What to expect: what happens when a rugby coach， a porn star， a construction work， and a sandwich girl get stuck in a tram？ A MMMF relationship。 political/journalism storyline， fall setting， new york citySpice: 4 for the MMMFThank you to Tessa Bailey for the ARC on this book， I was so excited to be able to read this one and consider it a birthday present （it is out 11/07 my bday is 11/09）。This book was true to Tessa with her dirty talk and humor。 The woman can have me crying from laughing one sc What to expect: what happens when a rugby coach， a porn star， a construction work， and a sandwich girl get stuck in a tram？ A MMMF relationship。 political/journalism storyline， fall setting， new york citySpice: 4 for the MMMFThank you to Tessa Bailey for the ARC on this book， I was so excited to be able to read this one and consider it a birthday present （it is out 11/07 my bday is 11/09）。This book was true to Tessa with her dirty talk and humor。 The woman can have me crying from laughing one scene and then sweating in the next。 I really enjoyed all of the characters in this book， each one of the men were so different， but worked so well together。 The entire first meeting/tram stuck scene was perfect， and I love the Elise gave them all nicknames to help keep them straight （my favorite one being the Duke from Bridgerton because that's a PERFECT visual）。 Elise was a lot of fun， but your girl was a bit messy， her relationship with the men helped her grow in the short timespan of the book and it was nice to see the positive impact that they had on her。 Although， I think at one point I said， "oh sweetie no don't do that！" Then she did it。While I did really enjoy this book， there were some things that could have been improved。 I know this book started as joke on TikTok that got Tessa inspired， which is fun， but it felt like the whole production of the book was rushed。 The story would have benefited from some more work and an additional 100 pages or so， maybe even 200？ I'd still read it， but that sounds too long， so 100。The story also felt rushed， taking placing in just over a weekish。 I do love instalove， but with the MMMF relationship instalove it just felt like too much and I would have liked more build up。 Everyone was on board to enter into a MMMF relationship pretty fast， with little questioning。 I saw one review say that it felt similar to the way fated mates are draw towards one another， and I agree。 I would have loved to see them go on dates or out in public， since MMMF relationships aren't "the norm" and discuss the dynamics of the relationship more。 There were no real scene with their families or friends where they were questioned about their relationship， and the people who did know about it seemed to be on board really fast。 While this is great， I don't think that's realistic。 Some of this is addressed in the epilogue， but I would have liked to see those scenes on the page， which is where a longer book and timeline would have been beneficial。 There were also some smaller personal conflicts with each character that did not feel fully formed。 Multiple times， something was introduced and handled rather quickly。 Tobias' personal conflict would have benefitted from a longer conversation with Elise， and not just the men。 Banks' personal conflict was overshadowed by another event right after， and then just not mentioned for a while， and I really wanted to see him and Elise discuss it， which did not happen。 With Gabe， his personal conflict scene was really funny， but wrapped up really fast and I was surprised by that and wish it had gone on a little longer。The Elise political/journalism storyline was similar to most of Tessa's older works like the Line of Duty/Crossing the Line Series。 While I enjoyed those books， I'd like to see Tessa's stories expand beyond that type of conflict。 For example， the Hot & Hammered Series and The Bellinger Sisters do this well， and that's why I think more people gravitate towards those books。The last thing I thought was strange was how Elise's roommate seemed to disappear halfway through the book。 I understand that they are not BFF's， however， there is one significant thing that happens to Elise's apartment while her roommate is at work that did not get resolution。 It makes me wonder did she just come home and everything was back to normal or was she worried about Elise？ Like， this poor girl probably came home and was like "WTF HAPPENED HERE？！" There's a mention of having to call her， but it was never confirmed and I wish there was one line that would have done that。Overall， I did have a ton of fun reading this book。 Tessa does a fantastic job of taking 4 very different characters and making them fit together like a puzzle。 Her humor and smut are always top notch。 I just would have liked to see more development within the story。 。。。more

If we take this book for what it is， it’s a fun romp with tons of steam and a very quick read。 It’s started as a joke on BookTok and it’ll be adored by that corner of readership。 This is surely a case of “if she writes it， I’ll read it” because only Tessa Bailey could get me to pick up a poly am romance。 By the end， the three men had me swooning but I wasn’t as taken by Elise as they were。 Thanks to the author for the gifted copy。 All opinions are my own。

I was so excited to receive this ARC since Tessa Bailey is one of my absolute favorite romance authors。 I wanted to read this book ever since I heard her talking about it on Tik Tok。 Tessa did such a good job writing three love interest’s in a way that let you get to know all of them deeply & understand their characters equally。 I loved all three of the men （but I think Toni’s was my favorite）。 The way the men treated Elise & each other was my favorite thing。 I love the Tram Fam。 I loved Elise’s I was so excited to receive this ARC since Tessa Bailey is one of my absolute favorite romance authors。 I wanted to read this book ever since I heard her talking about it on Tik Tok。 Tessa did such a good job writing three love interest’s in a way that let you get to know all of them deeply & understand their characters equally。 I loved all three of the men （but I think Toni’s was my favorite）。 The way the men treated Elise & each other was my favorite thing。 I love the Tram Fam。 I loved Elise’s self growth is this book。 She went from someone hopping between jobs & scared of commitment to being someone that went for what she wanted & did whatever necessary to get there。 She was such an enjoyable main character。 I got a bit confused with the characters that had to do with the lead Elise was following to jumpstart her journalism career。 I can’t blame Tessa for that though， since I think it has to do with the fact that I wasn’t able to read this as quickly as I wanted to。 The subplot of corruption & a hint of crime made this book so much more than just a romance novel。 I think anyone that loves Tessa’s books will love this one & all three of these men like I did。 。。。more

