Summary

Opposites certainly attract for the stranded pop star and small-town baker in this charming slice of romance from the author of the TikTok sensation The Cheat Sheet

Amelia Rose, known as Rae Rose to her adoring fans, is burned-out from years of maintaining her "princess of pop" image。 Inspired by her favorite Audrey Hepburn film, Roman Holiday, she drives off in the middle of the night for a break in Rome 。 。 。 Rome, Kentucky, that is。

When Noah Walker finds Amelia on his front lawn in her broken-down car, he makes it clear he doesn't have the time or patience for celebrity problems。 He's too busy running the pie shop his grandmother left him and reminding his nosy but lovable neighbors to mind their own damn business。 Despite his better judgment, he lets her stay in his guest room--but only until her car is fixed--then she's on her own。

Then Noah starts to see a different side of Rae Rose--she's Amelia: kindhearted and goofy, yet lonely from years in the public eye。 He can't help but get close to her。 Soon she'll have to return to her glamorous life on tour, but until then, Noah will show Amelia all the charming small-town experiences she's been missing, and she'll help him open his heart to more。

Amelia can't resist falling for the cozy town and her grumpy tour guide, but even Audrey had to leave Rome eventually。

Super cute zingy rom-com perfect for November。 🥰 Loved Amelia, loved Noah, loved the small town, loved the sisters/family, & love them all together! CW: closed door scenes & very mild language!

Easy, light romcom。 Perfect for when you want a story but don't want to think too hard I think it's so funny that the grumpy love interest has no wifi or cell phone in 2022。 Easy, light romcom。 Perfect for when you want a story but don't want to think too hard I think it's so funny that the grumpy love interest has no wifi or cell phone in 2022。 。。。more

It’s been a second since I read a rom com let alone a Sarah adams romance。 But oh my gosh this one was so good。 I definitely prefer it over the cheat sheet。 We have Amelia and Noah。 Amelia is this pop star who’s had enough with her demanding life。 Noah is a baker in Rome, who has a rough history in the relationship department。 Despite all of that you can tell these two have an instant connection。 While reading this the cute scenes made me so happy, the lake and how Noah pushed Amelia。 The fact t It’s been a second since I read a rom com let alone a Sarah adams romance。 But oh my gosh this one was so good。 I definitely prefer it over the cheat sheet。 We have Amelia and Noah。 Amelia is this pop star who’s had enough with her demanding life。 Noah is a baker in Rome, who has a rough history in the relationship department。 Despite all of that you can tell these two have an instant connection。 While reading this the cute scenes made me so happy, the lake and how Noah pushed Amelia。 The fact that he reads to her at night, then going to see Noah’s grandma。 This was such a good read :) 。。。more

A beautiful book。After reading Sarah Adams Cheat Sheet, I was very excited to read her newest release。 This book was everything I wanted and more。Amelia is a pop star who runs away from her superstar life and stumbles into the path of grumpy given up on love Noah。 Sarah Adams knows how to write a male character and build the chemistry up between the 2 characters。 This book is worth the read and I couldn't put it down。 Now to find more Sarah Adams books to read :) A beautiful book。After reading Sarah Adams Cheat Sheet, I was very excited to read her newest release。 This book was everything I wanted and more。Amelia is a pop star who runs away from her superstar life and stumbles into the path of grumpy given up on love Noah。 Sarah Adams knows how to write a male character and build the chemistry up between the 2 characters。 This book is worth the read and I couldn't put it down。 Now to find more Sarah Adams books to read :) 。。。more

This book was a delight to read! If you like romcoms then this is a romcom that you need to read。 Our story begins with Amelia driving in the night to Rome Kentucky。 She ends up on Noah’s front lawn。 He convinces her to stay at his house and from there our story begins。 There were some funny moments in this book that had me laughing。 I found in my reading of this that Nick and Amelia learn to open themselves up to another person and throughout her stay they form a connection。 Side Note: I loved This book was a delight to read! "To me you're Amelia。 Maker of shitty pancakes and smile that rivals the sun。 All I want is you" Este libro me ha encantado 。 No le pongo las 5 estrellas porque con esta autora siempre tengo la sensación de que termina muy rápido sus libros, me ha faltado 20 páginas más。 Aún así, la historia es preciosa y me gustado muchísimo。 Súper recomendable si buscáis un libro soft, con muchos momentos cuquis, small town, y con el cliche de ella famosa。 "To me you're Amelia。 Maker of shitty pancakes and smile that rivals the sun。 All I want is you" Este libro me ha encantado 。 No le pongo las 5 estrellas porque con esta autora siempre tengo la sensación de que termina muy rápido sus libros, me ha faltado 20 páginas más。 Aún así, la historia es preciosa y me gustado muchísimo。 Súper recomendable si buscáis un libro soft, con muchos momentos cuquis, small town, y con el cliche de ella famosa。 。。。more

