Summary

When Bee Hobbes takes the lead in a squeaky-clean romantic Christmas movie, there are only three rules:

1。 Don’t get involved with anyone on set。
2。 Don’t tell anyone what you do for a living。
3。 Definitely don’t get involved with anyone on set。
3b。 Seriously。

Now, she’s filming in Christmas Notch, a small town with Christmas trees and festive tunes all year round。

But Bee’s got a secret identity to hide, and it’s not family-friendly。 And her co-star, Nolan Shaw, an ex-boyband member infamous for his own x-rated antics, not only knows it, but is secretly her biggest fan。

When things start to heat up on set, Bee and Nolan must keep this steamy affair under wraps, or risk ruining everything 。 。 。

A história aqui é bem clichêzona e não tem nada de mais, mas eu me diverti tanto com o audiobook que dei 5 estrelas e favoritei e é sobre isso。 Nunca vou superar essa collab aleatória, mas só sei que quero mais delas。

Not quite what I was expecting for a cosy Christmas read and I didn’t immediately warm to any of the characters I have to admit。 For some reason it didn’t quite reach the mark for me, but with any Christmas book, I always love the Christmas vibes and the concept for the story was a clever one。 We all watch Christmas movies each year, and it was a clever spin to include a plot of festive movie making。 I did breeze in and out of it and some parts held my attention more than others。 It’s fab for re Not quite what I was expecting for a cosy Christmas read and I didn’t immediately warm to any of the characters I have to admit。 For some reason it didn’t quite reach the mark for me, but with any Christmas book, I always love the Christmas vibes and the concept for the story was a clever one。 We all watch Christmas movies each year, and it was a clever spin to include a plot of festive movie making。 I did breeze in and out of it and some parts held my attention more than others。 It’s fab for representation all round so it’s great if you’re looking for that mixed with a Christmas spin, it’s worth a read/ a listen。 The audiobook I listened to was great and really easy to listen to。 But all in all it was okay but not quite my jam。 Thank you to the author and publisher on NetGalley for this book in return for my honest thoughts and review。 。。。more

She’s afraid of anyone finds out she’ll loose this chance to break into mainstream films。 What she was not prepared for was her teenage dream of a costar is one her biggest fans! How will this all play out, and will both of their past come crashing down on the set in picture perfect Christmas Notch Vermont。 I LOVED THIS BOOK! 。。。more

I thought this holiday romance was pretty good, maybe a little too long for my taste and some of the tension really shouldn't have been tension at all。 Like dude, literally just tell your director you're worried about your mom and your sister the first time you take a phone call at an inopportune time。 I thought this holiday romance was pretty good, maybe a little too long for my taste and some of the tension really shouldn't have been tension at all。 Like dude, literally just tell your director you're worried about your mom and your sister the first time you take a phone call at an inopportune time。 。。。more

I will read anything these two write。 Usually I am not into Christmas books but this got me in the mood to watch Hallmark movies about Christmas immediately。Also, I love the body-positivity and the sex-positivity, the writing, the characters and the storyline。 I want to meet these people in real life and invite them over for Christmas lunch … and dinner … and breakfast。

The characters don't meet till 40 pages in。The chapter switched povs, but each chapter featured heavy amounts of internal monologue and there was no difference between the characters in the tone of the monologue。 The characters don't meet till 40 pages in。The chapter switched povs, but each chapter featured heavy amounts of internal monologue and there was no difference between the characters in the tone of the monologue。 。。。more

I thought this might be the fast-paced cutesy book I needed to get me out of my reading slump, but unfortunately, it was not。 I ended up skimming the last 40% of the book。 It was about 100+ pages too long and surprisingly dry in the middle。 We all knew how it was going to end, so why did we take so long to get there? This book was also incredibly repetitive, and I would not recommend。

Kristyna

This book was as entertaining and as predictable as a hallmark movie。 Good enough but not great。

this was not what i was expecting at all (no fault of my own because i did not read the description first lol) but it was so much fun!! a very good combo of spicy!!!!! and sweet and perfect for the holidays!!! living for the one direction call out too!!!!

O livro é divertido em alguns momentos, mas no geral achei tudo muito raso。 O relacionamento dos personagens e o desenvolvimento deles ficou bem aquém do que poderia ser, especialmente considerando a história e o background de cada um。

This is a book I have a lot of mixed feelings on so here's a pros and cons list。Pros:- Sex positive!- Body positive!- Bisexual disasters- Totally unique and fun premiseCons:- These characters are dumb。 Did they really think nobody who watches Christmas movies also watches *ahem* adult films?- The characters didn't connect enough。- This was steamy, but I expected more。 The sex scenes felt pretty basic。Ultimately this is 3。5/5。 I had a lot of fun, but didn't love the characters and the choices the This is a book I have a lot of mixed feelings on so here's a pros and cons list。Pros:- Sex positive!- Body positive!- Bisexual disasters- Totally unique and fun premiseCons:- These characters are dumb。 Did they really think nobody who watches Christmas movies also watches *ahem* adult films?- The characters didn't connect enough。- This was steamy, but I expected more。 The sex scenes felt pretty basic。Ultimately this is 3。5/5。 I had a lot of fun, but didn't love the characters and the choices they made。 。。。more

