Summary

The Naked Communist has sold more than 1。5 million copies。 It has found its way into the libraries of the CIA, the FBI, the White House, and homes all across America and overseas in Spanish and excerpted in other languages。

In this hard-hitting book an urgent need is finally fulfilled。 In one exciting, readable volume, the incredible story of Communism is graphically told。 We believe this to be the most vivid and comprehensive book on the subject ever published。 It contains a distillation of more than a hundred books and treatises on Communism, many written by Marxist authors。 We see the Communist the way he sees himself---stripped of propaganda and pretense。 Hence the title, “The Naked Communist。” Here is explained Communism’s amazing appeal, its history, its basic and unchanging concepts---even its secret time-table of conquest! Vital questions are clearly answered---Who gave Russia the A-bomb? How did the FBI fight the battle of the underground? Why did the West lose 600 million allies after World War II? What really happened in Korea? What is Communism’s great secret weapon? Is there an answer to Communism? What lies ahead?

The Naked Communist by W。 Cleon Skousen is an amazing and controversial book worthy of a five-star rating due to the insight it gives into what can be considered one of the most popular ideologies in the modern era: communism。 This book is very clear about the negatives and perceived positives of communism, where communism came from, and why so many people seem to stray towards such an ideology。 From Karl Marx to Nikita Khrushchev, The Naked Communist covers almost everything someone would want The Naked Communist by W。 Cleon Skousen is an amazing and controversial book worthy of a five-star rating due to the insight it gives into what can be considered one of the most popular ideologies in the modern era: communism。 This book is very clear about the negatives and perceived positives of communism, where communism came from, and why so many people seem to stray towards such an ideology。 From Karl Marx to Nikita Khrushchev, The Naked Communist covers almost everything someone would want to know about the ideology。 The most important part of this book is its ability to shed light on the horrors of the ideology, from the millions who have suffered under left-wing regimes, to the countries like the Hellenic Republic and Venezuela that have gone from rich prosperity to debt-ridden shells of their former selves。 One example of an event that the book sheds light on is the horrors of the Russian Civil War and how the communists managed to take an already struggling nation, and make all of its issues thousands of times worse for the average citizen。 The book even gives insight into the policies of communist nations, such as those policies that made just having thoughts that are different from those of the government a punishment worthy of death。 The biggest flaw with the book is that it was written in the 1960s, and so the book does not cover more current examples of communist regimes。 The Naked Communist is a must read, and I recommend it for anyone looking into the bloody history of radical leftism or wanting to learn a little bit more about the political history that affected the world in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries。 。。。more

This book turned out to be way more shocking than I expected it would when it comes to educating Americans (or anyone) about communism。The documentation of the history, duplicity, treachery, deception, murder, betrayal, and get out your thesaurus to come up with any number of additional descriptors of Evil and that’s pretty much what you get here。I had apparently come across this book 6 years ago and put it on my reading list。 But I never got a copy for my personal library。 I just recently redis This book turned out to be way more shocking than I expected it would when it comes to educating Americans (or anyone) about communism。The documentation of the history, duplicity, treachery, deception, murder, betrayal, and get out your thesaurus to come up with any number of additional descriptors of Evil and that’s pretty much what you get here。I had apparently come across this book 6 years ago and put it on my reading list。 But I never got a copy for my personal library。 I just recently rediscovered it through Audible。 I couldn’t be more pleased I finally finished it。 And it couldn’t be more embarrassed that I didn’t find it and read it six years ago。 The documentation of indoctrination through our schools and media is enough for any thinking person to realize we are in a long con game with a group of people committed to winning at all costs。I had to recommend reading this book more than once。 I can only hope the FBI rediscover is this instruction manual and there on moral compass before it’s too late for America。 。。。more

Wow!!The Naked Communist is without a doubt one of the best books I've ever read in my entire life。 I constantly thought about it while at work, and all I wanted to do was go home and continue reading it。 It truly opened my eyes to understand what's happening in the current world today。 I can't thank the YouTuber (Gothix) enough for recommending this book to me and other subs。 I think it should be required reading for everyone。 Wow!!The Naked Communist is without a doubt one of the best books I've ever read in my entire life。 I constantly thought about it while at work, and all I wanted to do was go home and continue reading it。 It truly opened my eyes to understand what's happening in the current world today。 I can't thank the YouTuber (Gothix) enough for recommending this book to me and other subs。 I think it should be required reading for everyone。 。。。more

It is scary how much the progressive ideology of today echoes the communist rhetoric。 Too many things in this book ring true today。

This was a fascinating book that is old in terms of its years of existence but prescient in terms of our day and time。 I enjoyed it immensely, especially the sections about the 45 goals of communism。 Fascinating stuff。

