10/24/22so， i basically wanted to address this before this book was published bc my opinion on this book （and kotlc） has basically changed 4039284 times， and now that we're basically ab to receive this book， im going to address this now and not later when the whole booktok community goes crazy ab this。so， ive realised finally that sophie and her little gang has basically never grown up。 they act super childish， sophie esp。 she has basically no braincells， the only one she has is the PlotArmor™ b 10/24/22so， i basically wanted to address this before this book was published bc my opinion on this book （and kotlc） has basically changed 4039284 times， and now that we're basically ab to receive this book， im going to address this now and not later when the whole booktok community goes crazy ab this。so， ive realised finally that sophie and her little gang has basically never grown up。 they act super childish， sophie esp。 she has basically no braincells， the only one she has is the PlotArmor™ brain cell。 that's it。 and i really just cant-plus， messenger has been DRAGGING this series on forever。 10+ books， i tell you。 why cant we just figure out who sophie's father is and just get this series done。 cus if she leaves us with another 'sEe yOu iN boOk 10 <333' i will lose it。please。but im prob still gonna read this， not gonna purchase it。 i have it on pre-hold （？） on overdrive， ill prob rant ab how this basically ran in circles and that messenger just threw in 4029834 plot twists + enemies and sophie being a moOnlARk （ima vomit rq） and slaying， and then boom she's ab to find out ab her daddy but then nooo what about keefe huh？ so she doesn't find out who her dad is， she goes find keefe and she's like 'lOvE trIAngLe mOmEnt hmM？' and fitz does bs， and sokeefe fandom goes OFIJIDOSFJ and ykbasically every book ^， and i don't have high expectations for stellarlune。xx cya <3 。。。more

I have not even started the book yet， but I can tell this is going to be one of the greatest/most important books of KOTLC。 This was one of the first books series I fell in love with， and have been obsessed with it ever since！ Also， I’m very sad that Keefe left， and I want Team Foster-Keefe to happen。

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it， click here。 I’m not sure how anyone can truly like this book series， but I personally don’t like it at all。 I’m sure there’s an audience for it， but it was just full of flaws after flaws。 Sophie is an unbearable character with her lack of personality， Fitz is boring and a hideous person inside and out， Keefe is a jokester who is slightly sexist in the first book， Dex had so much potential but was wasted on watching on the sidelines。 Tam and Linh were somewhat interesting， but Linh’s humor is something I des I’m not sure how anyone can truly like this book series， but I personally don’t like it at all。 I’m sure there’s an audience for it， but it was just full of flaws after flaws。 Sophie is an unbearable character with her lack of personality， Fitz is boring and a hideous person inside and out， Keefe is a jokester who is slightly sexist in the first book， Dex had so much potential but was wasted on watching on the sidelines。 Tam and Linh were somewhat interesting， but Linh’s humor is something I despise。 Everyone’s humor in this book is awful。I used to love this book series so much。 It was a huge obsession of mine and now， I just see characters that weren’t developed properly。 I saw a comment earlier about growing up with Sophie Foster， and I also grew up with her。 Stepping back from my rose colored lenses， I see the characters for what they are。 Some are just pathetic and don’t do anything， while the others are selfish in a stupid way。 All of the characters on the black swans side are just so intellectual that every time they get attacked by a relative pattern ALK they do is stand there and shuffle powerlessly。 There are so many things they could’ve done， but they didn’t do any of it。 Sophie tries to be useful but just turns into a huge burden。For every book the plot is the same。 Sophie gets a new power， the neverseen trick the black swan， Sophie tries to fight back but fails by fainting， whining or just being stupid， the neverseen carefully craft a plan that was so painfully obvious that It makes you want to strike the characters down yourself， and then the book ends with the promise of fighting back。 It never happens， truly。Its a painful ride， the story pacing is atrocious in some parts and the characters hurt my brain。 I can only hope the last book will be worth my time， （ which I will still read even though my opinions on this series arent the best ） I feel like the series has gone on for way too long。 Nine books is already far too many。Two stars for memories， one star for my actual opinion。 。。。more
