Summary

Four male friends support each other through the colorful ups and downs of teenage love。

These four friends couldn’t be more different: Natsuki Hashiba, a dreamer who longs for love, Tomoya Matsunaga, a self-centered playboy, Keiichi Katakura, a winsome guy with a hidden saucy streak, and Tsuyoshi Naoe, a socially awkward nerd who loves anime, manga, and games。 Together their high school days are as vibrant as rainbows!

Excited to have plans on Christmas Eve, Natsuki feels like he’s finally catching up to his friends who are in relationships。 But when things don’t go as planned, the stage is set for falling in love。

Two of the male leads are trash。 No, I don't want to read about a teenage dom, and no, I don't want to follow someone who tries to make cheating an Olympic level sport。 The other two guys aren't enough to elevate this。 No thanks, dropping this like it's hot garbage 👎 Two of the male leads are trash。 No, I don't want to read about a teenage dom, and no, I don't want to follow someone who tries to make cheating an Olympic level sport。 The other two guys aren't enough to elevate this。 No thanks, dropping this like it's hot garbage 👎 。。。more

a fun, cute shoujo manga! the oneshot story was also really cute (like honestly id totally read a longer story with the characters)。 I 。。。。。。 am not stoked about Matsunaga kissing Tsutsui though, especially since she just came out to him??? This book features a scene in which a character explains she has romantic feelings for her female best friend and hates men and the male character she is speaking to then kisses her out of nowhere。 When the female character is rightfully disturbed by this action, the male character thinks it is “cute”。 Wish I’d never read this shit。

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it, click here。 A decent first volume。 Characters can be seen as either lovable or down right unlikable。 I liked the extra chapters at the end, the creator notes during pages was odd but I didn’t mind。 The forced kiss that happens in volume one was just…creepy。 But there are some positives here。

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it, click here。 I really wanted to like this I’ve been wanting something from the males perspective since I finished Hatsu haru but this was not it for me。 The humor is just completely off and not to my personal taste。 I also found it a little uncomfortable when Matsunaga kisses the girl unprompted without her really wanting it。 That was weird to me and all the boys just seem more like caricatures of what highschool boys are like。 Maybe I’m wrong about that as I am not a boy or in highschool but it just seemed I really wanted to like this I’ve been wanting something from the males perspective since I finished Hatsu haru but this was not it for me。 The humor is just completely off and not to my personal taste。 I also found it a little uncomfortable when Matsunaga kisses the girl unprompted without her really wanting it。 That was weird to me and all the boys just seem more like caricatures of what highschool boys are like。 Maybe I’m wrong about that as I am not a boy or in highschool but it just seemed kind of ridiculous most of the time。 The friend with the pain fetish came across the weirdest for me。 Not for what he was into I would say but the way the author wrote that into the story。 。。。more

If you enjoy shojo then you will like this twist on the classic shojo title。 It's told from the cute boys side and how they want girlfriends or how they are in relationship。 From getting dump, and pinning for a girl it's refreshing。 We follow four friends, and how different they are in hobbies and interest but still have each other back。 Can't wait to see what else will happen in this series and root my boys on! While this manga wasn't really for me, I do think readers who enjoy slice of life, high school shenanigans will enjoy it。 It has a similar vibe to Horimiya。 Unfortunately, I didn't really like most of the characters。 However, Natsuki and his crush are super cute together! The story itself is pretty typical - holiday themed stories, obsessing over crushes, studying, etc。 There are two short stories at the end, as well。*I received an eARC from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review* While this manga wasn't really for me, I do think readers who enjoy slice of life, high school shenanigans will enjoy it。 It has a similar vibe to Horimiya。 Unfortunately, I didn't really like most of the characters。 However, Natsuki and his crush are super cute together! Thanks NetGalley for let me read an ARC of the English version。 I’d give this 3。5 stars。 I thought the story was really cute。 I loved the friendship between the four boys。 It was realistic to how boys act, where they tease one another but are also supportive of one another, no matter their tastes。 Not a lot happens in the first issue。 It’s more establishing the friendship between the four and Natchan’s crush。 I’m intrigued to see how Natchan and Kobayakawa’s relationship progresses!

This manga made me laugh out loud multiple times, which is hard to do。 The story and characters are ridiculous, but funny once in a while。 This book made me feel like a lot of time had gone by - but in a good sense。 Like we as readers are getting a good look at the characters from many scenarios in time。 It was quite cool。

I am reasonably certain that I reviewed the anime version of this title and that it didn't leave much of an impression on me, so I'm delighted to say that the manga is much more fun。 Why could simply boil down to the book being better than the adaptation, but whatever the reason, Rainbow Days' first volume is a goofy little confection about four guy friends with their own little quirks that may or may not work out for them。 There's enthusiastic sadist Kei, hapless Natchan, playboy Matsun, and ot I am reasonably certain that I reviewed the anime version of this title and that it didn't leave much of an impression on me, so I'm delighted to say that the manga is much more fun。 Why could simply boil down to the book being better than the adaptation, but whatever the reason, Rainbow Days' first volume is a goofy little confection about four guy friends with their own little quirks that may or may not work out for them。 There's enthusiastic sadist Kei, hapless Natchan, playboy Matsun, and otaku Tsuyopon, and together they're a mismatched bunch。 As the volume goes on, Natchan falls hard for Anna, who is guarded fiercely by her misandrist friend Mari, and I really don't like how Matsun acts around her, but that's the only major fly in the ointment。 Mostly this is just fluff and fun, and while it isn't likely to knock your socks off, it is a pretty fun time。 。。。more

There's a difference between a poly relationship and plain ol' cheating and I'd rather have Matsunaga's character go through a predictable plotline than be a proud cheater。 Tsuyoshi was a little harder to get a bead on, especially since he wasn't present for the first chapter。 I'd be interested to learn more about him as the series goes on。 Anyways, this volume is a fluffy start to a hopefully very fluffy shojo manga series! 。。。more

This was pretty underwhelming。 The fact that it wasn't queer felt like a bait and switch (why call it Rainbow Days?) and I didn't really like the guy characters。 I found it very strange to include several references to kink/BDSM in what was otherwise a very tame, high-school appropriate story。My biggest issue was that one of the male characters has a female character confess to him that she has feelings for another female student and that she doesn't like men at all。 In response, he kisses her o This was pretty underwhelming。 The fact that it wasn't queer felt like a bait and switch (why call it Rainbow Days?) and I didn't really like the guy characters。 I found it very strange to include several references to kink/BDSM in what was otherwise a very tame, high-school appropriate story。My biggest issue was that one of the male characters has a female character confess to him that she has feelings for another female student and that she doesn't like men at all。 In response, he kisses her out of the blue and she is appropriately disgusted and appalled。 His response is to think her anger is cute/funny and it's never addressed again。 That's pretty heinous behavior and this scene alone is enough that I can't recommend this to anyone。There's also a mini arc at the end where a male character calls another character 'ugly' and it's supposed to be ok because he is showing affection/using it as a term of endearment。The rest of the content was fine, but nothing remarkable。 I will not be purchasing this for my library。 Digital ARC received courtesy of NetGalley。 。。。more

ARC provided by NetGalley! This was a cute story about four friends and their love lives。 It gives me Daily Lives of High School Boys vibes (although Daily Lives is funnier)。 I think overall the story was fine and pretty generic for a manga plot - It is always nice to see boys be friends and have a kind relationship with one another。 I would recommend it to libraries as their students would probably enjoy it。