This slow- burn, sweet romance is full of funny and interesting characters that make a beautiful book very entertaining。 The outlandishness of the situation of a famous artist finding herself in the middle of a small town and finding her soulmate would make you think that this is a far fetched tale but the author brings all aspects of this story together seamlessly and injects so much chemistry and emption into the story that as the pages turn you find yourself thinking less about the reality of This slow- burn, sweet romance is full of funny and interesting characters that make a beautiful book very entertaining。 The outlandishness of the situation of a famous artist finding herself in the middle of a small town and finding her soulmate would make you think that this is a far fetched tale but the author brings all aspects of this story together seamlessly and injects so much chemistry and emption into the story that as the pages turn you find yourself thinking less about the reality of it all and more about getting to know these characters better and hoping they get their happy ending, it really makes you emotionally invested in the journey and the outcome。 Also, Noah is incredibly dreamy so, seriously, what’s not to like? 。。。more

I loved it with every single fiber of my being。 I admit I had to look past Amelia's poor attempts at pitying herself to truly love this book - just like with A Million Kisses in Your Lifetime the "poor us rich people" theme doesn't go well with me, especially when there are so many people in this world with problems, and trauma, and inability to get out of poverty, feed themselves or remove themselves from shitty situations。 So seeing Amelia "struggle" was a bit oh, look at you, poor rich star。 I loved it with every single fiber of my being。 I admit I had to look past Amelia's poor attempts at pitying herself to truly love this book - just like with A Million Kisses in Your Lifetime the "poor us rich people" theme doesn't go well with me, especially when there are so many people in this world with problems, and trauma, and inability to get out of poverty, feed themselves or remove themselves from shitty situations。 So seeing Amelia "struggle" was a bit oh, look at you, poor rich star。 But, it does not deter from the fact that the book is a banger - the love story is spectacular in its pining and pace, the longing, the surly turned mushy man, and even Amelia's journey of self-discovery was simply perfect。 I loved the narration, the side characters, how the story and the townspeople made me laugh and smile throughout, how the drama is woven into the story instead of following a harrowing arc that keeps repeating itself in every single romance book I read。 Their awareness of each other and mutual pining is superb, how they try to keep apart until they no longer can, how their issues are addressed and resolved throughout the book, how the side characters are round and help them get to the end instead of staying on the sidelines as one-dimensional supporters。 Noah's sisters are a blast (and deserving of their own books) and their growth incredible to read。Then again, I may be biased because I had a major epiphany while reading this book on how I've been keeping relationships at bay not to get hurt, and yeah it may have been the therapy, ect。。。 but a big, big part of it was actually getting to read this book, this relationship, see their issues play out and how they come out of this book being different, better people。 It changed me, and I loved it for it, and it's probably one of the best romance books I've ever read, and definitely the best of the year。 Thank you, Sarah Adams! 。。。more

Super cute and fluffy story yet the characters had a lot of dimension and grew a lot over the course of the book。 I love small-town romances and both characters' backstories were interesting and served the plot, however, the storyline were slightly cliché。 The slow burn was written really well, but after a while, I was waiting for Noah and Amelia to become a couple earlier in the book so we could see their relationship grow more and have the perks of being official。 Overall When in Rome was an e Super cute and fluffy story yet the characters had a lot of dimension and grew a lot over the course of the book。 I love small-town romances and both characters' backstories were interesting and served the plot, however, the storyline were slightly cliché。 The slow burn was written really well, but after a while, I was waiting for Noah and Amelia to become a couple earlier in the book so we could see their relationship grow more and have the perks of being official。 Overall When in Rome was an enjoyable read and I would recommend reading it! 。。。more

When in Rome is such a cute read! It’s a modern take on the Audrey Hepburn movie Roman Holiday (which we’ve never seen) and it had us smiling the whole time。 We are suckers for a grumpy male lead and a unique meet cute so this book checked all the boxes。 Noah is guarded for good reason as he doesn’t want another out of towner coming in and breaking his heart。 But it’s hard not to fall in love with the woman who crashed into his life and is now suddenly sharing his home。 Amelia is looking to esca When in Rome is such a cute read! Why did it take me so long to read this???? I’m obsessed。 It’s grumpy x sunshine, small town romance, allllll the good stuff!! Is it similar to other books I’ve read and pretty predictable? Sure, but Sarah Adams had a way of keeping me intrigued the whole time。 Noah was everything you want in a small town grump and Amelia’s character arc was everything you hoped for。 Def recommend!

I’m enjoying Sarah’s books a lot。 Fun little rom coms。

Where do I even start。 I loved this book more than I thought I would。 I’ll be honest, when I picked it up I thought this was going to be your typical cliché romantic but it was much more。 I loved how the book touched on mental health and how it we can sometimes attach ourselves to a particular image in order to protect ourselves or maybe I’m looking a little too deep into it。 Hands down my favorite character in this book was Mrs。 Mabel。 I think we all need her in our lives。
