Loved ItThis is one of the best in the series。 Finally getting some backstory on The Godmother。 Scary and interesting cliffhanger ending!

The art is just so good! And the way the story has developed has kept me wanting more!!! Can't wait for the next volume after that ending! The art is just so good! And the way the story has developed has kept me wanting more!!! Can't wait for the next volume after that ending! 。。。more

This volume went by in a blink of the eye。 Seriously a short volume with only 166 pages。 Together with the peaking of the plot this truly was a page turner。 To be fair the story is rather simple constructed and the turn of events is very clear。 Nonetheless a good manga that entertains me plenty。 The ghosts are designed so very nicely and I was happy to see a few double page artworks

Best series for 2022

The story continues were volume 5 ended, a confrontation with the gods of the shrine。 Throughout the struggle we get to see Rom and the Godmother's history together。 As earlier volumes a great story, some solid imagery of the things that haunts Miko's day and some good characters。 If I have one complaint is the relatively slow progress of the main story as the arc is still not finished。 Eagerly looking forward to the next volume。 The story continues were volume 5 ended, a confrontation with the gods of the shrine。 Throughout the struggle we get to see Rom and the Godmother's history together。 As earlier volumes a great story, some solid imagery of the things that haunts Miko's day and some good characters。 If I have one complaint is the relatively slow progress of the main story as the arc is still not finished。 Eagerly looking forward to the next volume。 。。。more

Debts must be paid, even ones that you don’t realize you‘ve accrued。 Miko has gone back to save Hana, with Mitsue and Rom in tow, putting her directly in the path of a creature that wants what it’s owed。 But that price is very high and avoiding it, well, that might be higher still…Mieruko-chan is one of those rare series that I think actually got better when it decided to incorporate some long form storytelling into what was basically ‘horror movie imagery with groping baked in’ before。This shri Debts must be paid, even ones that you don’t realize you‘ve accrued。 Miko has gone back to save Hana, with Mitsue and Rom in tow, putting her directly in the path of a creature that wants what it’s owed。 But that price is very high and avoiding it, well, that might be higher still…Mieruko-chan is one of those rare series that I think actually got better when it decided to incorporate some long form storytelling into what was basically ‘horror movie imagery with groping baked in’ before。This shrine storyline has been going for some time now, with Miko’s protectors showing up to save her three times and then revealing themselves to be less than altruistic after they’ve upheld their end of a bargain that Miko didn’t realize she was making。And the way this has secretly been threaded throughout the volumes is pretty spectacular。 Hana’s very desirable energy that was bringing all the spirits to her yard now suddenly becomes crystal clear。We get a ton of flashbacks, as it turns out that the very shady Rom and the elderly fortune-teller Mitsue have a surprising history together (which culminates in one pretty effective parting shot for this volume that is a nicely terrifying cliffhanger that finally lays out the stakes)。Their dynamic works well - Rom has the power, but lacks the experience and is a total snake oil salesman in addition to his abilities。 Mitsue has an overabundance of caution, which blunts the effectiveness of her years of experience。 They make up for one another’s deficiencies when they aren’t at each other’s throats。Miko gets very little to do, honestly, but that’s fine because what she does do involves her doing what she does best and trying to make things right via her methods。 Miko has it rough, we know this, as her abilities let her see things, but that doesn’t mean she can do anything about them。Her desire to be there for Hana puts Miko in phenomenal danger and that makes for a very tense volume。 She’s very much in over her head, heroine of the story or no, and watching as the bell very nearly tolls for her is gripping。 Not that the actual outcome is any better。Speaking of, I love the way this story portrays the unknowable。 The atmosphere is nearly Lovecraftian, minus the fact that nobody goes mad just from interacting with the spirits here。 Actually, this particular section reminds me of nothing less than survival horror classic Fatal Frame II: Crimson Butterfly and that game’s a horror masterpiece so I mean the highest of praise there。On the downside, this is nothing but move and countermove and preparation thereof。 I know that manga loves to draw these things out, and I would in no way say I was bored, but this is a whole volume about story that is not getting resolved until next time out。But that’s a small poke at a great volume of a series that started small and grew big and showed that it actually knew how to handle the change。 I don’t always thing this change is necessary, but when it’s done right it makes for something special and this one gets it right。4 stars - the story parcels itself out very well and the way it draws in the threads it’s been sprinkling throughout is spot on。 Minus the lack of an immediate resolution, this is a very strong volume。 。。。more

。。。私はちょっとアホかもしれないね。今ばっかり気付いた、主人公の名前は「みこ」。彼女が霊力を持つことはちょっと当たり前でしょう?訓練が受けていないから利用方法が分からないから事故で発動する。

Five stars because this volume increased the hype and plot points of this series。 This series is simple。 It doesn’t attract a lot of fans。 But if you’re interested in spirits and all that fun stuff in manga, this is a good fictional series you can get into。 It all has the potatoes and meat that you would normally see in Disney’s Halloween television series, movies, etc。 Manga is well-put together and thought out。 😁

Wow。 It’s one thing after another for poor Miko-chan! The horror doesn’t let up。

This series is so much fun。 I think I really like stories where the main character sees spirits; there are so many avenues to take。 I do want to know more about who that woman was that Romm wanted to save。 And I was worried that the series would culminate with this event。 But I think there is more to see! I hope Miko learns some skills to vanquish the spirits!

I really enjoyed it and I hope that there’s gonna be more volumes