I loved this book so much! When I checked out this book, I did so just based on the cover and Julie Murphy as an author。 When I finally went to read the book and opened the front cover I burst into laughter over the premise and it was a funny, fast, spicy read from there。 Welcome to Hopeflix, the heartwarming streaming service that brings you all the best, chaste, holiday movies。 Teddy is trying to branch over from porn to more mainstream media when his plans go into disarray because of a festival in the desert。 Missing h When I checked out this book, I did so just based on the cover and Julie Murphy as an author。 When I finally went to read the book and opened the front cover I burst into laughter over the premise and it was a funny, fast, spicy read from there。 Welcome to Hopeflix, the heartwarming streaming service that brings you all the best, chaste, holiday movies。 Teddy is trying to branch over from porn to more mainstream media when his plans go into disarray because of a festival in the desert。 Missing his shining star, Teddy inadvertently gives the director his folder with all his best adult actresses and Gretchen is taken with Bee, or as some know her, Bianca Von Honey。 Now Bee and Teddy have to pull off a Christmas miracle - make a cute romcom and don't let their identities be revealed。 That might be better said than done though when Bee steps on set and straight into Nolan Shaw, her biggest fan。 What's a former bad boy, boyband member to do when the girl of his dreams is his new leading lady? This book was such a funny read, I couldn't put it down once I started。 But reader be warned, this isn't the holiday read for your mom - or maybe it is if your mom is anything like Bee's moms。 。。。more

A Merry Little Meet Cute very much hits the nail on the head for what it wanted to be: a sex positive, graphically sexual romance that is one hundred percent as cheesy as a Hallmark Christmas movie。 For me, the tone of the book didn't really jive, but that's totally a personal taste thing, and it doesn't undercut that this was absolutely the goal。 I think this is going to be wonderful and funny for the right reader。 Also on a purely personal level, there are a couple of phrases used over and ove A Merry Little Meet Cute very much hits the nail on the head for what it wanted to be: a sex positive, graphically sexual romance that is one hundred percent as cheesy as a Hallmark Christmas movie。 For me, the tone of the book didn't really jive, but that's totally a personal taste thing, and it doesn't undercut that this was absolutely the goal。 I think this is going to be wonderful and funny for the right reader。 Also on a purely personal level, there are a couple of phrases used over and over that jarred me out of the book repeatedly: 1) "a porn" used in place of "a porno" or "porn" or "a porn movie" (I've never heard anyone say "a porn" outside of an episode of ANTM, and my boyfriend and I joke about that scene。 Maybe that is how industry people talk about a porn, but idk。) and 2) "filling the condom" which for whatever reason just makes me shudder (there's literally nothing wrong with this, but I hate it haha)。So yeah, if a raunchy Hallmark Christmas movie that's got all the cheese but also cunts and cocks sounds amazing to you, then this is your book, and I hope you find it。 。。。more

DNF at 53%。 Stars for the cover because it is absolutely adorable, so I thought the book would be too? I didn’t read the synopsis…and well that’s my fault。 It was mostly just lust driven…and I didn’t feel any romance。 Raunchier than I usually read, and honestly it would’ve been ok if I felt the characters actually had a connection。 It didn’t feel romantic or Christmasy。

I enjoyed the novelty of this book and some hot scenes between the MCs。 My issues are typical ones for me in contemporary romance: lack of communication and ultra quick reconciliation。 I know it isn’t supposed to be realistic, but I just didn’t buy the ending。

Gina DiBenedetto

I enjoyed this! It was a fun holiday romance with spice which is always nice。 I loved this aspect of a filming a movie and the MCs are a pop star and a porn star。 it’s just good。 it wasn’t something that I absolutely loved, but it was a fun read。 i was bored in some parts, but that’s just me personally。 i liked how obsessed they are with each other though that was fun to read。 i don’t know much else to say because it was pretty average for me。

A plus-size porn star and her childhood pop star crush (who has secretly watched her videos for years) become lead costars in a family-friendly, holiday romance movie。。。sounds like the start of a joke, right? The Murphy book I read and loved (If the Shoe Fits) had a great romance and plot, but lacked steam; the Simone book I recently read (Priest) had fantastic steam but was lacking a bit of romance build-up for me personally。 Put these two authors together, and they were able to perfectly balance the cute, romantic moments with some smutty goodness! I had a great time listening to this on audio (you can't go wrong with Sebastian York, and Joy Nash also did a wonderful job)。 I really appreciated the sex and body positivity, as well as the queer and fat representation。 I will admit that while the first half had me absolutely hooked, the second half started to drag just a tiny bit, due to more focus on the drama resulting from their relationship being found out by the press and causing a third act conflict。 However, I LOVED that *mild spoiler* the hero didn't expect the heroine to stop her sex work career, so long as she was emotionally exclusive with him, and it was HER making the choice to expand her career to other avenues。 I found that SUPER refreshing, as other sex work romances I've read always end with one partner expecting the other to stop engaging in sex work without hesitation。 Overall, A Merry Little Meet Cute was, indeed, a merry and cute read, and I recommend this to anyone who is looking for a fun Christmas romance with a bit of extra steam!Tropes Included:~Christmas romance~fat/plus-size heroine~LGBTQIA+ rep (both MCs are bisexual)~sex work~famous MCs~forced proximity (costars)~workplace romanceTWs for slut-shaming and fatphobia 。。。more

Loved this! As someone who has a lot of friends in Sex Work, and who lives in a curvy body, I was honestly a little hesitant about what direction this book was going to take with Bee/Bianca。 I was pleasantly surprised by several moments in the book, and by the overall sex positive messaging。 Can’t wait for the next in this series!

I wanted to like this book。 I mean, how cute is the cover? It just fell a little flat to me。 None of the characters had much depth。 Sunny is an obnoxious best friend, but I liked Nolan’s story line。 Overall, this was just a “meh” for me。 I’ll give it an extra 1/2 star for the spice。

Hallmark channel vibes but make it extremely spicy with a couple of disaster bisexuals。 10/10。 No notes
