This book seems to borrow heavily from V。E。 Schwab’s A Darker Shade of Magic series （which was excellent， by the way）… Main character has same unique nickname— Kel， who also comes to live with a prince from a young age as an employee of sorts， also set in world（s） where magic has been lost， … I’m just saying’…。 Seems a little familiar。 I’m still going to read it， but it’s a little disappointing as a starting point。
