Summary

The bride is a doll。 The groom is the perfect gentleman。 But the rest of the wedding party? They’re the stuff of nightmares。 Rich? Check。 Vapid? Double Check。 Entitled? Not enough checks in the world。 And the Best Man? More like the Worst Man。

But Maid of Honor Franchesca takes her duties seriously。 Kidnapped groom? She’s got this。 Rude attendees? You just watch her handle them。 So a best man with a big attitude and an even bigger…checkbook? Yeah, there’s no way she’s going to let that pretentious, judgmental jackhole ruin her best friend’s wedding。 No matter how sexy he is。 (Well, that’s the plan anyway…)

Aiden Kilbourn doesn’t do long-term relationships。 He’s busy ruling the business world, and has yet to find a woman he can tolerate for longer than a month, two at the outside。 Conquering the unconquerable is basically his bread and butter。 And he hasn’t met a challenge that he can’t win。 But Franchesca Baranski? This smart-mouthed girl from Brooklyn may just be his downfall。

I love this book! It’s exactly what I needed to read。 I loved the characters, they really sucked me in and I felt connected to them。 Frankie is such a spitfire and doesn’t take shit。 I love that about her…well most of the time。 Lol。 Sometimes it’s her frustrating downfall。 And the relationship with her family was wonderful! Lucy Score is an author that is making her way to the top of my list。This book was so good。 + on to the next。

banter, enemies to lovers, a win for me!Frankie is refreshing, witty, grumpy, stubborn but such a perfect match for the always in control Aiden。 I loved how she, and her family at times, broke Aiden’s shell and it was glorious to see him fall head over hells。 I loved the quick banter, the supporting characters and the storyline but it sort of felt like two books crammed into one — not a bad thing necessarily though it made the story feel like it dragged a touch。 Overall, really enjoyed it !

The beginning was interesting with the whole kidnapping。 I thought that would be the whole premise of the book so when that was resolved in the first like 30% of the book I was like wait! What’s the rest of the book about。 My second book by this author and I liked it!

Chelsea Bassham

Absolutely loved this book! I was kind of hesitant at first because for some reason it was “hard” for me to keep up with the third person narrative, it’s been awhile since I’ve read one in that way and I’ve found that I really like the 2 person POV。 As I kept reading I discovered my absolute LOVE for Aiden, and Frankie had me cracking up multiple times throughout the book。 I think I’m obsessed with billionaire tropes now。

I was really enjoying this book but then the plot just straight up decided to jump out the window。 The plot was done being alive and this turned into one of the most boring thing I’ve ever read。 I mean if the idea was to go for a slice of life/feel good kind of a route then sadly this book completely missed the mark。Sometime in the evening on a Sunday-So far loving it。 It’s a light read。 Don’t think too much about it and it’s super hilarious。 I am listening to the audiobook and narrator has done I was really enjoying this book but then the plot just straight up decided to jump out the window。 The plot was done being alive and this turned into one of the most boring thing I’ve ever read。 I mean if the idea was to go for a slice of life/feel good kind of a route then sadly this book completely missed the mark。Sometime in the evening on a Sunday-So far loving it。 It’s a light read。 Don’t think too much about it and it’s super hilarious。 I am listening to the audiobook and narrator has done such a great job mimicking drunk people that I was actually laughing out loud。 But the rescuing the groom thing happened mid book and that was so much chaos。 Now I’m in the middle of the sex scene and honestly after that hilarious ride this just seems slow and little dull。 Maybe it is that I’ve read so much smut that I really do not care about the sex scenes anymore unless something really really hot comes along but yeah this isn’t it。 I’m hoping that’s it’s gonna pick up some pace after the sex。Edit, a few hours later: this just went from a chaotic absolutely ridiculous funny book to something with the most boring sex scenes and no plot whatsoever。 Literally nothing has happened since they got back from the wedding。 All of this seems like confused writing and hazy half assed plots。 This book did not need to be so long。 The characters didn’t really have much of a personality to begin with but then even that was gone。 It honestly feels like two books with completely different genres and characters with same names but different personalities were stitched together。 You know how everybody loves the first book and then the sequel comes along and it’s absolute trash and nobody cares about it? That’s the vibes the second half of this book is giving me。 Smh。 So many expectations。 It was a good way to spend the Sunday, until it wasn’t。 。。。more

