Love opening the pages and being a part of the March family。 Allowing my self to be each of the women as I see fit through words that delight senses。

Little Women is so great。 I always love rereading this book because it just brings great comfort。 I finished it in a day, and I'm so glad I did。 The comfort that the March sisters have when you're bored and alone is just so great and endearing。 It brings you back to times that were just simpler。 Everyone sees themselves in one of the sisters and I think that's great。 Even though we're meant to root for Jo's feminist independence, we also want Meg to happy with her more conventional marriage。 The Little Women is so great。 I always love rereading this book because it just brings great comfort。 I finished it in a day, and I'm so glad I did。 The comfort that the March sisters have when you're bored and alone is just so great and endearing。 It brings you back to times that were just simpler。 Everyone sees themselves in one of the sisters and I think that's great。 Even though we're meant to root for Jo's feminist independence, we also want Meg to happy with her more conventional marriage。 The character that I think has the saddest story is Amy。 Amy's always been the second or third choice but always grateful to be there。 It's nice to see her end up with Laurie, but the reader is always going to question whether he loves her or Jo。 Alcott just makes such great characters that we want to win even though each sister is characterized by a "fatal flaw。" Nice Antebellum wholesomeness! 。。。more

This book was really hard for me to get through, I’m not a fan of classics so I got bored pretty easily, besides that I know that it’s a really good book and it feels really comforting, the last ten chapters were really easy for me to get through and enjoy。

Though I’ve read this book twice before, and seen at least one movie version of it, it is a timeless classic, and I enjoyed every bit of it。

A classic for a reason。 So many life lessons and morals that it makes you want to be a better person。 Very realistic too nothing ends in a perfect way with a bow on it, love does and reforms and matures with the characters。 Disappointments and how you react to them and grow from them are just as important as the triumphs of life。 Unpopular opinion but the Jo/Laurie/Amy situation did not make me as upset as I thought, potentially it was overhyped but it was not earth shatteringly unfair or anythi A classic for a reason。 So many life lessons and morals that it makes you want to be a better person。 Very realistic too nothing ends in a perfect way with a bow on it, love does and reforms and matures with the characters。 Disappointments and how you react to them and grow from them are just as important as the triumphs of life。 Unpopular opinion but the Jo/Laurie/Amy situation did not make me as upset as I thought, potentially it was overhyped but it was not earth shatteringly unfair or anything。 。。。more

I loved this as a kid, now, not so much。 While the story arc while still good, the sexism became more of a challenge since I hadn't remembered it being so insidious。 The 2nd part was sort of stilted。 I had to struggle to complete it。 Now I am questioning if I want to read the sequels。 I loved this as a kid, now, not so much。 While the story arc while still good, the sexism became more of a challenge since I hadn't remembered it being so insidious。 The 2nd part was sort of stilted。 I had to struggle to complete it。 Now I am questioning if I want to read the sequels。 。。。more

so i stopped reading this for like a month bc bitch it got boring as hell and i realised that it didn’t have all the fun interesting plot lines like in the movie。 it’s a cute little book i wouldn’t read it again tho and would warn people that it’s basically not much like the movie apart from some scenes and the characters ofc

DISCLAIMER: The dates fixed in this review are not accurate, as this was studied for academic purposes。-This book is a classic novel that a lot of women enjoy, apparently。 I will not say I am one of those individuals, but I am also not someone who hated reading it。 I am definitely glad to have watched the movies before reading the book - both the old one and the one with Florence Pugh - since it made enjoying the book a much easier task。Almost everyone knows the synopsis of the book, but if not, DISCLAIMER: The dates fixed in this review are not accurate, as this was studied for academic purposes。-This book is a classic novel that a lot of women enjoy, apparently。 I will not say I am one of those individuals, but I am also not someone who hated reading it。 I am definitely glad to have watched the movies before reading the book - both the old one and the one with Florence Pugh - since it made enjoying the book a much easier task。Almost everyone knows the synopsis of the book, but if not, it's basically about four sisters wanting different lives and making different decisions, in terms of marriage and work。 I know a lot of people have a favourite sister and often they say it is Jo March, but I liked Amy March more。 Mostly because, out of the two sisters, Amy was both practical and ambitious。 She envisioned a life of luxury and experience for herself, by moving to France, and later marrying Laurie, while her older sister merely wanted a life of writing。 There is, of course, nothing wrong with that, but when you live in the historic era that they do, it seems a little far-fetched and unrealistic, and definitely risky, to say the least。But overall, I liked this book and liked the portrayal of their sisterhood。 I would definitely recommend it but I am also not ashamed to confess that if it was not for my university course, I probably would not have willingly picked up the book to read it。 The movie was entertaining enough for me。 。。。more