A surprisingly timely read in our current political climate。 I will never look at our current affairs and history the same again。 It's a worthwhile read for all Americans to better know what we really are fighting against in preserving freedom。 A surprisingly timely read in our current political climate。 I will never look at our current affairs and history the same again。 It's a worthwhile read for all Americans to better know what we really are fighting against in preserving freedom。 。。。more

I gotta say this has been very enlightening so far。 In all honesty I did not learn a lot about communism in school。 A YouTuber that I enjoy watching has made several references to this book to point out communist ideologies and tactics that are present in our current society。 Since, like I said, I was never taught much about communism other than that it is bad, I decided to start reading this。 I am not even done reading yet and I can not fathom how anyome could even humor socialism or communism。

Wow! What an amazing book。 I appreciated all the history (short biographies of Marx, Engels, Lenin, Stalin; recaps of Bolshevik revolution, fall of Hungary to the Communists, Mao taking control of China, etc)。 This book (written in 1958, revised in 2017) is sadly still needed today; instead of getting smarter as the decades go by and we witness repeated failures of communism to bring prosperity to any people not in the elite ruling class, too many Americans are still falling for communist and so Wow! people not in the elite ruling class, too many Americans are still falling for communist and socialist ideologies。 This should be required reading in all American high schools or colleges。Quotes:“Marxist Man has convinced himself that nothing is evil which answers the call of expediency。 He has released himself from all the confining restraints of honor and ethics which mankind has previously tried to use as a basis for harmonious human relations。” Marx and Engels “promised to satisfy humanity’s two greatest needs: the need for universal peace and the need for universal prosperity。 The very fact that Communism offered a millennium for all the distracted, dissatisfied and unhappy people in the world assured it a hearing, not merely by underprivileged workers, but by many of the aristocracy, many of the wealthy, and many of the political and economic theorists。” “The refusal to recognize man’s moral agency and the power to make a choice is fatal to Marxism。 It is the initial error on which a multitude of other fallacies are built。” “It seems inconceivable that Marx and Engels could have allowed wishful thinking to so completely obscure the facts of history that they would have convinced themselves that when a certain type of production exists a certain type of society must exist also… Historians and economists have pointed out that if history demonstrates anything at all it is the fact that there is no direct relation between mode of production and the form society will take。” “The Communist leaders seem to have misunderstood the universal lesson of life that man’s greatest enemy is inertia and that the mainspring of action to combat inertia is not force but the opportunity for self-improvement。 Marx and Engels insisted that such an attitude is selfish and ‘non-social’, but the plain fact is that a worker finds it difficult to work harder in order to fill the stomachs of ‘society’ when the fruits of his labor do not first take care of himself and his family。”Stalin “recognized in the Nazi dictator a formidable opponent of his own breed and kind。 He saw that Hitler was shrewd and ruthless。 He was completely amoral。 He had no compunction whatever against violence, the purging of his own people, the use of deceit in propaganda, nor the sacrifice of millions of lives to achieve personal power。 Materialism had produced precisely the same product in Germany that it had produced in Russia。 Although called by different names, Nazism and Communism were aimed at the same identical mark and were forged in very similar ideological molds。” In the 1940s, “We Americans (who were carrying out the China policy) mainly saw the good things about the Chinese Communists, while not noticing carefully the intolerance, bigotry, deception, disregard for human life, and other evils which seem to be inherent in any totalitarian system… Therefore, we cannot escape a part of the responsibility of the great catastrophe- not only for China, but also for America and the free world- the loss of the Chinese mainland。” -Dr。 John Leighton Stuart (USA’s ambassador to China) “The goal (of Communists), after all, was not to advance human welfare, but to advance human control。”Manuilsky (a Communist) said, “‘Today, of course, we are not strong enough to attack… To win we shall need the element of surprise。 The bourgeoisie will have to be put to sleep。 So we shall begin by launching the most spectacular peace movement on record。 There will be electrifying overtures and unheard of concessions。 The capitalist countries, stupid and decadent, will rejoice to cooperate in their own destruction。 They will jump at another chance to be friends。 As soon as their guard is down, we shall smash them with out clenched fist。’”"The most bitter reality in the communist hierarchy is the fact that after 40 years of all-out effort, numerous five-year plans, the purging, executing, torturing and liquidation of millions of human beings, the Communist Motherland has still produced little more than a dull and monotonous existence。" "The fallacy of a disarmament agreement with Russia (a nation which has violated 51 out of 53 agreements already) is this: if Russia chose to secretly rearm we would have lost our capacity to enforce the agreement。 Such an agreement gives a dishonest party a devastating advantage because of his capacity to 'arm secretly。'。。。This is what Hitler and Mussolini taught us。" "Communism does not have to be tolerated。 It has no moral, economic, or political excuse for existing。。。 Coexistence is a contradiction of terms because it means trying to coexist with world conquest, which is impossible。 One must resist or be conquered。" "The only difference between a Socialist and a Communist is in the method of takeover。 The desire to seize monolithic control of society is the same in both。。。In reality the two are twins。""(The American founding fathers) believed the progress of the human race will not be the result of pitting one class against another but will come by uniting all groups or classes in one concentrated offensive against man's common enemies: poverty, ignorance, disease and war。""Four great freedoms which must always exist in a truly free economy: FIRST- Freedom to try。。。 SECOND- freedom to sell。。。 THIRD- freedom to buy。。。(e。g。) eliminate price controls and rationing。。。FOURTH- freedom to fail。""These materialists claim to glorify the name of science and to march under its banner, but in their anxiety to discredit and repudiate God, they have openly denied the very things which science has demonstrated。""The major premises of Communism: "'Everything in existence came about as a result of ceaseless motion among the forces of nature'。。。There is no law。 There is no God。""'Human beings are only graduate beasts,' and therefore human life is no more sacred than that of a centipede, a caterpillar or a pig。""There is no such thing as innate right or wrong。""All religion must be overthrown because it inhibits the spirit of world revolution。"In Communism, "To obey blindly is considered good and therefore morally right。 But a system of morals which controls conduct in terms of right and wrong makes each individual a moral free agent。 Thus, Communism cannot stand。" 。。。more

