Summary

It's more than a book—it's a mask! Every spread includes a funny fact about featured creatures, from bears to robots。 And young readers will squeal in surprise to find that when this board book is opened, the eye-sized die-cuts allow each spread to become a mask! Kids will have a blast posing as a fly-eating frog or a mouse-chasing cat。 Sure to be a hit during both story time and playtime!

Every page turned offers both a fun fact about an animal & a mask to peer thru。 Great fun for babies & toddlers。

It’s a cute interactive book for the 0-3 age range。 My son loves perk-a-boo so he was into it。 I tickle him on the tickle monster page and flick my tongue like a frogs on the frog page and he gets a kick out of it。

Uh。。。 this one was a bit of a miss for me。 First of all, I didn't realize you were supposed to look through it, like a mask, which looked。。。 weird- I think the holes aren't big enough for that。 Secondly, I thought I was supposed to stick fingers through the holes, and thought it was a weird, alien-looking animal experience。 The art is very cute, but the peekaboo aspect was lost on me。 Uh。。。 this one was a bit of a miss for me。 First of all, I didn't realize you were supposed to look through it, like a mask, which looked。。。 weird- I think the holes aren't big enough for that。 Secondly, I thought I was supposed to stick fingers through the holes, and thought it was a weird, alien-looking animal experience。 The art is very cute, but the peekaboo aspect was lost on me。 。。。more

My little one loves to play peekaboo and this beautifully illustrated board book by the Japanese author & illustrator has become a new favourite in our home。 With minimal text, each page is a different peekaboo mask with fun characters including a robot, cat, bear and frog。 This book is really good fun!Photos of the book can be reviewed on my website。 http://www。thelittlestlibrary。com/rev。。。 My little one loves to play peekaboo and this beautifully illustrated board book by the Japanese author & illustrator has become a new favourite in our home。 With minimal text, each page is a different peekaboo mask with fun characters including a robot, cat, bear and frog。 This book is really good fun!Photos of the book can be reviewed on my website。 http://www。thelittlestlibrary。com/rev。。。 。。。more

This book is so fun! There are holes drilled through it, so when you open it up to see the pictures, you can look through them。 Your eyes become the eyes of the frog, robot, bear, whatever! Cute for toddler storytimes。

The book turns into a mask through which you can play Peekaboo。 Brilliant! Winifred gives it 5 stars。

My 14 month old is rarely interested in looking at books for very long but he really liked the holes and the animals in this one。

I love this book。 The eyes are cut out so that each page can be a mask。 My one-year-old loves it! Books like this help to make reading fun!

This book is a lot of fun to read with your toddler。 They have fun putting their eyes behind the wholes and pretending to see from there。 Also it's fun to pretend to be all the different animals! This gets so much better when your nails are painted。

Straightforward and brief, yet cute。 There's a lot of room for embellishment here, whether it's describing other things that the cast of characters do or making sounds representing each。 And the book itself doubles as a mask! Think mask meets board book。 Each two page spread features 2 die cut holes so readers can look out through the face of the creature being presented。I really like the idea, but the execution was a little freaky for me。 This book is sure to have a great many fans, but it was only okay for me。 Recommended for babies and toddlers。

This book was a simple cute read。 With little holes for the eyes of each character, the kids had fun looking through being in the story。 Hands down favorite was putting thumbs in the monsters eyes and playing tickle。

Peekaboo! By Taro Gomi is a creative and adorable starter book for young children。 It is a board book that introduces children to various animals。 Each page is dedication to a different animal, and on the left page there is a brief sentence about what the animal does, and on the right page there is a sentence saying what type of animal it is。 There is also large illustrations in the middle of the two sentences that has cut outs for the eyes so the reader can put the book up to their face and pre Peekaboo! Peekaboo is a cute, creative, starter book for younger readers。 It has cut outs to keep children/students interested in the book。 There are very few words on each page, however, it does discuss normal traits of whichever character appears on the page。 For example "I eat flies, I am a frog。" This book can be used as a starter book in the classroom and is very creative! Very young readers will love reading this board book and peeking through the two holes in order to view the world from the perspective of the animals。 A sentence characterizing the animal (or something else) is provided on the left-hand page, and then the animal is identified on the right-hand page。 Readers will quickly identify a bear, a cat, a penguin, and others through the simple text and boldly-colored illustrations。