Wow。 This one was definitely a surprise！ Nothing like what I have previously read from Tessa Bailey at all。 Honestly， this is the first reverse harem book I’ve read and I totally did not expect it。 My jaw dropped and my cheeks blushed several times in this book。 😂The characters were very well written and they were all so different。 All characters were traumatized by different events in their lives and their experiences made them all very different people。 Elise Brandeis has always been indecisiv Wow。 This one was definitely a surprise！ Nothing like what I have previously read from Tessa Bailey at all。 Honestly， this is the first reverse harem book I’ve read and I totally did not expect it。 My jaw dropped and my cheeks blushed several times in this book。 😂The characters were very well written and they were all so different。 All characters were traumatized by different events in their lives and their experiences made them all very different people。 Elise Brandeis has always been indecisive about things。 She grew up a military brat， so she made herself never get too close to anyone because she always left and they always replaced and forgot about her。 As an adult， she half asses everything。 She goes after several different careers and business ventures and never gets too close to anyone to call them a friend。 Never gets into any serious relationships。 While trying to fulfill her latest career move， she pretends to be a reporter and goes to follow a lead involving some prestigious politicians/bosses of companies and tries to get a story to get her in at The Gotham Times where she is currently a sandwich delivery girl。 She thinks by delivering sound evidence and a story， she will get a job at The Times as a reporter。 On the tram ride back to the city （after failing to get a good story/evidence of a story）， Elise is in a tram with 3 beautiful men: Tobias （the retired adult-film star who she knows a little too well）， Banks （the gorgeous coach of the local rugby team） and Gabe （the sweet local construction worker）。 They all try to peruse her。 She’s not one for relationships at all。 Hates checking in with her “boyfriends” and hates being relied on all the time。 She can take care of herself。 She doesn’t need anyone。 But these men are consuming her thoughts every minute or every day。 They’re relentless and won’t give up trying to snare her attention。 Can she date all three simultaneously or will she have to pick？ I was given an ARC of this book by the author in return for an honest review。 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5🌶x10Definitely 18+ readers only。 。。。more

Thank-you so much to Tessa Bailey for sending me an advance e-copy of Happenstance！ Happenstance by Tessa Bailey is a reverse harem featuring a sports romance， an “enemies to lovers” romance， and a golden retriever boyfriend。 I would recommend Happenstance to fans of reverse harems， Tessa Bailey’s other novels， and steamy romance books。 Happenstance was unique and different from any other book I’ve read in the past （even other reverse harems）。 In my opinion， the 3 males’ intense reactions and Thank-you so much to Tessa Bailey for sending me an advance e-copy of Happenstance！ Happenstance by Tessa Bailey is a reverse harem featuring a sports romance， an “enemies to lovers” romance， and a golden retriever boyfriend。 I would recommend Happenstance to fans of reverse harems， Tessa Bailey’s other novels， and steamy romance books。 Happenstance was unique and different from any other book I’ve read in the past （even other reverse harems）。 In my opinion， the 3 males’ intense reactions and instant connections to Elise were reminiscent of a mating bond; like those found in paranormal romance novels such as the A Court of Thorns and Roses series by Sarah J。 Maas or the Ice Planet Barbarians series by Ruby Dixon。 Due to the main character， Elise’s， dabble in investigative journalism， there were some unexpected instances of political scandal， danger， and kidnapping included in this book， which I appreciated as I felt that they added more excitement to the story。 I also enjoyed the fact that， even though the spicy elements seemed to be at the forefront of this book， Bailey still included some emotional elements; like how the members of the “tram fam” helped each other to overcome fears or obstacles in their lives including divorce， family conflicts， and past exploitation。Overall， I thought that Happenstance was an engaging and enjoyable read that would be perfect for fans of steamy romances！ Read my full review here: https://butterflybookblog1。weebly。com。。。 。。。more

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it， click here。 I adore Tessa Bailey books and the dirty talking， yet sweet， men that star in them。 So when I saw Tessa was doing a reverse harem book I nearly died of excitement。 Most reverse harems I have read involve a friend group inviting a woman in but I loved how this relationship started as strangers。 When all four get trapped on a tram together none of them expected the connection they would feel。 I was a little worried in the beginning by the characters seeming “insta-love” but Tessa did a great job o I adore Tessa Bailey books and the dirty talking， yet sweet， men that star in them。 So when I saw Tessa was doing a reverse harem book I nearly died of excitement。 Most reverse harems I have read involve a friend group inviting a woman in but I loved how this relationship started as strangers。 When all four get trapped on a tram together none of them expected the connection they would feel。 I was a little worried in the beginning by the characters seeming “insta-love” but Tessa did a great job of navigating not only each different relationship between four very different personalities but also everyone’s friendships。 It’s not all smooth sailing， jealousy and insecurities abound。 And the men？ Swoon。 Gabe， a sweet teddy bear of a construction worker。 Banks， a determined， suave rugby coach。 And Tobias， a sassy former adult film star。 Each with their own issues to work through and each absolutely in love with one woman。 I adored the Tram Fam and this book， which brought the steam （So much steam） 🔥🔥 and also had relatable， well rounded characters and a touch of mystery as well。 Thank you to the author for an ARC of this book。 。。。more
