Do I think it’s a little bit weird to have the illustrations of this book represented by seemingly actual toys? Yes。 Do I generally love farm books no matter what? Yes。 HOWEVER, a book will automatically lose my good opinion (for whatever that’s worth) if it calls something “hay” when it is YELLOW which is the color of STRAW。 Y’all we have Google。 It is not that hard to check that your basic facts that you are teaching children are accurate。 Animals sleep on YELLOW STRAW and they eat GREEN HAY。 Do I think it’s a little bit weird to have the illustrations of this book represented by seemingly actual toys? Another great popup book :) I noticed other ratings fall short of 5 stars because the pop ups aren't that durable, but I must say I think they're as good as they can be without making the book obscenely thick。。。。sure, my toddler has already started ripping some of them off :( but honestly the book is so cute I wouldn't mind buying it again whenever my infant daughter is old enough to experience them for herself。 For now, my son has fun when we open a pop up and I make a mystery sound when we fin Another great popup book :) I noticed other ratings fall short of 5 stars because the pop ups aren't that durable, but I must say I think they're as good as they can be without making the book obscenely thick。。。。sure, my toddler has already started ripping some of them off :( but honestly the book is so cute I wouldn't mind buying it again whenever my infant daughter is old enough to experience them for herself。 For now, my son has fun when we open a pop up and I make a mystery sound when we find the kitty or chick or whoever is missing。 。。。more

My eight month old daughter loves this book。 I’m sure that she adores it because Daddy makes all kind of silly noises and yells “peekaboo!” on every page。 Unfortunately, the pop ups are paper and not board, which is a problem for babies who want to touch everything!

A great book for interactive story telling with your little one, even from a few months old

E LOVES these。 Not fun to read, but she'll sit through as many of these as you want to read to her。 E LOVES these。 Not fun to read, but she'll sit through as many of these as you want to read to her。 。。。more

My daughter adores this book。 The only reason it doesn't get five stars is because they need to make the pop-up elements out of a more durable cardstock。 She's only a year old, she can't help touching it。 My daughter adores this book。 The only reason it doesn't get five stars is because they need to make the pop-up elements out of a more durable cardstock。 She's only a year old, she can't help touching it。 。。。more

Excellent read-aloud with PK children。 Have them name animals, count animals and make animal sounds with you。