Excellent history of communism/socialism。 Cleon Skousen clearly speaks from a ring wing christian conservative position, but that is fine because he is usually correct before he brings god into it。

This book does well to offer a comprehensive picture of what Communism is, and the horrific influence it had on the world in the 20th Century。 Skousen gives a brief biography of Karl Marx (if you want more details into the life of Marx, I would recommend The Intellectuals by Paul Johnson), a summary and explanation of the ideology behind Communism, and then a look into Communism's impact on the 20th Century (which was larger than I imagined)。If you want to understand the worldview and context be This book does well to offer a comprehensive picture of what Communism is, and the horrific influence it had on the world in the 20th Century。 Skousen gives a brief biography of Karl Marx (if you want more details into the life of Marx, I would recommend The Intellectuals by Paul Johnson), a summary and explanation of the ideology behind Communism, and then a look into Communism's impact on the 20th Century (which was larger than I imagined)。If you want to understand the worldview and context behind much of the evils that are taking place in our world today, you should read this book。 。。。more

。。more

The anti-Communist Manifesto。 Arm the bourgeois!

If you want a history of communism, this is not it。 If you want a primer on marxist/stalinist thought also not it。 If you want a bad college essay combined with a fox News opinion piece, you've come to the right spot。 The book is full of logical fallacies, over generalizations, undefended assertions, fear mongering, and black and white/zero sum thinking。 Skousen over quotes from single sources that are themselves somewhat questionable。Summarized in one sentence: Communists are bad and sneaky and If you want a history of communism, this is not it。 If you want a primer on marxist/stalinist thought also not it。 If you want a bad college essay combined with a fox News opinion piece, you've come to the right spot。 The book is full of logical fallacies, over generalizations, undefended assertions, fear mongering, and black and white/zero sum thinking。 Skousen over quotes from single sources that are themselves somewhat questionable。Summarized in one sentence: Communists are bad and sneaky and if you remotely agree with anything a communist ever said you must be a communist or a communist dupe。 。。。more

Although I found this book one-sided, I read it because I wanted to understand communism and what it was about。 This was something that I wanted to do for a long time。 I took my time reading it because I wanted to leave nothing out and understand it all。 It is an easy read, and its structure is perfect for anyone wanting to know more about communism。 He begins every chapter with questions so the reader can narrow down the information given and comprehend it。 It is a great read if you have an ope Although I found this book one-sided, I read it because I wanted to understand communism and what it was about。 This was something that I wanted to do for a long time。 I took my time reading it because I wanted to leave nothing out and understand it all。 It is an easy read, and its structure is perfect for anyone wanting to know more about communism。 He begins every chapter with questions so the reader can narrow down the information given and comprehend it。 It is a great read if you have an open mind。 Yes, it is a bit out there。 It talks of conspiracies, and it does state that communists have an agenda。 Though I personally believe that there is an agenda against this nation and that this agenda has been in full effect since the inception of this country, I urge anyone to read it because even if you do not believe it, you will at least have some type of information about the ideals of the communists and what they seek。 This book will open your eyes to things you had not heard of before if you read it with an open mind, and you are willing to challenge everything you have ever seen, heard, or known。 Yes, the author does paint Marx in a negative light。 Yes, he cherry-picks from the sources that he cites。 He has to do that to validate his point。 All writers do that。 It all boils down to what you believe to be true and whether you are willing to believe that the America that the founding fathers founded along with the constitution are in danger of being destroyed。 。。。more
