This book， as viral as it is， was not my cup of tea。 I really should have know this before diving in。 I was very much tempted to DNF it but I pushed on because it is quite an easy read and anything to bump up the numbers on my goal is worth it

Genre: ComedyGrade Level: 2ndI will be coming back to this series later in the year， but I chose to begin with the fifth installment because it was the first Diary of a Wimpy Kid book that I read as a child。 As a classic Wimpy Kid book， I still love it。 The shenanigans that Greg Heffley gets himself into because of his self-absorbed personality can be hilarious and the illustrations are still so basic that it's charming。 Some of his actions may remind me of myself in middle school， and a few of Genre: ComedyGrade Level: 2ndI will be coming back to this series later in the year， but I chose to begin with the fifth installment because it was the first Diary of a Wimpy Kid book that I read as a child。 As a classic Wimpy Kid book， I still love it。 The shenanigans that Greg Heffley gets himself into because of his self-absorbed personality can be hilarious and the illustrations are still so basic that it's charming。 Some of his actions may remind me of myself in middle school， and a few of his situations can even remind me of my high school life as well。 I will definitely revisit this book in the future as well as it is better than I remember because of the personal connections that I can attach to it。 。。。more
