This was a good, if a bit repetitive, volume with some plot progression and a lot of good fights。Nothing special, but not bad。

Kapitol Tank

I can't tell if this gets any better, stays the same, or it's just on an infinite loop of what happens in the series since Z。I do love the artwork and the fight sequences but it gets really old real fast when there's a brand new villain which at first is powerful but then Goku and Vegeta fight then one of them is getting tired then the other one is losing but then something happens and they win and then it's all over again。I'm gonna give this one volume a last chance to the series, because I lik I can't tell if this gets any better, stays the same, or it's just on an infinite loop of what happens in the series since Z。I do love the artwork and the fight sequences but it gets really old real fast when there's a brand new villain which at first is powerful but then Goku and Vegeta fight then one of them is getting tired then the other one is losing but then something happens and they win and then it's all over again。I'm gonna give this one volume a last chance to the series, because I liked the whole story with the Cerelians and if the same thing happens again after Gus is defeated along with his gang, then it's minus 1 star from there onto the future ones。This is me being nice to the series because I love Dragonball since I was a kid。PS。 Vegeta needs a win asap。 。。。more

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it, click here。 The arc thus far has centered around the implications of using the dragon balls to become the strongest warrior in the universe。 I like this premise well enough, and I like how it ties into the history of Bardock and the Saiyans, but the whole conflict feels pretty empty to me。The Heeters want to overthrow Frieza (soo Dragonball Z) and Granola wants revenge on the Saiyans for killing his people。 These conflicts just feel empty compared to the Universe Survival arc (which hinges on total universa The arc thus far has centered around the implications of using the dragon balls to become the strongest warrior in the universe。 I like this premise well enough, and I like how it ties into the history of Bardock and the Saiyans, but the whole conflict feels pretty empty to me。The Heeters want to overthrow Frieza (soo Dragonball Z) and Granola wants revenge on the Saiyans for killing his people。 These conflicts just feel empty compared to the Universe Survival arc (which hinges on total universal annihilation), and even the Moro arc (which explored the implications of a magic-based enemy)。As a battle-heavy arc, it’s easy to compare this to the Moro fights。 I found Moro to be a much more interesting and tricky foe, while Granola and Gas are fairly standard fighters with just more power than usual。 The advent of Ultra Ego and Vegeta’s destruction training had a lot of potential to save this arc for me, but I already feel like they squandered that opportunity。I guess Goku gets to save the day again, barely defeating the newly powered-up baddie by discovering some new transformation at the last second。 。。。more

Now that Granolah knows the truth, we flip things over as we find ourselves rooting for him in his battle against another enemy who is supposedly the strongest warrior out there。。。 too。。。 This volume is once again very battle-oriented and ends on a cliffhanger as we expect Goku to get a moment to shine once more against an opponent who looks as insane as Broly!
