The amount of emotions JKR captures in this book （and whole series really） is absolutely wild！ As always。。 the books > the movies。 And this book might be my favorite of the whole series

Verrrryy slow to start， until about page 700。 The ending was interesting and filled a lot of holes in the story， and was heartwarming。 Would have been better with about 400 less pages to start the book :）

OPINIA DOTYCZĄCA JAKOŚCI WYDANIA ILUSTROWANEGONie miałam zamiaru dodawać osobnej opinii do wersji ilustrowanej tej książki， ale po jej przeglądnięciu MUSZĘ。 Szczególnie， że nie da się jej obejrzeć w księgarni （zafoliowana）， a okładka kusi。Pierwsze cztery tomy udało mi się przeczytać PO RAZ PIERWSZY w wersji ilustrowanej i wspaniale to wspominam。 Grubość kolejnych tomów wywołała obsuwę， szczególnie sporą （dodatkowy rok） przy Zakonie。 Jakby tego było mało - cena papieru poszybowała w górę。 Efektem OPINIA DOTYCZĄCA JAKOŚCI WYDANIA ILUSTROWANEGONie miałam zamiaru dodawać osobnej opinii do wersji ilustrowanej tej książki， ale po jej przeglądnięciu MUSZĘ。 Szczególnie， że nie da się jej obejrzeć w księgarni （zafoliowana）， a okładka kusi。Pierwsze cztery tomy udało mi się przeczytać PO RAZ PIERWSZY w wersji ilustrowanej i wspaniale to wspominam。 Grubość kolejnych tomów wywołała obsuwę， szczególnie sporą （dodatkowy rok） przy Zakonie。 Jakby tego było mało - cena papieru poszybowała w górę。 Efektem jest już nie to co dostaliśmy w pierwszych tomach （czwarty już zaczynał kuleć pod względem ilości ilustracji）。 Piąty tom to niestety ogromny zawód。 Jakoś papieru nie jest inna niż w poprzednich tomach - jest DRAMATYCZNIE gorsza。 Strony są bardzo cieniutkie。 Gdyby tak wydawano od początku pewnie nikt nie zwrócił by większej uwagi， ale w tej sytuacji - różnica jest bardzo odczuwalna。 I tak jak to mogłabym przeżyć - rozumiejąc sytuację na rynku i grubość tej części - tak ilości ilustracji już nie przeżyje。Drodzy moi， to wydanie ma 565 stron。 Pełnostronicowych ilustracji （w tym rozkładówek liczonych jako jedna ilustracja） jest ok。 10-13。 Nie więcej。 Co gorsze， byłam przekonana， że część z tych znanych nam już obrazków sporządził nowy， dokooptowany przy tej części rysownik， bo tak bardzo były inne？ niedopracowane？ Okazało się， że NIE （ten drugi osobnik zajął się ozdobnikami przy tytułach rozdziałów， na marginesach， w tle itd）。 To nadal wszystko ilustracje Kay'a！！ Nie wiem czy ja coś źle pamiętam， ale nie tak to wyglądało w poprzednich tomach。 Na te kilka ilustracji może 3-4 były naprawdę świetne。 Reszta - jakby komuś zabrakło czasu， bo to jednak nie kwestia tego， że namalował to ktoś inny。 Pozostałe ilustracje - których nadal jest niewiele - to te w tle tekstu lub na połowie strony。 Znów nie jest ich zbyt wiele i dla mnie to nie to samo。 Rysownicy， i siłą rzeczy wydawca， poszli w kolorowe strony z jakąś tam teksturą + dodatki na marginesach/w tle。 Tego jest aż za dużo。 Wielka szkoda， że tak to wyszło， bo w końcu w tym wydaniu chodzi przede wszystkim o ilustracje。Jak ktoś ma zamiar kupić to tylko gdy bardzo， BARDZO chce i potrzebuje do kompletu， bo cena niemała （okładkowa 150 zł; ja sama zapłaciłabym i 2x tyle gdybym miała gwarancję， że będzie taka sama jakość i tyle ilustracji co w pierwszych tomach）。 Jak komuś nie bardzo zależy by mieć to wydanie na półce w całości to lepiej ograniczyć się do trzech pierwszych tomów i nie psuć sobie wrażenia dalszymi。 。。。more

This is my least favorite of the series but I still give it five stars because even my least favorite is still beautifully written。 The grief that Harry experiences in this book is heart-wrenching and written with great accuracy and tenderness。

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it， click here。 You know， I think I maybe like the movie of this book more。 Harry is just so miserable that I’m miserable being in his head so much。 I was so excited to hear more about the DA， but so many of the scenes were just like vaguely mentioned or passed over。 And I love Luna， but everyone， even the main characters， are so mean to her that it made me uncomfortable。 Sirius is also kind of annoying in this book。 Remus is a perfect daddy as usual though。 Loml。 I wish we got more Marauders content in this on You know， I think I maybe like the movie of this book more。 Harry is just so miserable that I’m miserable being in his head so much。 I was so excited to hear more about the DA， but so many of the scenes were just like vaguely mentioned or passed over。 And I love Luna， but everyone， even the main characters， are so mean to her that it made me uncomfortable。 Sirius is also kind of annoying in this book。 Remus is a perfect daddy as usual though。 Loml。 I wish we got more Marauders content in this one。 The way he reacts to Sirius’s death is honestly heartbreaking。 Also， if I were Harry and I realized I had that mirror to talk to Sirius all the time after he dies and Harry is tricked I would actually kill myself。 I did like the additional exposition and background you get about Harry and Neville and the prophecy and Voldemort。 And Ginny and Neville were great characters in this book。 Also， I weirdly loved all the drama with Harry and Cho。 They were just so silly， goofy。 15 year olds trying to date lmao。 Every scene with McGonagall and Umbridge was so good。 And Fred and George v。 Umbrage was also awesome。 My new pet peeve is how silly some of the spells are in this series。 It’s one thing to learn about them in class， but why are the death eaters throwing spells that make a person’s legs do an uncontrollable jigs。 It made the battle of the department of mysteries seem ridiculous。 My other pet peeve is that Harry doesn’t become the DADA professor。 He would be perfect for that job， and he doesn’t even consider it when he’s doing career talks and research。 This is the last of the books I’ve read before， so I’m excited to get some totally new content with the last two books。 。。。more

I decided to reread this book since I haven’t read it since I was ten。 I definitely had a different perspective from before because now that I’m older than Harry instead of younger than him， it’s kind of messed up to me that a little baby sophomore had to deal with everything that went on in this book。 It was funny to see him interact with Cho Chang because I didn’t realize how oblivious he was to her flirting when I was younger and barely sentient。 I also found it unrealistic how easily Umbridg I decided to reread this book since I haven’t read it since I was ten。 I definitely had a different perspective from before because now that I’m older than Harry instead of younger than him， it’s kind of messed up to me that a little baby sophomore had to deal with everything that went on in this book。 It was funny to see him interact with Cho Chang because I didn’t realize how oblivious he was to her flirting when I was younger and barely sentient。 I also found it unrealistic how easily Umbridge got away with being a tyrant because at least a few parents would Karen out about how unfairly she was treating her students。 Overall， I still enjoyed this book a lot even if I felt that the writing was a little unrealistic。 I enjoyed the plot and it was fun to reread， so I would definitely recommend this。 。。。more
