Summary

Can you keep a secret?

I grew up sick。⁣

Let me clarify。⁣

I grew up believing that real love stories include a martyr or demand great sacrifice to be worthy。⁣

Because of that, I believed it, because I made myself believe it, and I bred the most masochistic of romantic hearts, which resulted in my illness。⁣

When I lived this story, my own twisted fairy tale, it was unbeknownst to me at the time because I was young and naïve。 I gave into temptation and fed the beating beast, which grew thirstier with every slash, every strike, every blow。⁣

Triple Falls wasn’t at all what it seemed, nor were the men that swept me under their wing。 But in order to keep them, I had to be in on their secrets。⁣

Secrets that cost us everything to keep。⁣

That’s the novelty of fiction versus reality。 You can’t re-live your own love story, because by the time you’ve realized you’re living it, it’s over。 At least that was the case for me and the men I trusted my foolish heart to。⁣

Looking back, I’m convinced I willed my story into existence due to my illness。⁣

And all were punished。

This book changed me a little bit。 It has happend to me before。 Every few years you read a book that takes a small part of you as a tribute。 Flock (and the other two parts of the Ravenhood series) is such a book。 You read it and it changes you。 At the same time, while the story is not unoriginal, it's not completely new either。 Flock in no way prepares the reader for what awaits him/her in the next two books。 It begins quietly and slowly。 The story builds and you are immersed in a world of crazy This book changed me a little bit。 It has happend to me before。 Every few years you read a book that takes a small part of you as a tribute。 Flock (and the other two parts of the Ravenhood series) is such a book。 You read it and it changes you。 At the same time, while the story is not unoriginal, it's not completely new either。 Flock in no way prepares the reader for what awaits him/her in the next two books。 It begins quietly and slowly。 The story builds and you are immersed in a world of crazy emotions, typical bad boy image guys and incredibly fascinating people。 Kate knows how to draw her characters。 From the outward appearance to the inner turmoil, you have a clear picture before your eyes。 You want to make friends right away。 Before you have put the first book out of your hands, the second is already in the other hand。 。。。more

WHAT A RIDE!!! I completely DEVOURED this book! I’m completely obsessed with all of the characters。 The men are incredible & the story is just AHHH! Some spice but more plot than spice, which I’m here for。 Definitely have the rest of the series ready to go because that cliffhanger is brutal! Starting Exodus now!

What a wild ride! I went in blind only knowing that this series has the potential to destroy me… I’m slowly understanding how… I couldn’t put this book down and I’m eager to read the next book!Everything about this book was captivating and overwhelming。

Personally I really liked aspects of this book。 The ideas were there, and they were executed pretty well。 The characters were alright, there were moments where I hated them, and moments where I could empathise。 It was a nice time-waster if you will。 It wasn’t BAD but it wasn’t GOOD either。 I told myself I’d only read book one as I’d been spoiled on what happened in book two。 I read up on what happens next and I won’t be reading the rest of the series。 Book one is the best you’re going to get。 Yo Personally I really liked aspects of this book。 The ideas were there, and they were executed pretty well。 The characters were alright, there were moments where I hated them, and moments where I could empathise。 It was a nice time-waster if you will。 It wasn’t BAD but it wasn’t GOOD either。 I told myself I’d only read book one as I’d been spoiled on what happened in book two。 I read up on what happens next and I won’t be reading the rest of the series。 Book one is the best you’re going to get。 You could probably read this as a standalone until maybe the last chapter or so。 。。。more

This is like den of vipers but maybe even worse。 Absolutely not plot, I didn’t give a shit about the secret and it wasn’t even that shocking either。 I was so ready to DNF 80 pages in。 Cecilia or whatever her name is literally fell in love with Sean after like 2 dates because he was a “real man” like girl get yourself together pls。 I hated all the characters except (maybe) Dominic。 Cecilia would always immediately forgive them for anything they did no matter how bad。 She literally couldn’t hold o This is like den of vipers but maybe even worse。 Absolutely not plot, I didn’t give a shit about the secret and it wasn’t even that shocking either。 I was so ready to DNF 80 pages in。 Cecilia or whatever her name is literally fell in love with Sean after like 2 dates because he was a “real man” like girl get yourself together pls。 I hated all the characters except (maybe) Dominic。 Cecilia would always immediately forgive them for anything they did no matter how bad。 She literally couldn’t hold on to her anger for more than 2 seconds。 And don’t get me started on when Sean broke her apple watch because he doesn’t believe in time and technology shit but continues to use his phone because it’s “important”? What?? The “secret” was not even that big of a deal in my opinion。 I don’t know why they kept her in the dark for so long because she literally has no relationship with her father。 And some parts were so damn confusing like who is the frenchman and why is he important? Actually scratch that I don’t care。 I’m not continuing this series。 This was 4 hours I’m never getting back。 。。。more

I picked this book up at random not knowing what to expect or having any expectations at all。 It definitely encourages open-minded thinking and has some twist and turns that I had not been exposed to in any of my previous literary journeys。

Gaslighting Masked As RomanceThis book was recommended…somewhere。 It may have had warnings I missed。 I hold my hand up to say that。 The gaslighting, deceit, and quite frankly abuse is disgusting。 Most might find it all terribly romantic。 Two men。 Turning the tables on an incredibly naive young girl。 There are beautiful moments and Cee is really a hot mess in her head full of judgement…but how these men shift the blame while claiming altruism? Sorry。 No way。 This whole story reeks of insanity。

This book was 80% smut and 20% plot。 I was disappointed that as soon as the storyline picked up the book was over。 Intrigued enough to consider reading book two but I wasn’t blown away by this one。

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it, click here。 i heard many good things about this book and it did not disappoint。 this book had me wishing i was Cece with these two men。 i loved how Dom and Sean were polar opposites! the sun and the rain if you will… and i liked how they each showed they cared in different ways。 Do i hate them for breaking her heart and using her at first…absolutely。。 Do i hope there is a happy ending somewhere in the next books…absolutely
