian Wayne than Robin， so I hope that in future books we get to know Dick Grayson a little bit better Netgalley provided me a DRC of this book in exchange for an honest review。I'm not a big super hero/comic fan， but there are two exceptions: Guardians of the Galaxy and Teen Titans。 I've been a fan of this series since Teen Titans: Raven， and I love that each installment gets us closer and closer to the complete team （do I see Starfire in our future？！）。 This one actually seemed to be more about Damian Wayne than Robin， so I hope that in future books we get to know Dick Grayson a little bit better。 （Although I guess they were both Robin at some point？ So maybe the title is ambiguous？）I feel like this one didn't really move the storyline along much--the kids are mostly hiding out and training while Slade hunts for them--but it looks like they are taking off for an adventure in LA when the next book rolls around。 。。。more

ARC provided by NetGalley。I’ve been sold by this series since the first book - and it keeps impressing me every issue！！ Kano Garcia has created such a wonderful story and for someone who grew up with Teen Titans， it makes my heart sooooo happy especially knowing that this newer generation gets to grow up with them as well！ Gabriel Picolo depicts the characters so gorgeously and I am absolutely obsessed with this series。 I love that they hint to our newest additions in each issue and cannot wait ARC provided by NetGalley。I’ve been sold by this series since the first book - and it keeps impressing me every issue！！ Kano Garcia has created such a wonderful story and for someone who grew up with Teen Titans， it makes my heart sooooo happy especially knowing that this newer generation gets to grow up with them as well！ Gabriel Picolo depicts the characters so gorgeously and I am absolutely obsessed with this series。 I love that they hint to our newest additions in each issue and cannot wait until the gang， crew， family is all together :D 100% will be purchasing this title and the rest of the series for my library。Well done once again！ Teen titans go！ 。。。more

Star Rating: 3。75First off， I'm always happy to read more comics with Gabriel Picolo's artwork！ I will be frank in saying that is a main reason I continue to read these; his love for the Teen Titans fandom shows through in his work and I love seeing him professionally able to work with DC。The weaker spot is always Kami Garcia's story pacing， but that is improving in light of being able to build off previous volumes。 The building of connections between characters and plot lines are working to her Star Rating: 3。75First off， I'm always happy to read more comics with Gabriel Picolo's artwork！ I will be frank in saying that is a main reason I continue to read these; his love for the Teen Titans fandom shows through in his work and I love seeing him professionally able to work with DC。The weaker spot is always Kami Garcia's story pacing， but that is improving in light of being able to build off previous volumes。 The building of connections between characters and plot lines are working to her advantage and allowing for a smoother experience than when the volumes focused solely on one title character。As for this specific volume， I absolutely loved that this focused on Dick and Damian's relationship。 I've been a fan of the BatFamily my whole life and love stories that focus on the complexities of the Robins' relationships with each other。 I also love that all of these characters are coming from different backgrounds。 Foster Care。 Adoption。 Single Parent。 Married Parents。 Estranged parent。 There is no "one way" to go through adolescence and I'm happy to see so many different representations of how a family is built。Overall， I'm still interested and excited to see how these stories build up， and very interested in how Kori's story will be developed and adapted for this storyline。 。。。more

All I can say is… I want more。 I am enjoying these stories， but I think I would enjoy it more if I read each graphic novel in one sitting。 I know these are pieces of the entire storyline and we are getting to know each character’s backstory， I just want more。 This will definitely be purchased for my library shelves and my students will love it as much as the other books in the series。 Robin is a perfect addition to this motley crew。 Thank you DC Entertainment and Netgalley for the advance copy。

This is what seems like a retcon of the origins of the Teen Titans group， who I have a very little experience with。 We have Dick Grayson， the current Robin and adopted some of Bruce Wayne， we have an apparent illegitimate child of Bruce Wayne （Damian）， we have a Raven， someone that seems to have the same powers as Beast Boy （names Gar here）， and someone named Maxine who has powers to raise the dead。 Prior to this book， Raven and Gar were being held in a laboratory that ran brutal experimental te This is what seems like a retcon of the origins of the Teen Titans group， who I have a very little experience with。 We have Dick Grayson， the current Robin and adopted some of Bruce Wayne， we have an apparent illegitimate child of Bruce Wayne （Damian）， we have a Raven， someone that seems to have the same powers as Beast Boy （names Gar here）， and someone named Maxine who has powers to raise the dead。 Prior to this book， Raven and Gar were being held in a laboratory that ran brutal experimental tests on them， and they just got free。 This book is Dick catching up to the other 4 because he's worried about his adoptive brother， and then the 5 teens trying to figure out how to hide from H。I。V。E。 who was the brain's behind the lab testing。 This is the 4th in a series， and I do feel like I should've started from the beginning。 I might go back to the beginning， because the overarching storyline is interesting。 But it didn't feel like much of anything happened in this。 The title seems like it's supposed to be a character study， but at the same time， it feels like more should have happened， and there's too many loose ends。 I am curious， and want to read more， though， so mission accomplished。 Since I got an ARC， the coloring wasn't complete， so I can't be completely sure。 However， what I saw of the art was really great。 I look forward to seeing this in its entirety。 I received an Advanced Reader Copy via NetGalley in return for sharing my thoughts on this book。 Thanks to the author and publisher for this opportunity！ 。。。more

Teen Titans Robin is another installment in the Teen Titans series。 This installment explores the complex relationship between brothers Damien and Dick while the rest of the Titans crew regroups。 The team take a breather before experimenting and training。 If this group is going to escape H。I。V。E。 they need to see what their talents can do。

The adventure continues in Volume 4！ With little previous knowledge of Dick Grayson and Damian Wayne， I found myself slightly confused in this Robin-centric storyline; however， I’m sure longtime fans will be unfazed。 This definitely felt like a “middle book，” picking up where we last left off but not advancing terribly far。 As always， though， love the artistic style。Thanks to NetGalley， the publisher， and the author for the ARC！ Coming March 2023！
