I did not expect the stories to turn romantic as much as they did。The short story tempo did not suit me as much this time and I hope that once I start with whole book novels it gets more engaging。Also a note that I was read some of the parts in fever while stuck in bed and sick。。。

Similar to the last wish， very enjoyable fantasy popcorn， a bit corny in place but the basic premise and lore is very easy to get invested in。 Enjoyed the individual stories of the Ice Shard and the golden dragon， overarching plot should set up the main novels very well。 The destiny jargon was a bit much。 Much preferred the climax in this then its counterpart in the first season of the netflix show。

an improvement compared to the first collection of short stories in this series， I greatly preferred this book than I did The Last Wish （despite how long it took me to read it saying otherwise）it still has its uncomfortable moments that make me ask why they had to be included but this book was a much more fun time to read， maybe thanks to the cast alongside Geralt

I can see why Henry Cavill stepped away from whatever Netflix was trying to currupt of this wonder。I loved this collection of Witcher adventures。。。 and am glad that I can read more going forward。 As much as I love to see Henry Cavill in this Iconic role， I will not watch the upcoming third season if the shows are going to continue to diverge from this wonderful work。

I love that I watched the series so I can picture the actors （ in particular the delicious Henry Cavill） in the roles。 Truly loving these books！ And I cannot to read the next one， even if I’m technically circling back to the beginning with Season of Storms。
