I loved this book but I have to say it is geared towards someone thst has at least some drawing experience。 It says step-by-step but after the initial shape it jumps ahead to the finished artwork。 And many are left as rough sketches。 For me this was fine and it really helped me visually see the symmetry of the complete artwork during critical stages。I think this book would be fantastic for anyone interested in drawing。 However, it could be greatly enhanced by spending a bit more time in the step I loved this book but I have to say it is geared towards someone thst has at least some drawing experience。 It says step-by-step but after the initial shape it jumps ahead to the finished artwork。 And many are left as rough sketches。 For me this was fine and it really helped me visually see the symmetry of the complete artwork during critical stages。I think this book would be fantastic for anyone interested in drawing。 However, it could be greatly enhanced by spending a bit more time in the steps pertaining to shadow and Light as well as overall shading。 。。。more

If you are a beginner wanting to learn how to draw people, this book delivers what is promised in the description。 The beginning of the book has a brief talk about basics like tools and body proportions with no filler content。 Out of just over 150 pages, the drawing projects start around page 8。 At that point, every other page is a step by step example with the opposite page providing a space for practice。I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review, but If you are a beginner wanting to learn how to draw people, this book delivers what is promised in the description。 The beginning of the book has a brief talk about basics like tools and body proportions with no filler content。 Out of just over 150 pages, the drawing projects start around page 8。 At that point, every other page is a step by step example with the opposite page providing a space for practice。I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review, but my opinions are my own。 。。。more
