A few years ago I found myself drifting in and out of NisiOisiN's light novel series 'Bakemonogatari' ('tales of the yokai' or 'Monsters Tales', something like that), the author has tons of interesting ideas but his writing always looks very flat to me, so his characters hardly ever stand out in my mind。Luckily, with manga-ka such as Oh! Great and his super-awesome artwork, for the first time the story of Bakemonogatari and its main characters came to life for me for the first time。 Good job, Oh A few years ago I found myself drifting in and out of NisiOisiN's light novel series 'Bakemonogatari' ('tales of the yokai' or 'Monsters Tales', something like that), the author has tons of interesting ideas but his writing always looks very flat to me, so his characters hardly ever stand out in my mind。Luckily, with manga-ka such as Oh! What more can I ask for!? How would the MCs break the girl's curse!?Oh! Great is famous for his artwork, the beautiful ladies he draws and the nearly NC-17 nude scenes, and all this sex-as-gimmick stuff in the story, I understand to some readers these can be offputting but I'm used to his style by now。Four stars for the artwork, but the plot isn't so bad either。 I would recommend you to read this manga adaptation instead of reading the novels。 。。。more

WOAH gile sih bagus uy。 Detail-detail yang divisualkan itu hidup, cukup buat kagum pake banget。 Dari mangaka Air Gear sih patutlah secakep itu。 intip aja ya di slide art-nya tuh best deh ngga boong。 👍Banyak sensor? Ya jelas ada yg disensor bestie, we live in Konoha guis。 Namun okelah, fanservice nya nyampe kok, cakep juga。 👀Jdi kau kanjut koleksi ini nggak sih Ki? hmmmm keknya lanjut deh 🤭 walo ini bukan tipikal genre yg my cup of Tea, Ecchi & Harem。 Tapi aku sesuka itu sama art-nya juga hal-hal unik lainnya。 🍵Kesimpulan, ini menarik, sexy, unik dan artwork-nya begitu laksmi。 ☄️ 。。。more

First off the art is really good and interesting, if you like manga art this one won’t disappoint。 It is on the hentai side with plenty of fanservice panels, so if not your thing avoid。 This is based on a series of horror stories, which I haven’t read, but after this adaptation I feel like the novels might be a better route for me as the story was hard to follow。 I went into this cold not knowing anything but horror and a nice cover, and was confused most of the time - it feels like I’ve jumped First off the art is really good and interesting, if you like manga art this one won’t disappoint。 It is on the hentai side with plenty of fanservice panels, so if not your thing avoid。 This is based on a series of horror stories, which I haven’t read, but after this adaptation I feel like the novels might be a better route for me as the story was hard to follow。 I went into this cold not knowing anything but horror and a nice cover, and was confused most of the time - it feels like I’ve jumped into the middle of the story and world。 This feels like a series of strange happenings, spirits and horrors that are tied together by a few characters that try and solve or help those affected。 It is actually kinda difficult to explain the story without giving away all the strange happenings。 All the characters are just there to service the story, we get a baseline of their personalities but little else besides the facts that none of them are ‘normal’ we don’t get much about their relationships to each other or why they do what they do。 The main focus is on the girl they are there to help。 A monster has attached itself to her and they help her deal with it, I’m not even sure if she Is supposed to be a main character or just the person they are helping that week。 Could be either, will have to read more to get a better sense of whether there is a greater story or if all of these are just a series of short stories, because it did feel that way。 Not sure if I’ll switch to the novels or just watch the anime series。 I might have to do some research to see if I skipped a series as I know there are several series connected by this theme。 。。。more

Simply not a series for me。

This was just okay。 I honestly don’t have anymore opinions on it besides that everything was just okay。 I don’t think I’ll be continuing this。

Slightly surreal fantasy manga based on a novel series, in which Japanese students and their John Constantine-like priest/mentor have to deal with supernatural entities, including crab gods, cat beings, and even injured vampires。 It’s prone to breakneck changes of direction, as well as typical Japanese humour and sleazy sexuality, and stops on a cliffhanger。