No es lo que esperaba al principio, pero me sorprendió gratamente。 Francesca es muy alegre y ocurrente, como este hombre no iba a caer rendido。

This was very fairy-taley - the fiery, from simple beginnings, but smart and capable heroine and the super rich and beautiful, powerful hero。That was a historical made contemporary。 It was an ok read, with some great scenes, some good characters, some good interactions, but overall not a favourite to be re-read and cherished。。。

Alessia Ciaccio

Aiden!Risate, occhi a cuoricino, lacrime e fiato in gola!Super consigliato

3。5⭐️-I call this book “Eat the Rich Unless You’re Rich Husband” which is a phrase I live by。 Lucy Score is crazy and I love her。 She always writes about curvy, big-haired, hardworking, poor af girls who fall for rich nice guys in an enemies to lovers fashion and yum yum yum I EAT THAT SHIT UP。The story follows Frankie who is the MOH of her rich bestie (Pru) and Aiden who is the best man for his bestie (Chip)。 Pru and Chip are having a boujee ass wedding but Frankie is broke af。 Aiden is stupid 3。5⭐️-I call this book “Eat the Rich Unless You’re Rich Husband” which is a phrase I live by。 Lucy Score is crazy and I love her。 She always writes about curvy, big-haired, hardworking, poor af girls who fall for rich nice guys in an enemies to lovers fashion and yum yum yum I EAT THAT SHIT UP。The story follows Frankie who is the MOH of her rich bestie (Pru) and Aiden who is the best man for his bestie (Chip)。 Pru and Chip are having a boujee ass wedding but Frankie is broke af。 Aiden is stupid rich but charming and nice (sometimes, losing some brownie points for some MMC asshole behavior in the beginning @LS)。 It tells the story from both their perspectives which I loveeeee。 It was refreshing to see a girl with commitment issues rather than the guy with commitment issues。 As a girl with commitment issues, it’s greatly appreciated。 And I’m poor af so I relate to Frankie’s poor probs even though it was agg af at how much she mentioned Aiden had money。 Eventually, she gets over that and Aiden is so good to her and they are cute af。This book was not as good or respectful as other LS books。 Aiden is kinda an alpha male in an icky, bad way in the beginning (he eventually does a total 180)。 There’s some slut-shaming which is also ick。 Also, is it supposed to be a negative that Frankie dances like a stripper? Bitch, that’s a compliment in my book。 Also, why are these bridesmaids bridesmaids? They all are annoying bitches who are mean to everyone, including the bride。 Like wtf???Anyway, in typical LS fashion, the plot gets out of pocket。 The groom gets kidnapped like for real the night before the wedding and we follow along as Frankie and Aiden try to get him back and it gets resolved quickly。 Back in New York after the wedding, Aiden and Frankie give dating a chance, although Frankie is shut off in the beginning。 They deal with rumors, fitting into each others’ very different lives, and paparazzi。 The story gets a little dragged out。 Like I feel like the second act was too long。 I think this could’ve been 100 pages shorter and it would’ve been better。 The epilogue was cute。Overall, it’s a pretty easy read but not as good as other LS books so no hardcover purchase for me。 If you like LS and/or Tessa Bailey, you’ll like this。 。。。more

This book is sooo spicy and I wanted Aiden Killbourn all to myself! My only complaint is the write style and I prefer to know more inside the characters head and have the story written from their perspective rather than just the quotes when they talk。 Overall sooooo good and highly recommend!!
