Summary

Laugh your head off in this second GRIMWOOD adventure! Your favourite fox cub siblings Ted and Nancy are back with an all-new wildly funny story that will have children (and their grown-ups) begging for more。
Perfect for readers age 7+, and fans of Dog Man, Roald Dahl, David Walliams, Mr Gum and anyone who likes to laugh。

Ted and Nancy are happily settled in Grimwood, loving life with their new friends。 But there’s a new dastardly enemy afoot… The mean mayor of neighbouring town Twinklenuts is on a mission to take over Grimwood and kick everyone out! Ted and Nancy must muster up bags of courage, rally their newfound friends together, and even show off their treebonking skills to save the home they’ve grown to love。

Fully illustrated throughout and brim full of heart, laughs and surprises, this is the must-read second title in the bestselling and fantastically funny Grimwood series。

Nadia Shireen has won awards for her picture books including the UKLA Book Award for Good Little Wolf, and her latest, Barbara Throws a Wobbler, has been described as a ‘little doorway of joy’ by Caitlin Moran。 She’s also been shortlisted for the Roald Dahl Funny Prize and the Waterstones Children's Book Prize, and has been Writer-Illustrator in Residence for BookTrust。 Grimwood is her first series for older readers。

Praise for Grimwood:
‘Funny, anarchic, original and gloriously silly。’ Richard Osman
‘Ted and Nancy are my favourite funny foxes EVER。’ Liz Pichon, author of Tom Gates
‘I CACKLED ALOUD on practically every page。 Comic gold, tinged with such tenderness。’ Kiran Millwood Hargrave
‘Grimwood is like Winnie-the-Pooh written by the Pythons, and so madly inventive and funny I was howling with laughter by the third page。 This is about to become a fundamental part of 21st century childhood。’ Caitlin Moran

Sophie Crane

This a great addition to the Grimwood family。 This is the second book but you don’t have to read the first one for it to make sense because it has a recap at the beginning。 A very funny early chapter book for children with wonderful illustrations。 It follows the story of two small foxes and their adventures in Grimwood。

‘It’s the nuttiest thing I’ve ever seen,’ he chuckled。 ‘It just might work。’This is the nuttiest book series I've read and it WORKED。Grimwood is absolutely ridiculous in the best way。Children will love the hilarious writing and matching illustrations, adults will marvel at the crazy genuis of an author who came up with it。 ‘It’s the nuttiest thing I’ve ever seen,’ he chuckled。 ‘It just might work。’This is the nuttiest book series I've read and it WORKED。Grimwood is absolutely ridiculous in the best way。Children will love the hilarious writing and matching illustrations, adults will marvel at the crazy genuis of an author who came up with it。 。。。more

This is one of those books that is supposed to be silly, funny and random and it is indeed, very silly, very funny and very random。 I remember reading books like these to the kids I used to babysit and they adored them。 I enjoyed it a lot。 I kind of wish I read it on audiobook because belatedly I have heard the audiobook is fantastic。

I totally recommend listening to the audiobook version of this with Adam Buxton's incredible narration。 Sharon the Party Crow and her glitter cannons are a particular delight。 I totally recommend listening to the audiobook version of this with Adam Buxton's incredible narration。 Sharon the Party Crow and her glitter cannons are a particular delight。 。。。more

Utterly daft, I loved it。

The Bauchler

Excellent。

Tom Mooney

The most bonkers book series in history。 As with book one, this was surreal, full of crazy characters and very, very funny。
