borrowing her books。 This way, I can read the paper copy。 I decided to read this manga because My Hero Academia is an anime my friends have been begging me to watch for a long time now。 The only problem is, I don’t do good when it comes to blood and violence。 After talking it out, we decided that I can just read the manga。 The main character of this series is Izuku Midoriya but most people refer to him by his nickname, Deku。 In this volume, the whole book takes place in the Hero Training Battle where Class 1-A and Class 1-B fight。 This volume begins where Yayurozu is midway through her battle with Kendo。 She pulls out a canon and goes a little off plan, but that wasn’t enough to beat Kendo。 Kendo uses her big fist quirk and wins the battle of match 2。 The next match was between Todoroki, Shoji, Iida, and Ojiro against 4 other Class B members。 This match didn’t have much teamwork since these teams simply chose to have a 1 v 1。 Also, they got mad at each other if someone interrupted to help。 Iida battled with this softening guy。 The softening guy can soften the touch of anything he chooses, as long as it’s not living。 Softening guy softened the floor which made it nearly impossible for Iida to battle with。 Iida ended up using his special move to get out of the floor, where he decided he was going to abandon his opponent and go help the others。 Todoroki and Tetsutetsu were another match。 Todoroki had an incredibly hard time fighting Tetsutetsu。 His ice didn’t work that well on him due to Tetsu’s brute strength, and his fire didn’t work on him because Tetsu’s made out of steel。 This battle was very difficult for everyone since it left knocking almost everyone unconscious。 Match 3 ended in a tie。 Now, it’s match 4’s turn。 Match 4 consists of Bakugo, Jirou, Sero, and Sato against Lizardy and 3 other Class B members。 At first, the match looked terrible for Class 1-A, but that took a quick turn once Bakugo and his surprisingly great teamwork appeared。 Bakugo’s team became an untouchable group。 There was back up in every side。 Because of this flawless team effort, the class that won match 4 was Class 1-A。 Now there is only one battle left, match 5。 In match 5, the Class A team is Deku, Uraraka, Mineta, and Mina, that go against Shinzo, Monoma, and 3 other Class B students。 Before the match, Deku’s quirk has been acting up。 It finally cools down a bit and Deku is ready to enter the match。 Unfortunately, he was mistaken。 As soon as Deku is about to make his first move, his quirk loses control。 Black lashes start to appear out of his body while in mid-air。 The black lashes start throwing Deku into buildings, walls, and it’s incredibly painful。 Uraraka notices this and rushes to help。 She is able to hold Deku in place but the strange black lashes seem to be tearing up his mind。 Shizo enters the scene and Uraraka orders him to brainwash Deku。 Volume 22 ended while Deku sees a vision in Shinzo’s brainwashing。 If I were to recommend this book to anyone, I will recommend it to my two friends, Mariana and Fergie。 They both have watched the anime and are still obsessed with it。 I know Fergie is going to read this book soon, but I don’t know about Mariana。 This series is suited for both boys and girls。 I feel like both would enjoy the storyline and the characters in it。 As long as they’re above the age of 10, anyone can read it。 Mrs。 Desimone, I don’t know if this series is the type of book you’ll like, but I would recommend it to your husband。 I remember you telling the class that he watches My Hero Academia so I have a feeling he might enjoy this book too。 Throughout the third marking period, I have read more books than I can count。 If I read any more often, I probably might end up without a sleeping schedule。 The only problem I’ve been having trouble with, in this marking period, is updating Goodreads。 Most of the books I read aren’t big-time books and I usually like reading them on my own, so then I end up not being able to use any of them on my Goodreads。 Though I am very pleased with the amount of reading I have done throughout this marking period, I am disappointed about how much I’ve been struggling lately to keep up with the app。 For the next marking period, I would like to work on better updating Goodreads, even if that means I have to put a few of my books on pause。 。。。more

Another action-packed volume with so many things happening!Joint training with 1-A and 1-B continues, and we see more classmates from 1-A and 1-B show off their new skills and developments。 1-B are arguably better than 1-A in some areas。 They're better strategists that's for sure, giving 1-A a run for their money。 I loved seeing all the different Quirks in action and the different groups working together from both classes。Side note: Yay for Shinsou's return! I couldn't say that in the previous volume's review without it being a spoiler, but I'm so happy he's finally returned and gets to show off his secret training with Eraser Head。 The dynamics he has with 1-A and 1-B are fascinating to see。Although we see more of 1-B, some of 1-A get some screen time, including Iida, Todoroki, and Bakugou。 Todoroki is clearly still haunted by his father, and although he's come so far already, it's still a challenge to get past the trauma Endeavor caused him (which is also why it makes Endeavor's redemption arc hard to swallow)。 Endeavor does seem genuine in his choice to change, however。 He even tries reaching out to his son, although Shoto is causing resistance, understandably。 You can't forgive someone overnight。Iida also gets highlighted。 We haven't seen much of him closely for a while。 Here we get a catch-up with his family, and see how Stain's words have resonated with Iida。 He's actually using his advice about being a better hero and putting it to use in his training。 Stain wasn't wrong about Iida only fighting for revenge and not focusing on what mattered - saving people。 It's really improved him。Bakugou gets to show off his character development as well。 He's still rough around the edges, but he's letting slip here and there that he's getting nicer and and being more helpful towards Midoriya and their classmates。 He's more cooperative and the rivalry between him and Midoriya is more friendly。Finally, Midoriya has his match with his team, but of course, it doesn't go smoothly。 Something happens with One For All that had my jaw on the floor。 There's also a bit of IzuOcha which is nice。 Haven't had that in a while。We're left on a huge cliffhanger that's forced me to immediately jump to the next volume to find out what happens next。 Things are getting interesting! My Blog 。。。more

I loved how each character from both classes 1A and 1B have learned from their previous fights in the sports festival and are trying to improve their quirks, although I felt that the matches 2 and 3 were a bit to stretched but the ending chapter was exciting

i can’t wait to see more of bakugou’s character development and learn more about the “visions” that deku is having。 i find it really interesting and it definitely leaves you thinking。 we also get bits and pieces of bakugou working better with his teammates and some good moments with his and deku’s friendship !!

The students go through more rounds of training by fighting in an empty landscape。 The battles between groups of students from Class A and from Class B provide plenty of action and introduce new characters with new quirks。 But the story is not really going anywhere interesting for me and I am having a harder and harder time keeping track of everybody。 A lot of the action seems like it is better suited to anime than to manga。Slightly recommended。 I might be bailing on this series。