Decided to give this a read to see if I want to read the light novels。 Finished it and feel a bit mixed, off the bat I find the fan service an annoyance at best and off-putting at worse, I know this is my personal taste as someone who does not care much for physical attraction。The artwork is really nice, love the character designs and level of detail。 Sometimes find following the flow of dialogue tricky but overall the layout is good。Story-wise I’m intrigued and want to read more, thankfully I h Decided to give this a read to see if I want to read the light novels。 Finished it and feel a bit mixed, off the bat I find the fan service an annoyance at best and off-putting at worse, I know this is my personal taste as someone who does not care much for physical attraction。The artwork is really nice, love the character designs and level of detail。 Sometimes find following the flow of dialogue tricky but overall the layout is good。Story-wise I’m intrigued and want to read more, thankfully I have the second volume on hand and looking forward to reading it。 。。。more

3。75/5'Bakemonogatari' is a fascinating first installment in the Monogatari series。 It focuses on a high school boy who meets a vampire and then encounters a girl that doesn't weigh anything。 These two instances propel him into a series of strange events。 In this first installment, just the smallest beginning of the story is touched on and I am sure that the following volumes will help flesh out the world。 It's a bit confusing at first but the world feels unique and has a good dash of fantasy an 3。75/5'Bakemonogatari' is a fascinating first installment in the Monogatari series。 It focuses on a high school boy who meets a vampire and then encounters a girl that doesn't weigh anything。 These two instances propel him into a series of strange events。 In this first installment, just the smallest beginning of the story is touched on and I am sure that the following volumes will help flesh out the world。 It's a bit confusing at first but the world feels unique and has a good dash of fantasy and folklore that make me intrigued to learn what will happen next。 。。。more

It was more than a little confusing, but still interesting enough that it has me looking into the franchise as a whole

It is a strange manga。 Although it is not hard to comprehend, the story itself appears to be just a bundle of topics mixed together。 Possibly great in animation form, not entirely sure it is great in manga format。 Still, I was quite intrigued about where it would go next, and to see the rest of the gods and monsters that posessed different characters。 Still not sure if I will continue with the series or not。

¿Ayudarte? ¿Yo? ¡Eso es imposible! This, for me, is the pinnacle of manga。 The art is incredible, the story is moving, the characters make you fall for them, the dialogue leaves you craving the next panel, and the pacing is flawless。 I can give this five stars with all confidence and suggest it as a very enjoyable series。 This volume deals with Hitagi Crab, a crab that steals the weight from a person but it always comes at a cost。 Araragi and Senjogohara have such a wonderful back and forth。 Love Oshino’s character as well, hopef This, for me, is the pinnacle of manga。 The art is incredible, the story is moving, the characters make you fall for them, the dialogue leaves you craving the next panel, and the pacing is flawless。 I can give this five stars with all confidence and suggest it as a very enjoyable series。 This volume deals with Hitagi Crab, a crab that steals the weight from a person but it always comes at a cost。 Araragi and Senjogohara have such a wonderful back and forth。 Love Oshino’s character as well, hopefully you read it and enjoy! 。。。more

I had always been fascinated by this book based solely on the cover art, otherwise I went in completely blind。 Being familiar with Oh! Great's other works, I knew the art would be a stand out and sure enough it was definitely the highlight of this book。 That's honestly the best it has going for it。 The story is very disjointed and confusing。 I had to constantly reaffirm that I was indeed reading volume 1 and had not somehow found myself in the middle of this series。 Things loosely come together I had always been fascinated by this book based solely on the cover art, otherwise I went in completely blind。 Being familiar with Oh! i got this after watching the first couple episodes of the show and loving them。 the manga carries a similar beauty but the narrative jumps around more。 this made it a little confusing at first since i was expecting things in a certain order but i really enjoyed the staccato feeling of the manga!

I’ve watched almost all off the anime for the series and It’s one of my favorites。 The manga just started but so far it’s follows the anime almost exactly。 The artwork is incredible too me and is what really made me want to read the manga even tho I’ve already seen the anime。
